Who needs tapes?

Have to agree with Caz, this device does exactly what it says on the tin. I was told to buy a voice recorder (for training purposes at work); I must admit that I was unaware that tape-less devices existed (luddite that I am) but this has proved to be a whole lot better than I had expected. It's so simple and so efficient. I didn't even need to use the instruction manual - but then, I'm a bloke. Wearing a suit it's easy to slip it into my breast pocket where it's just about unseen yet it can record the conversations that take place in reasonable quality - could be used to blackmail someone I should imagine but I haven't gotten around to that yet. And setting up the software on my PC was simplicity itself, enabling me to transfer the recorded meetings and then delete them completely from the hand-held device. Excellent value for money because the only thing you'll need in the future will be another pair of batteries (the first ones are included, by the way) and I get the feeling that with almost no moving parts battery life will be good. Feels like it will last forever.

Fuji Case

Insufficient space to accept camera straps comfortably. Would have thought that Fuji could have provided better design. Especially tight if you fit a lens filter. Would recommend that you look at other options.

Received delivery with in 5 days good . Plugged charger into mains, connected my MP4/MP3 player, switched on. BANG/FLASH now I have no PLAYER OR CHARGER thanks.

PX100 vs PX200

Just bought the PX200's from Amazon - very fast delivery as usual !
I've owned the superb PX100's for a couple of years and decided to try out the PX200's to keep any sound leakage from annoying the wife ! Bad mistake ! As others have said - totally lacking in bass unless you press them very hard to your ears !! Anyone who rates the PX200's highly should really listen to the PX100's - completely different sound quality ! I returned mine for a refund - again thank you Amazon.

Amazing speakers,very well designed and solid construction.

Sound great with electronic and classical music.

I recommend these speakers to those who like myself use there pc/lap as there main audio system who are confined to a small workspace.

Very good value for the money

I was very impressed with this item. I didn't expect much for that money but was pleasantly surprised. Good sound considering the size and cost and perfect for travel.

I've looked high and low, this is the best!

I really wanted an ipod case that was protective, portable, practical, and above all else, really neat and smart looking.
I hunted high and low in search of the perfect case, and i stumbled across this. It is cute and stylish, it's slim, and it still gives easy access to the ipod by simply flipping open the wallet-style case.
Quite simply, it's exactly what I wanted and I haven't seen anything even remotely as good.

Unluckily for me, I found it at an airport and brought it there, chuffed with my purchase and thinking I was getting a good deal. I now wish I'd had the patience to hang on and check amazon as I paid nearly £25 for mine in a duty free shop, whereas it would appear you can buy it right here, right now for about half that.

Seriously highly recommended.

brilliant !! excellent value and quick delviery

I really love this case. It is sooooo soft, and really protects the iPod. It makes accessing the buttons easy, as none are hidden away. For the price you pay, the quality is fantastic and comes with a free silicone cover.

Good tool, bad with batteries

Works perfectly, but really eats batteries. Best to use the in-car cable it comes with.

The in-car cable also has a USB slot in, probably to charge mp3 players with, but if you have a USB to USB cable you can use it to power the device from your pc.

Useless

I bought this because i wanted to digitise TV programs to watch on my iphone. It's currently sitting on my shelf, unused and useless.

1/ I have a webserver installed on my laptop. Amazingly, the software for this device wiped my webserver, and installed its own over it. This is inept, lazy, careless programming and has caused me a lot of problems. Sofware should NEVER do something like this without explicitly warning the user, but there was no warning whatsoever. I was just left wondering where my webserver went!

2/ The software that comes with the prodict, which supposedly should allow me to schedule recordings is unusable on my Dell Latitude D820 because for some unknown reason, the 2 buttons that kick the process off are cropped off in their window, meaning it's impossible for me to press them! More lazy, un-tested software!

3/ Finally, since I couldn't schedule a programme, I tried to record a programme live. Ths was a complete failure. Only a few minutes were recorded. It was a very strange experience, and I'm guessing that if I left the software running for a few hours after the programme had finished then it might have succeeded, but this would have been way too much hassle.

