The performance was adequate when it was new, but has dropped off badly to the point where I rarely use it. The main problem is the cassette; it sticks so that line has to be fed by turning the machine upside down and extending it manually. And the head keeps falling off. I have now lost part of it so can't use the machine even if I wanted to. Spares are almost impossible to buy. I have managed to find spools, but I need the whole casette unit and nobody seems to have any.
Stick to one of the commoner makes. My old Black and Decker lasted years and rarely faltered, and spares were never a problem.

Disappointing

Dont expect to to use it with ease, not for thin arms.
Also the pressure was a little disapointing for such a large machine.
Has two detegent tanks, but the dial is flimsy and proved to be un reliable. Breaking after six uses, not good for this price machine.
Also as read in other reviews some plastic parts broke off carrier, despite unit be never lifted or treated badly.
I take care of my items, but expect them to last.
This one didnt, I have now change my pressure washer.

As with other reviewers, I wanted to get away from the fuss and bother of petrol and cable, and have found this machine perfect for our smallish front and back lawns. Very easy to use and manoeuvre, it's almost done away with the need for a separate strimmer for round the edges and trees, and produces passable stripes which make it look as though I'm a keener gardener than I am.
All in all, thoroughly recommended - the best mower I've ever had, and I've had a few.

The best a (smallish) lawn can get?

Beware of scorpions!
I bought one of these in 2002. Within 8 months, I was on my second saw, under warranty. The mounting holding the blade in place is very weak, and gradually wears with the result that the blade points upwards instead of level and eventually the mounting breaks. The B & D agent said that they had had several returned with the same problem. I cant have used the saw more than a dozen times in the 5 years that I have had it, and at no time did I saw wood etc more than the thickness recommended. Now, the thing has broken again. Very disappointing for something bearing the B & D name, especially as I paid £69 for it, not £39!! So, unless they've changed the mounting, I wouldn't consider another one.30

A most useful hose.
Having used a conventional Hoselock reel hose which now leaked at every joint I decided to buy this hose which would involve fewer connections and presumably coil itself back. I have found it to be well made and it performs the task of watering the plants so much easier.Because it cannot entirely uncoil it can only reach 20 metres but that would be ample for many gardens. Also you need to let it recoil a few feet at a time so that it does not tangle but this only takes a few seconds.Finally ,it will not take very cold temperatures so must be put away for the winter.Overall I would not wish to return to a reeled hose unless I required the greater length.

Simply doesn't work
I have a 2003 Range Rover 4.4L and even though it's obviously a challenge to start a big engine I expected this unit to do the job. It didn't. Not even at the time when the battery had enough of a charge to power door locks, lights, even the air suspension.But it wasn't the car - it's the unit. I gave it to my friend who owns a VW Golf, but his disappointment was as big as mine when his battery was flat and this unit wouldn't start that either.

I have been buying Black & Decker products for too long. Their garden products are designed to last 2 to 3 years only. great tool
I have had my Isio since the early summer, it is the perfect tool for light trimming. Its so easy to use that i tend to cut my hedge weekly this also suits the Isio as its not as powerfull as my mains powered trimmer.only down side is the position of the on button that is a little uncomfortable when in use
would recommend for light trimming only
