Review for Creative ZEN 8GB MP3 Player:
I've owned it now for about 3 months and had no issues whatsoever. Like a lot of the people on here the fist thing I did was to flash the firmware, updating the player with the US firmware as it got rid of the rather low EU set volume level limit (A good idea in practice - but I use the thing in a gym and other types of noisy areas)
It has performed flawlessly since, you don't even need the supplied software as it integrates into XP systems with no installation, just connect the player and click and drag through explorer, simple as that. The best thing is once you have installed the music on to it, it's still your music! You can plug it in anywhere else and copy more to and from the player as required without having to jump through any DRM infested software hoops. This is a big bonus as myself and my wife share the player for gym & cycling and update it from two different Pc's. No rubbish iTunes or that atrocious Sony software to mess around with!
As for the picture and film viewing, it does what it says on the box, however i'm not entirely sure why anyone would want to watch a films on a screen that size...*Shrugs* However the feature is there should you need it. The menus are well laid out and very intutitive and you can change the background colours to suit your personal taste.
All in all it's been a great, stylish looking, small and easy to use MP3 player and with a large 8Gb (upgradeable) of solid state storage at this price it's a definite bargain.

Review for Creative ZEN 8GB MP3 Player:
Bomb Proof
Fantastic little player. Having owned both a Sony mp3 player (Great player, rubbish, chunky, DRM infected software) and an iPod (Just plain rubbish, returned after 4-5 months, in which time I'd already had two full replacements - and iTunes is just yuk *shudder*) This little thing puts them both firmly in the shade.I've owned it now for about 3 months and had no issues whatsoever. Like a lot of the people on here the fist thing I did was to flash the firmware, updating the player with the US firmware as it got rid of the rather low EU set volume level limit (A good idea in practice - but I use the thing in a gym and other types of noisy areas)

Not too pleased..
I wasn't very happy with the item when i recived it, since the description says that it is ideal for you holiday. That was when i realised there was no batteries. I thought the meaning of portable meant you could take it anywhere, but this chunky thing needs a power supply, so I'm going to give it to my Brother, and look elsewhere for another speaker.24

Very Impressed
I'm one of those people who hate the fact that people are so fixated with ipods, yeah they are nice to look at but are very overpriced. I bought this 16GB Creative Zen for £89.99, it is also a very good looking piece of kit, the same size as a credit card and only 10mm thick. The menus are very easy to navigate and transfering music/photos/video is a doddle (Just drag and drop in Windows Media Player/Centre or Windows Explorer).25

Wont even fit!
The product descibed it as being compatiable with every iPod - I have a 2nd generation Ipod Nano and it wont even fit in the cable port to charge!! Dud. What's the point in sending it back to get a 1p refund? It will cost me another 5 pound to post it back!! My advice - bin it and learn a lesson!28

Review for Sennheiser PMX70 - Sportline Stereo Neckband Headphones:
I really tried to make these headphones work as I needed a set that would stay in place during a workout. But after many attempts I had to give them up, they were just too excruciating to use.
If it is at all possible I would advise potential buyers to find a shop, or a friend who has them, who will allow them to try them first before buying, if I had done so I would have known within minutes they were no good for me. On the plus side the sound quality is very good especially if you are an ipod owner.

Review for Sennheiser PMX70 - Sportline Stereo Neckband Headphones:
This is a pain you don't need during a workout
These are a `one size fits all' headphones, which is great if you fit within its size range then you will probably be gushing for joy like the majority of reviewers here. On the other hand, if you fall outside of the size range, like me, then you are going to be in for a painful frustrating experience with this product. The earpieces are made of hard plastic with no cushioning and the neckband is designed to exert pressure on them to keep them in place during sporting activities. Unfortunately there is no means of making adjustments to make them fit comfortably. So if they are not a good fit then they will feel like someone is constantly trying to force hard plastic clothes pegs into your ear holes. Another problem with the design is that the neckband protrudes too far behind the head. This won't be a problem if you are only going to use them for jogging or cycling but if you want to use them in the gym as well, like me, then you are in for another painful experience. Whenever the back of my head came into contact with any surfaces such as benches, headrests or the floor then the neckband would be driven forward causing the earpieces to stab painfully into my ears.I really tried to make these headphones work as I needed a set that would stay in place during a workout.

