just wanna say how good this system is. im pretty 'into' gadgets and wot not and i was amazed at the quality of sound! i wasn't really looking around for a dock until i stumbled across this and see the 200 reviews it had so i thought i would give it a shot and im glad i did. its got adaptors for all ipods but my i-touch just slides in the slot and is held firmly. at a hundred qiud its one of the best buys i've had.
great bit of kit, delivery was superb as usual a must. enjoy!

So good, I bought another..

I bought set of these for use at home on my Macintosh, for playing my iTunes collection. WOW, they are awesome. I was so impressed, I bought another set for listening to tunes at the office! Buy Buy Buy.

i bought this as i mainly didnt have many cds so it was a replacement for my hifi, these are a great compact speakers great value for money

Aerial fix

Noted the comments about the sensitivity. the aerial actually is just screwed into a standard socket so you can remove the telescopic aerial and connect up a more powerful aerial. This gives much more flexibility with placement of the unit

Received today - usual superfast deliver from Amazon - after ready all the reviews - I agree that this is simply a fantastic player for the money - excellent sound and build in a very stylish and compact unit - Buy it you will not regret it

Value for money

They're not going to compete with a good 'two satellites and subwoofer set-up' or top-end sytems, but for everyday listening (or watching films or tv programmes) on a pc (or stand-alone player) in an ordinary sized room they are very impressive, compact and extremely good value for the money. No separate amp is needed. There's no speaker balance control (left / right speaker), but this can be set-up on the pc or tv. My only very minor niggle is that they have little synthetic material labels on each side of the speaker (a bit like labels on clothing) that look really cheap and tacky, but they can be removed with a blade (used carefully!).

Great DAB radio

Just to add to other people's positive reviews I bought one and found it really straighforward to set up. With its large speaker it's slightly bulky but it means the quality of the sound is excellent across. The reception on FM and DAB is good, better than the other two DAB radios around the house. It's quite light, even with the power pack inside. If there is a minus it's that it has no line out socket, only a headphone socket. Selecting preset stations takes a bit of getting used to but once you have the routine its really straightforward. Good value.

WOW!!!! These speakers are fantastic.

I did a lot of research before buying these speakers. I was looking for a set of speakers that were portable enough to take away on holiday, but ones that would provide good sound quality and be used instead of a stack system. When I read the reviews on the Intempo speakers, I was persuaded to buy them. I cannot believe the sound quality. For less than £45 these speakers are amazing. They produce sound that is every bit as good as our Sony stack system which cost over three times as much. They look good too. If you are looking for a set of portable ipod speakers, stop looking and buy these!

Good value

For only 1p this product is good despite what others may say about the sound quality. Yes the sound could be much improved but you dont really pay much attention to that when this is mainly a travel speaker set for 1p not a sound system for high quality listening. I bought this solely for travelling and they are great, a small size, lightweight and standard sound.
I bought these to take skiing and are perfect for filing a apartment with music after a days skiing for 1p!

Excellent compact iPod speakers

I was mad enough to go & spend £50 on these in a high street electronics retailer - then read the other review for this product, and was anticipating being disappointed.....how wrong could I have been!

Sound quality is surprisingly very good, and I am a bit of an audio freak, so praise indeed. Even the bass is respectable, considering the speaker is about 2cm deep. Not sure it'll hack drum 'n bass, but can't knock it for the size & weight.

While it won't replace a dedicated iPod dock & speakers at home, its more than handy for weekends away, or holidays.

If you need a very slim, fairly lightweight speaker for an Ipod, you could do much much worse!

Great Speakers

Don't be fooled by people telling you you need a sub woofer the bass on these gems is astounding, great for your music and especially your games and console games.

Halo 3 sounds a treat with the high quality sound they produce, so if you don't want the clutter of a 5.1 or 2.1 system you will not be disappointed by this great 2.0 system.

The speakers come with everything you need to plug pretty much anything into your speakers as well as your pc at the same time.

Logitech Z-4: Tremendous Price-to-Performance Ratio!

