Excellent bit of kit

Like the previous reviewer I was looking for an iPod dock to RCA phono cable. This Nyko was the only one I could find.

Putting aside the comments about the packaging above - the item description and photo don't really convey what a nice piece of kit this is. The cable is actually 6 feet (1.8m) long - it looks much shorter in the photo. The phono plugs are also of excellent quality - solid and weighty with gold plated"turbine" connectors which provide a very firm connection.

Now I have one for the car I'll probably get another for the home hi-fi - the sound is really much better than through the headphone socket and of course isn't affected by the volume control on the iPod.

Good skin / screen protector / arm strap

This does exactly what it says on the tin - it protects your 3rd gen Nano and comes with the added bonus of an armstrap as well as a second skin. The 2nd skin is a bonus (see caveat below).

The arm strap can be easily afixed to the Nano without having to take the skin off, and the Nano can be removed from the strap without having to take the strap off of your arm. It comes with an extender to allow it to fit larger arms without being too tight. I found it very secure and comfortable.

The screen protector doesn't detract from the 3rd Gen Nano's excellent video quality.

Some minor observations:
- Operation of the wheel becomes tricky due to the reduced sensitivity through the silicon - for example when you want to fast scroll through a list of artists.
- The screen protector is a separate piece of clear plastic that fixes directly onto the screen, but there's only one in the pack, so if you are buying this product to use the second skin to protect a second Nano only one of the them will have a screen protector. I nearly threw the screen protector as I thought it was part of the packaging !
- As per some other reviews I've read it does attract dust & fluff, but that's always going to be the case with a silicon skin particularly the black one.

Overall very good value for money compared with similar products.

Excellent protection, snug fit, and well worth the money!

This Gear4 Leather Jacket was bought for my new 2nd Generation iPod Nano (aluminium). Although Gear4 states it will fit both the earlier nano model and the new 2nd gen models, this case looks and feels precision made for the 2nd gen model (I cannot comment on how 1st gen models fit into it).

The quality of the case is excellent...as is the leather, which is soft to the touch, but 'hard' enough to protect your nano.

When buying cases for iPod's, there is nothing worse than having a slightly irregualr fit, where the screen could be sligtly obscured at the edges or access to the headphone socket being half hidden. I am pleased to report that this case fits my nano perfectly. And I mean absolutely snug with a clear view of the screen and click wheel.

Also, there is clear access to the headphone socket and the hold switch too. The only thing that some may find slightly annoying is that you have to remove the nano from the jacket to charge it up/transfer music as the port at the bottom is obscured when in the case. However, for the mere few seconds it takes you to remove it from the case, only severe anal retentives will find this a problem :)

There is a handy removeable belt clip on the rear of the case, and a securely attached steel half ring to attach the free Gear4 neck lanyard to, that also comes free with the case.

The front flap secures by looping the tab underneath where it easily attaches via a magnetic press stud on the back. There is no pressure required to close the stud, with it being magnetic, it just 'draws' it into the hole and fastens very securely.

I am very pleased with my purcahse and I think this case; being made from good quality leather, with an excellent design and a snug and secure fit for your ipod nano (2nd gen), represents truly excellent value for money, especially after trying other, similar priced, but alas sub-standard cases and sleeves.

Not as described - don't waste your money !!

They claim it will charge your ipod - it won't.

They say it is wired - which would suggest an AC adaptor - it doesn't have one - it runs on four AA batteries.

Don't waste your money - I contacted them to try and get my money back and they aren't interested.

Untrustworthy seller - gives other amazon sellers a bad name.