Maybe ahead of its time?
Fundementally this product did not work for me. During the course of my 20 mile journey to work in the fringes of the W. Mids conurbation I think it was only listenable for a 3 mile stretch of the M5, otherwise it constantly cut out, or could not receive the station I wanted to listen to at all. It has the makings of a great product, but at present, certainly in my area, the DAB signal simply isn't strong enough to support it. At present it's not fit for purpose.32

Review for New Apple iPod classic 160GB black:
I got this for Christmas, precisely six months ago - yes, I know that it's the 27th today, but I was so excited about it that for two days all I could bring myself to do was touch the box(!). I was immediately struck by all the features that by now have become clichés: the elegance of its design, its physical feel, the simplicity of its interface. I was also surprised at how easy it was to set up: just plugging it into the laptop caused the battery to start charging and the music and photos to begin transferring. Once the initial part of my music collection was on there, I began to understand how the iPod can be seen as a fetish. The disappearance of the physical realization of music (LPs, singles, CDs) has left behind its essence - i.e., (what appears to be) just pure sound. A large part of our individuality (or - for those of us who plumb the depths of shallowness - all of it) is defined in terms of the things we like. To have just about all of those things contained inside one object makes that object appear as an extension, or a projection, of yourself or almost, to stretch the comparison unfeasibly, as the essence of you, or your soul. My experience with the iPod over the past six months has toned down my initial fervour somewhat, but it can't be denied that it's become a sizeable part of my life, since I've used it every single day.
When it comes to filling up all that space, I spent a merry few months copying (what I thought would be) all the music I needed onto it. The photos get synced automatically every time it's plugged into the laptop, and I've also put several movies on there, although I find it slightly uncomfortable viewing something with so long a duration. This isn't a problem with the display; the screen is jewel-like, with QVGA resolution (when you consider this is a quarter of what used to be standard on desktop PCs, you get a sense of the speed of technical improvements). Instead, it's the physical act of looking at a small object for a couple of hours that I feel a little strange, although this is probably more a problem with sitting still for that length of time (but when this is compelled - as for example on a lengthy flight or train journey - I've found it surprisingly easy to lose myself in a movie on the small screen). The real discovery, though, has been music videos and TV shows, whose shorter duration makes them ideal for - say - a brief bus journey. It's been easy to make these by chopping up DVDs - indeed, carrying them around with me has given them something of a new lease of life since they're more accessible on the iPod.
As for criticisms, it's hard to find any, although I'd appreciate a little less simplicity in the interface, which makes it hard to distinguish between songs if several have the same name and you're looking for a specific version. I've no idea how this model compares to other ones; it sounds very good, the display is excellent and I've found the battery to be well-behaved, with a lifetime that's perfectly adequate for my needs. And - in spite of my pounding on it daily - I've experienced only one tiny glitch in the interface on an isolated occasion, which has never recurred. All in all, I think my title is more than justified.

Review for New Apple iPod classic 160GB black:
The perfect thing
I spent a long time resisting the lure of the iPod, thinking that those who worshipped them were confusing the container with its contents. I could see the point of being able to carry around all your music, but - having a fairly large collection - was all too aware of the limitations of the earlier models (and indeed of the early MP3 players). In addition, they just seemed too darned expensive for what they did. Of course, advances in technology and fashion increased the capacity and decreased the price, with the result that this, the larger of the two 6th generation models, currently represents the best value for money as regards space. What's more, it looks as if this won't change very much in the future: with the advent of the iPhone and its touch interface, it's unlikely that the so-called classic iPod will receive any further enhancement, which means that this model represents some kind of peak, or perfection.I got this for Christmas, precisely six months ago - yes, I know that it's the 27th today, but I was so excited about it that for two days all I could bring myself to do was touch the box(!). I was immediately struck by all the features that by now have become clichés: the elegance of its design, its physical feel, the simplicity of its interface. Great piece of kit at a good price.
Was looking for an FM Transmitter for my iPhone and had a bad experience with a cheap and nasty 'Made in China' effort which was a waste of money. Saw one of these Belkin Tunebase FM in halfords and PC world but they wanted £80 which i thought was a bit steep, considering it doesnt state its compatible with the iPhone. Had a look around the internet and found it at half the price here, took a chance and hey presto!! Put the iTouch cradle on, put it in the car, pushed the clearscan button and it works perfectly. Really pleased with this and for £40 its a good price. If you have an iPhone and want an FM Transmitter you wont go wrong with this.37

Lovely case
This is a lovely little case to protect your zen. It does not make your zen"larger" as some cases do, if you see what I mean -- the skin is both protective and compact. It had a popper to clip to your belt and a magnetised cover to keep it from opening accidentally. Not much more to say except that it's well worth the money and I didn't regret buying one.38
