If it doesn't recognise your burning software go to the main menu and select 'programme' and then select your burner software from your drive and 'add' When the free trial is over the window will pop up to ask you to buy. Click Free Trial and the programme will continue to run - least it does or me. Virus check before installing too!

Low cost - High quality sequencer

This product is better than I expected. As a user of magix products I am aware of their quality but what I have now I could not honestly anticipate until I loaded it on to the hard drive of my PC. The changes from previous incarnations are subtle but make it easier to use. A novice will be encouraged to find it easy to use and create great sounds while more of an expert will enjoy discovering what more it can do. The samples themselves sound fuller and not as dark as previous magix samples. The easy to use files make it easier to identify sounds that blend well together. The synths have been improved and the new guitar synth, and piano synth are a challenge to the more advanced users. With all the other new features such as the vocaliser who needs to hire an expensive studio to do demos? The style of music that can be made is wide but I don't like the Nu Metal guitars, I'll stick with my Fender Strat thanx, but the drums are great. The video clips are good but to be honest they are not what I'm most interested in. There is a danger that if you use this product you will become adicted. If this is the case then there are not enough samples contained on the discs. I'm eagerly waiting for the soundpool collections vol 5 to 8 to be released. All in all, this is a great product to begin with or even to continue and become an expert.

Yes, this is a good product BUT it has some problems.

First, the sound is not all it can be given reproduction on CD is bass heavy (and we're talking Quad 909/99 and Gyro Dec with an SME 4 arm plus an Ortofon cartridge AND a special cable from a HiFi specialist). It means you have faff about so as to get the CD to sound like the Lp.

Secondly, the manual is not at all clear. You have to know what you're doing or have an idea what you want entails. (I wrote and managed software for years, so believe me I know what I'm talking about.)

Thirdly, I preferred the 2003 version, which allowed one to scan in Lp covers for CDs - this doesn't.

4 x the songs

Excellent product, great reviews in Wired etc etc so decided to check it out.

Well worth the money, doubles iPod capacity with no reduction in quality, can quadruple with minor reduction but to be honest i could not notice, the reviews said so while testing on Pink Floyd!

Prolong life of the iPod, until Apple really bring down their prices(ain't gonna happen) and the new touch screen versions are only 16mb!

Not bad, not great

I was slightly underwhelmed by the performance of this piece of kit considering its price. I've tried quite a few cheaper external soundcards already and they mostly perform better than this one. The signal recorded is not particular clean - not terrible but not as good as some cheaper soundcards. I experienced some latency problems - not severe, but again, cheaper soundcards from other manufacturers performed better in this area too.

On the positive side, this is a relatively cost effective way to record an instrument (guitar perhaps) and vocals at the same time. To be fair, it does what it says on the tin, just not quite as well as I had hoped.

Make your own"Crazy Frog" tune

As the dad of two ringtone mad boys. It was great to find this piece of software. It is easy to use and the kids are over the moon with the fact that they can have as many ringtones as they want and, at no cost.
For less than a tenner, this is great and even I've had to have a play and have got some great 80's tunes on my phone, which the boys find very embarrassing.
Great Fun.
Thourghly recommend it!

Realistic expectations

BR>I found this to be a cheap and very easy to use product. Sure, it takes more than the length of the movie to transfer and the sound level is low but neither are big enough downsides to distract from the ability to view every DVD you own on your PSP. I stand to be corrected, but I'm not sure the freeware versions have the direct transfer facility, which saves you using up hardrive space.
When you've installed the programme YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE mcldcrypt.exe FILE - Stick the file name in Google and you're away, otherwise Copy Protection (on just about every DVD) will stop you dead, and then it has been a waste of money.

Be realistic - plug your PSP in, click copy, walk away and let it get on with it. Watch the movie, keep it or delete it and do it all over again....just needs a bit of forward planning!! To give you a guide I've got a 1gb stick and can fit 2 90+min movies on it.

The saving in not having to rebuy your existing DVD library in UMD format makes up for the load-time and sound downsides so in short, for 20quid it's worth a punt.

A Real Winner!

I had absolutely no experience with Audio software when I started. I tried a couple of programs and found I couldn't really get anywhere with them. Then I found an old copy of Audio Cleaning Labs version 1 which gave me hope, so I bought the latest version.
As I am involved with Puppetry, I have put together 2 full sketches - Voices, Sound effects & background music completely satisfactorily using no other software! I am really delighted.
I still have a lot of old Vinyl records which I am looking forward to putting onto CD or DVD, when I have time.
I have already recommended this program to other friends in the Puppet Performing World, as excellent value for money.

The online back up does not exist.
Any ministry of sound downloads you were expecting with this product do not exist.
I judge a music management system by how little work I have to do loading in my library, setting up play lists, and syncing to my other media.
I'm sorry to say this software fails in all departments, and the skins look awfull.

Buy at your own risk

I downloaded a free trial of this program and was impressed so decided to purchase a copy from Amazon. On loading it, you get a 14 day trial and have to enter a product code to continue using it. The problem that I had was that the code printed inside the box was not accepted, so I contacted Blaze's support. It seams that Blaze do not offer support for the retail product and offered to sell me a new code.

As I am not prepared to purchase a code for a product that I have already purchased, I will not be using this product or any other product from Blaze.

If you do purchase this product and get a code that does work, then this is a very good program. But if like me you get a copy that the code doesn't work, then you are paying for a 14 day trial.

Old stock

This software ceased to be sold in November 2006 and is not supported. It costs more money to upgrade to the new version.
