Not bad At All

I have never owned an ipod before but a friend of mine does and i was quite impressed with hers. I decided to get one myself recently mainly because of going away next month and wanting to take music with me. Personally the only downside for me is having to use itunes. I have never used itunes before and neither had my partner so we have spent a lot of time messing around with it. But i think if you are familiar with itunes you won't have a problem. I like the size of it as i was looking for something compact. It is about the size of a credit card and almost as thin. The price is good for what you get, i was always put off in the past from getting one because of the price. The sound quality is great and you can get quite a lot of music on there, i have 76 average length albums on there. The labelling of the music isn't perfect but personally isn't an issue at all. It also has the odd extras on it, i quite like the games, especially the quizzes which i had found strangely addictive.

All in all i think it is a great product

Terrible until............

I cursed these as a waste of money....until I fitted the right size rubbers and pushed the 'phones right into my ears. Frightening man, frightening! Buy these! Now!

Ipod Just Got Better!!

I cannot understand why Apple Ipods get so much negative feedback here on Amazon. In the past few years Ive owned a 20GB Ipod and now ive just bought this 8GB Ipod Nano. I was really worried abou buying one from reading some of the reviews people have left. Infact these negative reviews nearly put me off buying one altogether although I need not have worried.

When I received my Nano through the post I was blown away by its small size. It is incredible. I was also impressed by the black gun-metal finish which is a great departure from the old Ipods which now tend to look very cheap. The screen is a good size and the Nano fits perfectly in my pocket, whilst still being very sturdy so I have no fear that its going to snap in two!

The Cover Flow is super and yes the nano does tend to freeze from time to time (just like my computer) but this is not a problem. All you have to do is hold down the menu button with the middle button for ten seconds and the Nano reboots itself. Easy peasy!

Some of the reviewers here on Amazon seemed to have a problem with the sound generated from the Ipod. I cannot understand this at all. What I did was to go to settings, then volume limit, then turn volume limit all the way up. If you do this I guarantee your ear-drums will bleed!

All in all a great little Ipod, forget what the negative reviewers have said, I doubt that they even bought one. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!

Was going to get three of these.... then discovered they are delivered in a solid gold envelope... they must be for £15 p&p!! What a rip off

Mixed Bag

I upgraded from Version 1.
They have removed useful things like itinerary planning and substituted things like a help facility which tells me that my nearest police station, surgery or pharmacy are in Dublin - I was in Liverpool at the time !
Lack of memory means that you have to delete maps before you can download new ones. Could be a problem downloading that size of file.
TomTom helpdesk is a waste of space.
Apart from the above it is still a good unit which does its primary job well and is good value for the money.

Don't buy if you have a Mac

Do not buy this product if you have a Mac as the support team only have Windows tools to fix problems. I bought a new map but after installing it the device is"unable to store settings: file access error". The only solution from TomTom is to plug the device into a Windows PC and run a Windows exe. So I'm stuck with a device that either won't work or works with an out-of-date map. AVOID.

good headphones. good, crisp sound. fit well but don't use them for running/gym. they block out all other sound so good if you need to concentrate. they are also increadable comfy.

Nintendo DS Lite R4 Revolution Version 2

Its the same as a NDSTT card, Ive got both and they do do the same. Out of the two the TTDS card is cheaper but has no disc to load the programmes. But you have to down load the NDSTT programmes from the web site. Its easy to do.Both are good cards and worth every penney. Look them up its a must.You need to get a micro sd card as well 1 or 2 GB are fine.

Amazing!!!

Wow, i love this ipod!! it replaced my old 3rd gen 20gb one which broke after being chucked on the floor... what an upgrade!! iam really impressed with all the layout features and all the colour of it makes it feel really special. The sound quality has improved aswell - if i am not mistaken, i adjusted the sound equalizer to"loudness" which means the headphones that come with it are not actually that bad!! They were actually a pleasant suprise with more base than the ones that came with my 20gb 3rd gen ipod (ok they're not great but they're fine for general listening). The response time when changing track is also faster than my old one. It also beats the value of any of it's other competitors.

"Must Have" gear for the"Must Have" iPod

I was lucky enough to be given an Apple iPod Touch for Christmas. I loved the look and feel, but knew that without a case or sleeve it would be scratched and chipped in no time. I spent quite a bit of time reviewing which plastic, rubber and leather cases would work with my new toy (I didn't want just anything wrapped around my nice new gadget!).

As soon as I saw the leather Belkin book-style case, I fell in love. I was a bit put off as Amazon was not selling direct, but I took a chance and purchased through the marketplace seller. Needless to say, the item arrived in no time (excellent service), and the case itself was just beautiful - the perfect match for the Touch.

The iPod Touch fits snugly inside the case, which has a front book-style opening that is secured by a little bit of velcro when not in use. All ports are accessible without any problems, and I was impressed that the case came with a stick-on protector for the touch screen. This was easy to fit and has not impaired the use of the device at all.

I have to say this is the best looking, most stylish case I have seen for the Touch - everyone I know wants one and that is as good an endorsement as anyone can give.

Excellent MP3/MP4 player

My Creative Jukebox has finally given up the ghost, it has done a sterling job for me for 5 years. I have now owned this beautiful Sony A818 for over a week, It is a superb product, transfering of files via XP or Vista is a breeze, don't know what the previous review was on about, it's so easy by either dragging a folder over or by using Media player 11, I bought ImTOO DVD to Ipod ripper to rip movies to the Imtoo folder then drag and drop the movie (usually around 500mb for 2 hour film. I have put on 5 of my favorite films and around 700 pieces of music. I still have a gig and a half of space.