After months of research, comparisons and testing of many PC speakers available to me, I finally decided to purchase the Logitech Z-4 2.1 Speaker System. So far I am very pleased with my decision based on the amount I paid. Here's a few pointers:

Pro's:
*Insanely cheap for the performance
*Sleek, elegant look
*Wall mountable speakers
*Handy remote with bass control
*Decent bass production

Con's:
*To me, it seems that the system lacks in the mids

Overall, the performance of these speakers is well worth the price I paid and is so good, they easily fill a room of any size. I highly recommended these speakers to anyone looking for speakers and have a pocket of £30-£100.

Highly Recommended

This is a well built piece of kit that looks the business. The sound quality is excellent with rich powerful bass (that you feel) & very good mids & trebles. After 3 weeks use I have not experienced the Jivebox going into standby on"quiet tracks, or when being played on low volume.As with most systems,I feel that it is at at its best at mid (i.e. you can still have a conversation) & loud volume levels as you can then very clearly hear the detail in any genre of music. I also listened to the Griffin Amplifi which I feel is on a par with regard bass but can be a bit muddy with the mids - not a problem with the Jivebox as you can just adjust the bass & treble with the slim remote to suit your taste (as well as change albums, tracks,etc). The dock for Ipods is well designed as you just sit your ipod on the connector & push it back to rest on the inbuilt support(no need for additional dock connectors etc). Before buying this,I was very sceptical that a 7 inch square cube could produce quality sound, But if you buy one I'm sure that you will be equally amazed at what it pumps out! In summary,if you enjoy high quality sound I think that you will be really pleased with the Jivebox.

DREADFUL!

So disappointing - Reception virtually non-existent. Even those stations that could be found (Radios 1 - 4 and 2 or 3 others) broke up instantly upon movement (the earphone cable acts as the antenna).

We have Roberts DAB which received perfectly, so do not believe our location (North Dorset) is the issue.

This is a very different tale to many other reviews here.

Brilliant sound

A superb hi fi for such a cheap price. The sound (which is perhaps the most important thing) is excellent. It has clarity and substance. I cannot get DAB so I wasn't concerned about that facility, otherwise the FM is very good.

Only one small negative point - WHY OH WHY do manufacturers like Sony create such an excellent system then supply the speakers with paltry lengths of speaker wire. I know you can get improved speaker wire etc but really, Sony if you are supplying the wire then don't be such a cheapskate on such a trivial thing like the length of the speaker wire...GRRRRRRRR!

Poor...Poor headphones....

I'm no expert, but i listen to music alot. these headphones aren't loud enough to use anywhere. Everything needs to be on full when using these, and they still sounds rubbish.

might be less than 15 pounds, but id rather burn the money for fun than buy these....

Superb value for money

I purchased this not knowing whether or not I'd be able to get the most out of it, not living in an area that has been upgraded to digital. I am delighted with the performance and the range of stations that I can pick up, Planet Rock can now be with me whenever I want!! If you're looking for a value for money device that does a very good job then look no further, buy this and you won't be disappointed.

The Charging Problems

The audio quality is fine. However the whole package, supplied I assume by Pyramid Distribution, is let down by the add-on cheap and nasty 13A to USA two-pin adaptor. I have had it apart and there is no way it is going to work reliably with the supplied Logitech AC-DC converter. It falls out. Fortunately being a Radio Ham I had a USA 2-pin socket to hand. This grips the converter pins tightly and the unit is charging as I speak. Try Maplin for supplies. Please get the Pyramid to change their source / design

Was really pleased with this item! Just came through today! Sound is great for me, and will be brilliant for travelling! Takes batteries and mains, which is even better! Great item for a good price!

Excellent sound quality,v/good tone control. Easy to tune and set up.Pleasure to listen to. Bought with recharge battery pack,works well. Was able to pick up 14 No 90- 100% reception Dab stations in North Dorset using radio ariel. Tried TV ariel was worse. Would need to buy Dab ariel to get more stations. Very slight grumble, instruction book says that I have a sleep timer for radio to turn off in 15, 30 mins etc,have not got this! Other timers work well. Argee with other writer that screen display is bright for bedroom even on lowest setting.Ended up draping piece of material accross radio front.
