Think twice

I brought these for my wife as she would not let me buy her a pair of Bose Triport saying they were too much money.
She has eaten her words...... can I have Bose she says these are rubbish.
My first bose were £50 from ebay but now you can get them somehow on Amazon for £15 how I dont know but.... they are much better and a lot more money from Bose but you can tell the difference. So Ive replaced them and binned these.

Bad product

The product i had received was used, although i had thought this product was brand new, i was very disappionted about that especially as they were in ear head phones. I did not recieve the spare ear buds for the product either. Over all the product let me dont, although deliverly was quick

Excellent

I bought this to replace a Creative Zen Nano 1GB MP3 Player (which has developed an annoying habit of switching itself off for no reason). The sound quality is not quite as good as the Creative (which has a built in graphic equalizer function for listening to different styles) but having said that it is excellent for such a tiny compact, convenient device. The clip is extremely useful to me as I listen to music while working out in the gym and it clips easily onto shirt/shorts.
The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the headphones supplied by Apple are awful - they blast out at high volume but it's like listening through wet cotton wool. I use a pair of Sennheiser CX300 Ear Canal phones which are immensely superior to the Apple ones. They take a bit of fiddling with to get the right size and then to form a seal around the ear canal but once they're in they sound great with the ipod shuffle.

Easy to use but poor sound

Far from the 'great sound' mentioned by other reviewers, I find the sound lacking totally in treble. It's a muddy sound with no real clarity.

This is a shame as the radio works extremely well.

Cack

Worked fine for 6 weeks then the battery simply died - it would light up when charging but that was the only sign of life. Sure its cheap, but there's a good reason for that! Total waste of money.

Mum Loves It

My Mum Recently Decided To Buy Herself An Ipod Shuffle After Worrying For A While About The Cost And HavinTo Wear Earphones. I ALready Had An Ipod Nano And Really Encouraged Her To Buy An Ipod For Herself, Obviously. So InThe End She Did And Has suddenly Got A New Best Friend!! She Has Had It For 2 Days And Has Already ALmost Filled It Up and Spends Half Her Time In Front Of The Computer Getting More Songs.

I NEVER Thought I Would See Her Go So Mad About A Piece Of Technolgy. But Hey, If anything Can Do It An Ipod Can!

Great value for money, great sounds, great portability

Bearing in mind that the price has dropped to £49 (£39 for white), a full £30 cheaper than a leading electrical retailer (who had just cut their price by £20), I think this portable speaker dock represent excellent value for money. Prices quoted are for March 2008.

The depth of sound is great for such a small unit, with little perceivable distortion on maximum volume, using an Ipod Touch. The volume is not the loudest, but more than adequate for a portable unit, and plenty to fill an average sized room. If you want louder sounds in a portable unit, with built in rechargeable - Lithium Ion battery, check out the Logitech"Pure-Fi Anywhere Speaker Dock", but it is more expensive and more than twice the weight.

A previous review stated that not all the remote control functions worked. I have had no such problems with a 16GB Ipod Touch. All available functions work with this Ipod. Pressing play when powered off wakes the speakers and Ipod up and starts playing almost immediately. I would have liked to have seen playlist/ album buttons though. Range seems fine, can control from more than 5 metres away, but you need to be in direct line-of-sight at this distance.

There is no pass-through USB port, but I knew that from the previous reviews and checking out in an electrical store. I'm glad this was dropped, as it has allowed the price to drop further. I doubt many people will buy for this purpose anyway.

What would be nice would be the ability to rotate through 90 degrees for watching videos, but I have not seen this in any speakers so far. I connect the Ipod to the audio line-in port at the back for this.

If you want decent sounds from a low cost portable unit that looks great and comes with a 2-year warranty, rechargeable battery, remote control and travel case, then you can't go far wrong with one of these!

Excellent

This was exactly what I was looking for. A simple case, with an easy, quick to locate clasp. The leather is very soft, the fit very snug, and there are no annoying clips.

Really Impressed

Had this for a couple of days now and I think it's excellent, especially at £150 for 32gb of flash memory. It's easy and quick to navigate, sound and picture quality is excellent and it is very small and light. I've never had a Creative mp3 player before (previously owned 2nd gen ipod and sony) and was impressed with how simple it was to load files onto the player and how easy it is to find and use the different functions.

