Excellent little hobby tool

I can highly recommend the Dremmel for the hobbyist. It is precise and can cope with all the fidlly jobs that a normal drill can't. Please be wanred, it doen't drill holes to fit shelves etc. It is for the HOBYIST

Mighty mouse?

Okay - so this is the first sander I've ever owned, and when I purchased it at the end of July 2007, used it a lot! Unfortunately, the dust extractor just blows the dust further away, and although I tried to attach a vacuum hose to it (my vacuum's one of the first DC01 Dysons), the hose didn't fit, which was a shame because that would have allowed me to sand mobile items indoors.
I haven't got particularly small hands, but found that I had a struggle to grip this sander and had to use both hands.
However, it does a really good job, and is very powerful for such a small item.
Having sanded most things in sight during August, I managed to get RSI with overuse, so put the sander away for four months. When I went to use it again in early February 2008, it began to make very odd noises and sounded as if a part of it was loose.
Good news - it was still within its' guarantee period, and after contacting B&D, was given a fairly local authorised repairer - after being asked if I'd thrown it to the ground on purpose to break it !!
It's now ready for collection and I won't know until the next few days what the cause of the trouble was, but even though the price was very reasonable, I'd have expected it to last longer than it did before needing repair.
A powerful sander that I'd recommend, but hope that no other purchasers have to have theirs repaired so soon.

Powerful screwdriver, never-ending battery

This is the ideal cordless screwdriver, well designed, good hand grip, light, useful LED white light for darker work areas, powerful, with a good range of bits, and the battery lasts for ages. I've only charged it a few times each year, and do a fair bit of DIY! It also has a couple of drill bits (it doesn't have a normal drill chuck), just for quick usage, but don't buy it as a cordless drill, it's a cordless screwdriver. Highly recommended.

Great bit of kit.

I got this to replace my old B&D drill, which still works, but has a very expensive bit stuck in it that will cost almost as much to get removed than a new drill! So, boo and hiss to B&D and finally a chance to buy a drill to match all of the other Bosch toys that I own and love.

Initial impressions are good: Solid contruction, very useful features, plenty of extras, decent length cord and a nice carrying case for all of your booty. Typically German.

My first job was to drill a hole through the outside wall of my house, so I put a 1000 mm SDS Bit in the drill (the chuck has to be the best design ever - No key, no messing), set it to hammer and got going. While my B&D often struggled with heavy masonry work this thing took it in it's stride and I got the job done in a jiffy. It feels really solid to use and the torque seems pretty hefty, but it is equally controllable. You can really feel the hammer doing it's job.

For serious DIY'ers who want something a cut above the average drill this is great. Since it is SDS Plus, you can even use it for chiselling tiles off of the wall etc. Comes with a chisel bit and 3 good quality masonry bits - Nice touch.

Karcherkiller step forward

An excellent product,this 1400 watt baby Bosch was easily as powerful as the 1700 watt karcher it replaced.It feels well built (in Italy) and the 6kg weight means it does'nt topple over.It comes with 3 different heads.A standard fan-jet,which is adjustable from wide to pencil.a roto-head,which is a sort of rotating pencil and my favorite the flexi-jet, whereby water comes out at 45'degrees meaning you can clean conservatory roofs or under cars or just at a sort of chisel angle on patios (u can set the angle).This machine is more than powerful enough for normal car and garden cleaning and in reasonable time frames aswell.In no way gimmicky like the £30 chain store specials this is better than entry level.I bought this on spec hoping that Bosch would come good on their reputation.They did and im very happy with my purchase!

Better than the Rest

Very good Product.
I agree that the blades break off when you hit something, but many other products I have used have been a lot worse. The motor is very powerfull for such a light product.
Also can use the battery in my drill :)

Bosch Cordless Strimmer

Does a neat job, but a couple of issues:

1. No Safety switch (press button in and then another button to turn on), like most strimmers / garden tools I have used. Managed to strim my ankles which hurt a bit!

2. Blades don't last long and seem to be fairly expensive to replace( if you can find a stockist!).

Would I buy again? Not sure. You get good results, but above points spoil another wise good product.

Seriously bad, don't buy

I purchased one of these to sand down my stairs, particularly to handle the banister uprights. It's certainly powerful enough - if you're not careful it takes massive chunks out.

The main issue is a serious design flaw in that the sandpaper"belts" that you have to use are kept flat by a piece of foam stuck to the files bar. So as soon as you sand for more than a few seconds and/or put any pressure on this area the foam heats and falls off. You're then left with an uneven bar and the wheel at the end. I had 2 in the space of 1 day and both had same problem - on one the bar even bent as it couldn't handle the friction heat.

Hire a mikita or do it by hand.

Misleading description

We found the description given by Amazon was misleading. We expected to find a rotary car wash brush included in the price as your product description stated"A car wash brush is also included to agitate, stubborn traffic film from your vehicle or dirt from your home". The agitation seems to be only by human effort, I therefore find that your comment is misleading.
