Great wind up torch
This is a great product which unexpectedly provides a good amount of light after only a short (1 minute) of winding which then lasts about 30 minutes. It is great to put in the car or keep in the house for that time when you need it and you do not have to worry about the batteries running down when not in use as just wind to charge it up!!!97

Joke product that does not work.
I am obsessed by wind up and solar type products so my Mrs bought one of these the second she clapped eyes on it. This is a joke product and does not actually work. You wind it up for thirty seconds a bright light fills up the room and literally as you look at it that light fades to a dull glow within seconds. The light stays on for ages but is so feeble it is worthless. The fact that it has no battery back up facility (that would have made this a still viable product) is especially hard to swallow and usually is a sign of a very cheaply made product. I have since found other lanterns on the market that do work but they unfortunately cost proper money. I would suggest that any wind up lantern you see that costs less than £20-25.00 is probably a toy and like this best avoided.Stop the press. I just thought I would have a quick fiddle with it before sending in this review just to make sure I was being fair to the product and the winding handle just broke off in my hand. Make that zero stars!!!
