Useful cable but...

Useful for connecting my old camcorder to my AV500 and digitising all those old home movies. However have noticed the recordings made with this stutter occasionally - sound and/or picture. Have not seen this stuttering with the TV Pod so can only assume it's an issue with this cable, or possibly with running the AV500 on batteries alone?

Has anyone else had this same problem - not seen anything in the forums...

I must state that I do not own and have not used one of these!

However, I'm doing my research as I was certain on an Archos 705, and I did my research before committing.. I'm glad as the Cowon A3 was rated higher and seems better.
I saw on Cowons site that they had the new Q5.
This is where the problems start: public and review sites say that the A3 may be better!
This does not make it true, but its worth doing your homework before buying the Q5 - its more expensive than all the rest too!

Wow, so amazing!! but some little problems!! ONLY little

Well...
This product is the best that i have bought out of all my mp3 players!
This product is basically an ipod but in an mp3 player, but without games and maybe other few things!
I am gonna tell you the good points and then the bad points :D
Good points:
1. The quality of the sound is great!
2. The mp3 player isn't TOO big or TOO small
3. It has the scroll just like an ipod!!
4. The volume doesn't seem as loud at first at full volume, BUT you go on sttings then volume and go on high and instantly the sound goes extremely high i have 2 have it on half way or 3 quarters because it's so loud!!
5. it has a hold button at the top so if the buttons press by mistake then your safe!
6. it's very easy to use when ur listening 2 songs!
7. It's simple to turn of and on and the time and date is easy to change!

Bad Points:
1. The headphones provided arn't very good, but use your old ones or just buy some quality ones for £10 - £15
2. Transferring the songs is not as simple as you think!, but don't read this bit and say i'm not buying it because you should!. Anyway... the transferring songs means you have to do complitcated stuff, but if you read all the info then it's okay, you just have to concentrate then the first time you've done it it's pretty simple to keep doing it :D
3. It says 2GB but it's 1.75GB and it says ONLY 500 songs but you can buy another little memory stick thing 2 put in so u have more memory so it isn't that bad!
That's all the bad points really!

Although i only got this product today it has been very successful! BUT maybe in a couple of weeks or months something might happen but hopefully that won't happen!
I will come and change this review if anyting has happened but so far i would reccommend this and for the price it's good :D bye have fun if you buy this!

Ideal for the frequent traveller.

This is a wonderful piece of hardware and a great way to preserve your sanity if you're forced ( like me ) to spend large amounts of time sat in airport departure lounges.

The screen is crystal clear, the menu system is very easy to use and the whole thing just 'works'. I managed to watch two movies, a couple of episodes of The Sopranos and listened to a fair bit of music, all off the initial charge ( like anything that's powered by rechargeable batteries, you're best to leave it overnight to carry out it's initial charge ).

The only small niggle is that I have to convert DVDs to .avi files before I can then sync them onto the Creative. I'd have liked Creative to have written an app to make the whole thing seamless, but you can't have everything.

How much do I like this media player ? Well it was stolen a few days ago and I have no hesitation in replacing it, even at my own expense.

Firstly I want to stress that it does not come with an ac adapter; maybe that is not an issue to you but I wanted to use it in hospital so I had to spend an additional £30.

Some issues: It is quite large and chunky but despight this it is still very portable. Bizarly the screen is best viewed with your eyes looking down towards it but it is still clear and vibrant at 90%. The clicking sound it makes when the touch pad is pressed is anoying but easily switched off. At first picture viewing was slow and I experienced 1 graphical glitch but it gows much faster now for some reason. Sometimes when watching videos I accidently turn up the volume to painfully loud when my thumb touches the touch pad but I am solely to blame and the sensitivity can be reduced. When you switch the screen of whilst music playback continues it would be nice if you could still skip tracks and change the volume but I suppose that defeats the point of locked mode. Microsoft are to blame for this: doing my part for society until recently I had DRM (digital rights management) switched on but to my delight I discovered that WMP would not sync these tracks to the Vision:M even though I had the copyright to do so! Also some of my manualy added album covers would not transfer over even though I made sure they had the correct specifications recomended by various websites. Lastly as a JVC Everio user I have had some compatability problems with home videos but this isn't an issue with, hard drive hogging, AVIs and WMVs; and I think that normal MPEG2s are also unaffected but I am unsure.

What I like: I love the shade of blue light that the on switch and 'face buttons' emit I think it is the most beautiful artificial light I have ever seen! It has fantastic Windows support particularly in comparison to the iPod. In my experience when comparing both screens on the lowest brighness the Vision:M is far far superior to the Video iPod. The screen also looks very sharp and vibrant. The hard drive, although sometimes audible, is very quite and I am yet to fill it even though it contains +1800 photos, around 18 hours of video and 128 hours of audio! The support software is useful but I find it easier to transfer videos and music vir WMP. One of the best features is adding files and folders meerly by right clicking the selected items and highlighting"copy to Creative Zen Vision:M" and choosing either data or media. I find this particularly useful for transfering pictures as it also maintains the folder structure if you do so desire. The battery life is also impressive (around 4 hours of video and +12 of audio with the screen switched off) although recharging is painfully slow over USB so you may want to buy an ac adapter for home use anyway. Dispight my long list of complaints I think this is a fantastic product which I highly recommend and which is, by my experience, the best source of portable entertainment around; well for PC owners anyway :)
