Review for HP Photosmart D7360:
Personally, and in the future, i'd save up for an A3 printer instead... it would be nice to be able to make 20x30cm prints for framing, slightly larger than this can manage.
All of this is unimportant however, as the printer stopped working afte 6 months. It won't recognise paper in the feeds (either of them). HP customer service is hopeless, either automated step-fixes (clearly this is a known issue) that don't fix, and that one MUST work through with the technicians repeatedly... why people won't accept that you've already tried these things is incomprehensible to me: were I cynical, I might feel that these were just frustrating and procrastinating tactics designed to put me off purusing my consumer rights. If not that, then there's an endless string of kafka-esque pillar-to-post passing around between departments, automated, and email helpdesks, all this despite being within guarantee. All i wanted was a replacement!
I think a view of the HP website shows that the emphasis is on business customers, where I presume most of their trade is done.
It's cheap enough, and worked well enough for a while, that £75 for 6 months of printing raises it above one star, just. I will not, however, buy HP again, particularly given the glowing reports of, for example canon's customer service.
Incidentally, amazon have been very poor in their response to my problem (asking me to contact HP, rofl). This isn't the basis for my rating, and is the exception in my experience; but a disappointment.

good while it lasted
2 stars for the 6 months of reliable, colour fast, predictable, photo prints i had from it. Inks are available and cheapish, HP paper is glossy, and the profiles are true.Personally, and in the future, i'd save up for an A3 printer instead... it would be nice to be able to make 20x30cm prints for framing, slightly larger than this can manage.

Review for Epson Stylus Colour 1160 Inkjet Printer:
My only bug bear over the years has been that because it uses the computer's memory (the same for all the Epson printers I have owned), when printing even a regular document, my PC becomes very sluggish, sometimes even coming to a complete standstill. When printing the larger formats, an A3+ full colour glossy @ 1440dpi takes around 40 minutes to print and the PC is pretty useless during that time.
Having said that, the quality really is superb and with non-Epson cartridges readily available for a fraction of the price of"genuine" cartridges, it has been very cheap to run, especially given the workload I have put it through (I am a graphic designer working from home).
But totally out of the blue, I turned it on the other day and all the lights are flashing. This is a straight"contact your dealer" response in the troubleshooter. No warning, nothing. Bin fodder apparently.
But here I am, searching the web for another 1160 (so it can't be that bad!) and Amazon is the cheapest, so here we go again .....

Stunning quality, but.....
I have owned many larger format Epson printers over the years and about 3 years ago I chose the 1160 to replace my ageing 1520. The 1160 has produced superb results time after time.My only bug bear over the years has been that because it uses the computer's memory (the same for all the Epson printers I have owned), when printing even a regular document, my PC becomes very sluggish, sometimes even coming to a complete standstill. Review for Canon Pixma iP1600 Inkjet Printer:
great printer at such price especially for students
I bought this printer last Novmember. Having done quite a lot of research on printer through shops and other online printer retailers, I found at same price, this one get the best quality and accessories. You don't need to purchase ink cartriages seperately. at about 30 pounds, it includes 2 ink cartriages and sample photo papers. Besides, the documents it produced are in really good quality, and quite fast, compared with Laxmark. As a pervious comment said, it is a really good choice for student, who normally just do some simple printing for courseworks. If you are one of them, I would say this is tailored for you. Only drawback is it might be a bit larger, but I still think it is great!73

Review for Canon Pixma iP90 Colour Inkjet Printer:
surprising
I bought one in April 2006 simply on size and weight for not very heavy use on the move. I have a large HP A3 at home. I did not expect it to produce such good quality print or to be quite as fast. I did not expect the tiny cartridges to last quite as long. I still use the HP, but I also use the Canon at home more than expected. It is particularly good at printing to the edges of A4 and for knocking off some quick copy. There is no paper catcher, this needs a little care to prevent copy smudging. (I let the copies drop to the floor)Brilliant little printer. very pleasing.

Excellent quality photo printer
It was a choice beetween Canon & HP. I chose the HP printer D7160 due to low running costs and good reviews. It is also well built and looks and like a quality product. The printer has worked reliably for the last couple of months. With many photos printed the ink levels are still on maximum - very good. Photos are excellent with lots of detail in the dark areas (sometimes a problem with other printers), and colours are good - nicely saturated with good skin tone. I've had no blocked nozzles or other printing problems. I've used HP Premium plus and Fuji papers with really great results -- in colour, sepia and B&W. The card readers work well and can load directly to PC or print directly. Normal printing is very fast. Downsides? Need to be little careful when images first printed - the images dry and improve over a few hours, it has manual double sided printing (which is easy to do)- some competitors do auto double sided. The software that comes with it is similar to others and is good enough, (I prefer using full blown photo editors and printing software that came with a Canon Camera) -- -- Dont hestitate -- this is an excellent printer from a known good brand and it is very economical on ink when compared to others. So unless you really need automatic double sided printing I'd go for the HP D7160.78

Review for HP PhotoSmart 8750 Professional Colour Photo Printer:
Steady performer
I bought this printer to proof garden designs before final printing at A2/A1. I have found it an excellent performer for the job. I rarely print large photos as the designs have small concept images on the page rather than large, borderless copies, etc. Compared to my Epson CX6600 A4 printer, the colours are perhaps a little washed out but I would think this is the paper rather than the printer and I only print at the normal setting not `best'. I chose the printer as new ink cartridges have the nozzles built in so that should the printer be unused for a while and clog up I can replace the ink and nozzle. Occasionally the paper flicks a corner and gets a bit smeary but this should not deter you. You will need to give it plenty of desk space but it is an A3 printer so can you expect a small footprint?80

2nd A3 from HP
My first HP A3 printer produced great results but drank ink, this one produces, if anything, even better results but the individual catridges has cut the costs dramatically.Perfect Photoshop screen image onto the printed page 100% of the time and first time.
