Sounds Great!

I bought this speaker for taking away on holiday and was amazed. It is tiny and light so is ideal for taking away and the sound is really clear, not tinny at all. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a small speaker to take away with them. My mum also bought one at the same time and is also very impressed.

Great value

This is a good value silicone case which does the job perfectly well.

Lets start with the negative, so I can end on the positive. There's no protection for the dock connector, which would have been nice and it may not be as skin tight as other products. The finish on some edges is a little rough and ready - but don't let that put you off, only the most fastidious fan would find that a problem and it is inevitable with a silicone case that this will occur as part of the moulding process.

The iPod sits snugly in the case, and as I say the seal isn't as tight as, say the iSkin, but this case does have some distinct advantages over the market leader and other cases.

First thing to note is the cost. You can easily pay around the £20 mark or even more for a case, so this is exceptional value.

The case is also thin. Other equivalent products may offer thicker skin and more protection, but at the cost of bulking out your iPod - let's face it you bought your iPod because of its visual appearance - you don't want a case that distorts the beautifully designed curves. Don't get me wrong though, this case does offer a good deal of protection from scratches.

The case features a hard plastic clear screen that covers the area of the iPod screen, offering a decent level of protection. Use of the click-wheel is not altered by the silicon case so continues to work fine.

One key advantage the jumpsuit has is the neck-strap, or a shorter wrist-strap if you prefer. both are supplied (white). Wearing the iPod on your neck means it's less likely to come into contact with the fluff that is inevitably in your pocket and which would, inevitably, work it's way between the case and your beloved device. I find it far better to wear on my neck to allow easy access than in my pocket.

Holes for the headphones and hold switch are nicely positioned and there's a belt connector at the back. Personally, I could do without this and would have prefered a smooth back to the case, rather than the inevitable raised"bump" where the (detachable)belt clip is attached to the case, but most cases have this feature.

Overall a sound product at a sensible price.

Numark IDJ

If you want pitch fading and beat matching from an Ipod the IDJ2 may be for you, but as for the IDJ, it is a really good bit of kit. Granted you can't beat match or DJ directly off your laptop, but if you are like me, more interested in playing what people want to hear, and fading in and out is exceptable, then this white mixer adds so much more flexibility to your set. Theoretically you could have 2 turntables, 2 CD Decks and 2 ipods plugged in all supported by a laptop, updating tracks that you download from Itunes whilst playing a track from your 5 other sources.

As well as being able to use it as a normal mixer for either CD decks, Turntables or even other MP3 Players or lap tops via a phono to 3mm jack, the IPOD Docks are so easy to use. The large buttons make it easy to navigate through the menus on your ipods. I run it with 2 ipod classics, a CD DECK and my laptop already to go. Just flick the switches between line in and Ipod select buttons, adjust your gain to match the current track and you are away.

The only fault is that you cannot scroll quickly through the track/Artist/Album menus as you can when you use your fingers, a problem when you use an ipod classic with lots of tunes on. But that is miniscule.

Apart from this it is a very good bit of kit. With it's ice blue LEDs and back lighting. I have used older generation ipods than the manufacturers have recommended on this and found it just as easy. Apart from an over eagerness to return to a top menu you can use them as long as they have the docking slot on the bottom.

It's cheap but far better build quality than expected. Awesome when someone requests a song you haven't got it but they have it on their ipod. Plug it in and you are off, no lag times or load times.

So if you are starting out, or you you can beat match without the technical cheats, give it a try, I myself got it as a broken laptop and CD Deck left me struggling with 1 CD deck, a DVD and an Ipod at the start of a 5hour function. My old 2 channel mixer was really limiting. This brings the Ipod to the same level as either turntables or cd decks, if only I had it that night.

I'll say it again awesome.

Don’t bother

Having had many cassette adaptors over the years for my iPod, I figured paying a little bit extra for a supposedly very good one was worth it. I experienced exactly the same problems as other reviewers in that it would only output to a single channel. And even that stopped working within 20 minutes, leaving me with nothing but very base-y static from the left speaker, and nothing at all from the right. A complete waste of money.

It also has a very poor design whereby the cable comes out of the top of the cassette rather than the side like most other adaptors. This made it a very tight fit into the tape deck.