MP3 Transmitter

This is so cheap for what it gives you. It plugged into the cigarette lighter, I switched it on, tuned the LCD display to the main FM station and out burst my own sounds. I have a 80GB i-Pod and the wife has a 4GB Nano and they both work off the same device with no need to re-tune the radio.
Buy it - it's great, easy to use and good value.

A real bargain

This is the second time I've reviewed this product, the first was removed for reasons unknown so hopefully this draft will be acceptable - just bear in mind that the two scores are both mine and not from separate buyers.

The Linx has all the bells and whistles you'd expect from an HDMI cable these days - gold-plated connects, heavy shielding and silver soldered joints, although it does perhaps look slightly less refined than some others you can buy (a minor point, admittedly.) The cable is surrounded in a slightly less thick and less rigid braided PVC jacket than some others you can buy - whether that's got something to do with the thickness of the jacket itself or the internal components is hard to say. Whilst some people might think that this could pose a problem for the cable's long-term durability, it does make it much more flexible and easier to bend, a particularly good point if space behind your TV is limited. And in reality I don't think that the reduction in thickness would make much of a difference to the cable's strength or affect its shielding as it still feels very able to put up with abuse, whilst I haven't seen any obvious cross-talk from external sources.

Signal-wise, the Linx outputs a very good picture, if perhaps not quite as good as some other (admittedly quite expensive) HDMI cables I've seen. In the end the quality is down to the system it's used in as much as anything and for this price the reduction in quality really isn't anywhere near significant enough to make it an issue. I can't really comment on the sound as my TV's speakers aren't the best, however it seems at least as good as any SCART I've used.

I use the Linx for the occasions when I need to view a feed from my laptop on my LCD TV as the length and flexibility allow me to keep the laptop a safe distance from the screen. It's more than adequate for this use and I imagine that it'd be equally at home with a signal from a set-top box or DVD player. I would add that I'm not sure if it's HDMI 1.3 compliant but very few sources presently use the 1.3 standard so it looks to be a moot point for the moment at least. To sum up, this really is a steal and I seriously doubt that you'd find a better cable if you spent double or even triple the asking price.

The Best Earphones i have ever brought!!!!!

These Earphones Are so amazing, i love them. i have some headphones for £23 and these make a better sound than them, i use them on my ipod, and they are so much better that apples earphones. they are really good quality earphones. don't hesitate to buy these, just buy them, it will be worth it.

Great little case

This is a great little case for all Sony Camera owners out there. It's soft enough to protect your delicate camera and yet tough enough to protect it from the elements. It does exactly as it says really. I'm curruntly using it for my Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and have to say it protects it really well, doesn't leave any scratches or marks on the camera at all. It fastens with a velcro tab and has a small zipped compartment on the front for a spare battery or memory card. Overall, a great product and well worth the money. Much better value than other unofficial camera cases available. Plain, simple and good value for money.

Spot on

Bought this product in May 08 for connecting my 5th gen Ipod (Photo or Video - I'm not sure?) to my existing Hi Fi system. Having read mixed reviews on Amazon, was unsure whether it would meet my expectations, but pleasantly surprised on all fronts.

Everything you would expect came in the box i.e. the dock, the remote control, the power supply and the various adaptors for different devices. Some people seem to be complaining that they did not get the phono leads or connector to the PC. Since decent phono leads cost as much if not more than the dock, this was never going to happen.

The sound quality is at least as good as I would have expected and better then connecting via the headphone socket on the ipod. Again, I read one bizarre review that said you wouldn't use it for connecting to a Hi Fi. Since it doesn't come with speakers, what else would you use it for? Also, Ipods etc by their very nature are not supposed to be high end devices but more for convenience, so the sound quality is never going to be amazing.

Particularly impressed to note that not only do all features of the remote work but the dock and remote also both work when the dock is not plugged in.

All in all, impressed.

Looks good, feels good, protects your ipod. What more do you need? Oh, I know, a really low price. Buy one.

Broke down twice

Alright, i bought these headphones from an apple store, and after using them like for a month the sound in one of the headphones disappeared, so i got a new one from them as i had the warranty. But now, the new ones are not working properly either.
When they are working they are the best headphones i ever had, the sound is good, it gives good basses but they keep breaking.
Now, i need to go to apple store, again and get the new headphones!