Sound quality is brilliant, headphones are a very good quality and comfortable, but my Sennheiser PX200 sound really nice. Product styling is gorgeous, ease of operation is all up there with the best i've seen, non of that itunes rip off, the price i got it for was superb too, I have seen and heard my brother and daughters ipod's and thought them good but this betters them. Price wise ipods are over the top too. This is a beautiful piece of kit. Highly recommended. It betters the competition, could have done with a bundled DVD transfer tool though.

This is what you call a gadget

I have been through the ipod range, including the 5th gen 30gb video ipod, i've never had many issues. My only gripe has only ever been the battery life. The ipod touch has bowled me over, it really is pretty amazing. It's tiny in comparison to 5th gen video yet it doesn't feel too delicate. The itouch is a touch of class, it's eye grabbing, people want to play with it all the time and above all it's sexy. The new 3.5" screen is something to behold, great for photo viewing, video watching etc and the fact its touchscreen controlled just gets you excited.

The safari web browser so far has been fine, i've been able to surf, check emails and even internet bank. It's not compatible with flash so you can't watch videos on bbc for example, but it is compatible with bbc iplayer - pretty cool. Itunes is a basic version, but if you buy yr music online then this is amazing - i personally don't i prefer cd's - but this will be so tempting as i'm away lots. Incidently, I'm using a bt home hub and its been perfect so far, even from the bedroom.

I have about 6 films on mine at the mo, the picture quality isn't amazing but I think thats more to do with my actual file size than the ipod. However, it's more than watchable and only the over critical would complain. The photo element is really exciting, having friends/family around the country i can take my latest collection with me and feel i'm showing quality photos to people and not a thumb nail version.

The calendar is fine, and just to clarify a point from another review you can make entries, quite easily in fact. You can even add alerts to yr entries :-) the maps, weather and stocks tabs are gimicks but all the same quite handy if yr in to that kind of thing. The contacts appear a little limited but i must confess haven't really explored that much, don't think i will either thats what my mobile is for.

Sounds great, but not with normal headphones - i think we all know that though. I have a pair of Bose noise reductions and i never really thought i see such a difference. Wow - you really can tell. I love the fact you can browse by the album covers too, this for me is fantastic, album covers are part of the experience of music. The battery life i have to say is, so far, better than my old ipod.

I have 3256 songs, 6 2hr films, 5000 photos and still have 8.4gg - i resisted the 16gb for obvious reasons, i like choice and having a 30gb video ipod i would have never gone backwards. I'm glad i resisted, even though i have paid top dollar for what can only be described as a 'toy' i know i'll use it a lot. Yes its expensive and i think it's a disgrace you don't get a sleeve/cover at least (although the sleeve i got with my old ipod has come in really handy - perfect fit) shame on apple really! It's for this reason alone i've knocked off 1 star - money grabbers - but hey welcome to the real world. A few glitches exist, turning it portrait to landscape can sometimes take a second for the software to catch up - but i think an update will sort this out. It's also compiled 3 greatest hits albums into 1 - but again this is the beauty of software updates.

You'll get over the price, and it really is a step up from 5th gen ipods. No regrets at all. I challenge you not to love it.

Great for running and other outdoor sports

I currently only run a few miles every other day to keep myself active.
They perform exactly as I need them to when running:
I never have to adjust them.
They don't give me any discomfort.
I have no issues with the sound quality.

When not running I tend not to use them:
The bar gets in the way when laying back on a bench or any headrest.
When inactive they are not as comfortable as non sport models of headphone.
Higher audio quality headphones exist for sitting back and listening to music.

amazing!

i love this ipod so much it is so worth getting!
the games (addictive) and videos will keep you entertained for hours, and itunes offer so so many free podcasts that are actually fun and interesting.
took no time at all to sync to my ipod library and although ive put all my music and over 100 episodes of different podcasts im only just halfway over the capacity, which is superb.
i bought mine from pixmania and everything was excellent: actually arrived one day before expected!

just upgraded

having just received this this morning from another website just thought i would put a little review down... well the only thing i wished for was more space on my pink 2nd gen nano and was sorely tempted by the new nanos when they came out at the end of last year but was sad they didn't do pink well what a surprise when i saw them now available in pink and snapped one up.......am really pleased it is not a vibrantly pink as the 2nd gen but still pretty smart...coverflow is good and the whole software is slicker and seems more advanced i have put 1 movie on it as a trial just get some shrinking software from the internet and it is amazing the picture etc fab and TINY!!and have just downloaded bomberman from itunes it's fab too all in all am pleased and have just ordered a case as am sure has the potential to scratch the back of it is so shiny and want to keep it that way.i would recommend

Simply Spectacular!

What else can I say?! The sound is crystal clear; the trebles are high, the midrange is precise and the bass is punchy yet not over-powering... I love it, the only trouble is that you'll waste hours skipping through every single track just see how they sound on this thing!

It's also a very sylish design and doesn't attract the fingerprints like I thought it would. The remote works from a decent distance and the docking is very solid/secure

This system rocks, it would cope well anywhere - ie. kitchen, bedroom all the way to your lounge! Far and away the best sub-£100 iPod/MP3 docking station on the market, you will not be disappointed!

Obviously, if money is no object then go for the B&O instead (£400)

Great Product

I got this along with my Western Digital 250GB Passport HDD. It holds my HDD very securely. The usb cable is stored behind some netting and prevents the casing for the HDD getting scratched.

Overall its a great product for keeping your portable HDD safe during transport.