The FM radio is good too, with the ability to preset 32 stations in a simple manner.

Only slight negatives - no mains charger comes with it. Slightly annoying as I intend to take it on holiday soon and have no intention of taking a laptop on holiday. However, you can easily buy them online so it just means you need to factor in a few extra £'s if you need a mains charger.

Also, as another reviewer mentioned it has the world's shortest usb cable! If you have a tower-style pc you'll either need to prop the player on something or leave it hanging in mid-air out the back of your pc. It's so light you could probably get away with doing that but if, like me, you're not keen on having things dangling out the back of your computer you need to find something to rest it on. Again, hardly a show stopper.

Finally, it doesn't have any games. Personally I couldn't care less about this but I know some people do.

Overall, it's reasonably priced, has excellent memory capacity for a flash player, is simple to navigate and it's very easy to upload and manage files from your laptoppc. I'm impressed!

If you want a cheap, reliable set of DVD-Rs, and don't mind the fact that they don't have individual cases, then look no further. With this set you get 25 disks for, at the moment, 5 quid. Unlike disks from other manufacturers, these do not become corrupted halfway through the burning process, or fail on 97%. They are compatible with any burner, and play without problems. Each disk is almost 5Gb, meaning about 6 hours of film, or thousands of your best pictures can be stored. The recording process is quick, and the final product is exactly as you want it to be. The cakebox is easy to store, although i prefer individual cases which do take up more space in your house. Of course, you can buy sets with cases, but for those of you who don't mind, this is perfect

Will make a runner out of a couch potato

I bought the Nike+ kit for the iPod Nano just after Christmas as part of my post Christmas usual fitness drive. I have never been into running, having tried to get into it a number of times before. I didn't want to buy the Nike + trainers so I bought one of the plastic holders that you can attach to your trainers. The Nike+ kit however is a truly fantastic product, it gives you a motivation that I was not expecting. It works very well and when hooked up to the Nike+ website, it can allow you to set goals and track progress. This is brilliant, and it provides such a sense of satisfaction as you achieve your goals and see your average time improving. I could not recommend this enough whether you are a seasoned runner, or a novice looking to get into shape, this is the right piece of kit for you!

Reliable and well-priced

I have 2 WD drives: one 500GB for home use/backup and one 160GB for on the road.

Both are simple to use and reliable; I would recommend WD to you if you are looking for a straightforward Windows or Mac storage device.

Incidentally, don't bother with the free/bundled software tools; they offer very little benefit or functionality.

Just plug in and go...

DVD Player case

Functional - BUT made of very cheap looking smooth black plastic. No wonder only the internal view is being shown in the Amazon photographs. Disappointing appearance. However, as it WAS cheap, maybe I shouldn't have expected a better looking bag.
On the other hand, it was delivered very quickly and has arrived before the DVD player I ordered at the same time from Amazon.

Compatibility

Got it as it was recommended on amazon as a perfect partner for Sanyo Xacti VPC700 hd and it wouldn't work!

Very disappointing

After the good reviews I read about this product, I was very disappointed that the first charger I received didn't work, and then the replacement didn't work either! Don't know if I was just unlucky, or the product is hopeless.

Perfection has arrived!

These Verbatim DVDs are the only brand I will buy, they record on my Sony RDR-HXD910 (Also highly recommended) on time and every time, why look elsewhere when perfection has arrived?

Durability

5 stars for durability! I recommend these phones to all of you who are accident prone and a little rough with stuff. I dropped them (accidentally) whilst crossing the road at a traffic light and only realised what had happend when I got to the other side of the road. I stood on the pavement and watched trucks, buses and cars drive over my earphones - I was gutted! I was sure that they were destroyed. But after rescuing them, I hooked them back to my ipod and the were still working! Although they look scuffled, the phones are in good working condition.

Charge your iPod on the move

I bought this charger to go with me when I travel as often no access to a computer. It charges a completly drained iPod in around 3 hours and then switches off so no risk of over-charging. So guaranteed music wherever I am in the world!
