Excellent service by Amazon

I bought this I-Pod for my daughter and it arrived quicker than the estimated delivery, for a week everything was great, then it froze, would not accept a charge or power on (or off). After following all of Apples on-line helps, I contacted both Apple and Amazon and a replacement was dispatched for next day delivery. I couldn't have wished for better service from them. The replacement I-Pod has been brilliant (as has the break from my daughter who is now plugged into her headphones and causing no trouble!!!!)

Love it

Best gadget I have bought for years. It can connect to free wi fi in airports etc easily. So I got my emails on holiday. The apps are such fun and so much choice. The battery life is a down side if you use it a lot. I would suggest getting an extra battery boost if going away. I use it at home all the time music, internet reading books watching youtube; a quick way of getting online if you cant be bothered to load up your computer.

Dont Buy!!!

I've been using Sony mp3 players up until now but decided to pick up an ipod classic because of the large storage capacity. Big mistake. I am so disappointed with this player, the maximum volume level is so bad, generally i dont play music that loud but it's good to know there's extra volume if you really need it but with this machine your stuck. Also the player has frozen twice already and i've had to delete and then download all my tracks again. Even the actual sound quality isn't that great and an old Sony player i've had for 5 years destroy's it in this area. OK the player has a lot of functions but to be honest it just isnt that good a music player. Why dont Sony bring out a larger capacity player? There's no way i'll be buying another one of these, waste of money!

Great little MP3 player

Great sound (I do use other earphones) for such a small player and very easy to use. I listen to classical, rock and pop music and podcasts. The FM radio function is okay, the reception can be difficult sometimes, but that's not the main reason why I bought this player. As other reviewers have mentioned, I reset the player, through System Settings to Rest of the World to increase the volume.

The I Pod arrived in great condition and works very well indeed! The downside was that it took about 4 weeks to arrive due to my order being mis laid. However, I would recommend the I Pod!

Fantastic little thing!

I bought this after much deliberation and am so pleased that I finally caved in and bought it. It is beautiful and shiny and so much fun. The apps are great and I like the fact that I can check emails etc whilst on the move. Also bought and iTrip and being able to listen to my playlists whilst in the car is great.
Well worth the money, plenty of storage and audio books sound great.

The best music player around

I've just bought this to replace my old iPod Nano, which I managed to crack the screen and thought that was a good enough excuse as any to buy a new iPod. But instead of buying a new nano I bought the full whack even if the nano is brilliant and I'm not dissapointed with this at all.

As everyone is probably well aware compard to the old walkmans which usually complently ate up your tape and the discmans which scratched your CD's to bit's and/or made your CD jump so you couldn't listen to it unless your player was completly still. The MP3 player was a great thing because it just play's your music with out any problems and you can fit it your pocket. Now the iPods are in my opion the best around, they play well and are made well.

Now compard to the Nano apart from the 152 extra GB which gives you chance to have your COMPLETE music and podcast collection (unless you got the world's biggest music collection), as well being able to have space for your films and pictures as well. The picture quality is better than the Nano as well on this (if you haven't had a nano then it is very good for a small portable device and better than my 1st TV I bought.

You don't get the iTunes CD with this product, it direct's you to download this which for me is not a problem, but as I had a nano that was not a problem for me either. So if you don't have access to the internet, be warned!

Now I believe this is the best music player around and if you get a good docking station then you don't need much else. I would reccomend this to everyone, but If you don't want to store all your music (Maybe just yout top 1100 or so songs and podcasts) or something a bit cheaper then I would go for the Nano. But this is the best one.

The worst MP3 i've ever owned.

after being a loyal Sony walkman person, i decided to go fo this because after two good year of service my sony nwz-ah8 packed in, and i needed an affordable mp3 player with a larger capicity.

First impressions are that the user interface is very slow, and not as easy and intuitive to the sony interface that i was used to at the time, but i'd thought i'd get used to it.

After using it on regular occasions after a couple of weeks it started to crash and reboot itself intermittently every couple of days or so (i use it everyday).

When having to re-charge it, i had to wait for at least a good 10 minutes for it to constantly connect and disconnect itself to my computer until it finally docks successfully.

Finally, all the graphics on the screen started merging together, after switching it on and off again the screen went entirely blank, with no music paying or anything whatsoever. It is at this point that i give up, i do not reccommend this this player or any creative product to anyone.... absolute rubbish.

I wanted a small iPod that would hold my CD collection and that I could take with me when we went away from home. The Apple iPod nano fills the bill perfectly. I am very impressed with its performance.although I doubt whether I shall use the camera much. I can certainly recommend this iPod wholeheartedly.

Great .... after you've reset the volume!!!

After buying one of these for my wife for her birthday, I asked for one but VERY nearly sent it back because of the hopeless lack of volume ... but had a quick look here to see what others had written ... sure enough, a common 'problem' imposed by some European ruling (although I think mine was set rather excessively low) - thanks to A.N.Other, the solution is to go to SETTINGS, then SYSTEM SETTINGS, then RESET FACTORY SETTINGS (accept this), then to LANGUAGE, then ENGLISH and then NORTH AMERICA. Fixed - yiphee and off to order some better headphones!!! (I suppose I will have to put up with some americanised spellings now ... ho hum!)

Shuffling good

Briught this as a present for my brother he loves it i never see him without it.
It's really small and light and brilliant quality.

Good for motivation , bad for accuracy

I am a relativley new runner , and I bought this to track my progress and help me make gains. I like the ease of interface and the nike+ website , its great to get you motivated and enter into competition. The problem with this device is that it is largely inaccurate. I calibrate it all the time and its still wrong. I have access to a measured track and calibrate it , and as soon as I do , I run the same distance and only 1/4 is .2 miles off! I ran 2 miles and it said I did 1.16. Finding this out really hurt my motivation , because without accurate info , how do I know how well/worse I'm doing. I've just ordered the Garmin Forerunner 305. I have asked around and GPS seems the way to go if accuracy is any important to you.

Shocker - bring back 2nd generation

Bought this after 2nd generation shuffle which I used solely for running died. Couldn't find anywhere selling the 2nd generation so had to buy this one. Its all been said before but these headphones aren't suitable for training and with this you need to use their headphones or the thing doesn't work. Only solution is to shell out on a third party's system allowing the use of decent headphones. If I can provide another provider of a small mp3 player which I can clip to my shorts/top then they will be my next port of call. Very disappointing.
