Don't expect anything from Palm to last
This did exactly what I wanted from a PDA for two years. Then it developed what seems to be a common problem with the on-off button - it won't turn off.3

Review for Palm Z22 - Handheld PDA:
The earlier reviewer who complained about the unit dying should have known that the common cure for electronic failure is a reset.
The main advantage of this product is that it is a flash memory, so it remembers its contents even if batteries die. It performs all the main palm functions and the batteries last longer and is lighter than Windows based pdas.
The only issue I have with it is the faint high pitched alarm function. If you have hearing difficulties you are not going to be able to hear it.

Palm Centro Smartphone
I've had my phone for a few weeks and am delighted with it for a number of reasons. 1) My daughter has a monthly phone contract with free minutes within the network so I was able to use a 3 SIM (which I can change if she moves to another network)The Phone functionality is great (dial from contact details or voice dial - great sound quality 2) I listen to talking books on my Creative Vison M which was adding to the weight in my handbag - I now have 30 or so Audible books on my phone (using the 4GB micro SD card I purchased at the same time) 3) I have used PDAs in the past and like having my appointments and contact details to hand - I can now synch with outlook although it's a pity there isn't the option to synch email. I would have to do this via the phone which could be expensive. 4) Although there is no GPS the googlemaps functionality is great (no internet connection required for this; although I can surf with the phone) I can get an on-screen turn by turn description of the route (no audio). 5) I have a Nintendo DS which I often play suduko on - this is one of the free games. The camera quality is poor but I have more room in my handbag for my camera now.7
Review for Palm Zire 31:
Bad points are: only one thing that is the calulator is too slow i.e. it dosent respond quickly enough when inputting figures etc for some reason, and also the new Graffiti 2 system of handwriting recognition is slow to respond to your input, for some reason it does not immediately write what you write (if you follow me?)
All in all though I can thouroughly recommend this pda invest in a large sd card and you have mega mp3 capability that is so much better than carting a stand alone player round with you.

Excellent value so nearly perfect but??
Ive had mine for six months now and have been very impressed with it. Good points are : superb battery never needs charging its that good, mine even charges itself from the usb port if I leave it plugged in!! mp3 playback is great with decent headphones i.e Sony 20 quid plus jobbies!! volume is too low without them. Never hangs or crashes unlike some other Palms I had and heard about.Bad points are: only one thing that is the calulator is too slow i.e. it dosent respond quickly enough when inputting figures etc for some reason, and also the new Graffiti 2 system of handwriting recognition is slow to respond to your input, for some reason it does not immediately write what you write (if you follow me?)

Review for TomTom 1T90.010 Navigator 6 Software & Maps Of Western Europe On DVD:
Only two small bad points; You can't customize the warning sounds very easily, whenever I pass a speed camera I have to make do with some bizarre whistle sound and secondly, you can only install it on two products. If you buy a GPS phone for example, you have to send the original receipt for the phone to Tom Tom before they'll give you a third code, something that isn't made clear in their sales information
Apart from that, all good.

Review for Palm m515:
my only grip with this little marvel is with the card database, i have not found a way of searching all fields in all records, so unless i know the persons name (thats all you can search) i can not find a record with say 'engineer' in or search for a contact by phone partial number, but i am sure there is a program out there for me - isn't there?.

PALM M515 PDA
I migrated from the Psion 5mx to the Palm m515 and out of the box it impressed. i was doubtful about using the tap screen input after the psion keyboard, but it is surprisingly useable and being qwerty fast to adjust to. Get the fold out keyboard as for documents those who type at a fast rate its worth while but you need a flat surface. The hard case to keep it pretty, must if you do not want scratches.my only grip with this little marvel is with the card database, i have not found a way of searching all fields in all records, so unless i know the persons name (thats all you can search) i can not find a record with say 'engineer' in or search for a contact by phone partial number, but i am sure there is a program out there for me - isn't there?.

Follow the Support link on the Palm site
This morning I thought that my Palm had died - the alarm that I'd set last night didn't go off and I couldn't power it on. In desperation I went to the Support section on the Palm website. There I found a problem diagnosis guide, I followed the steps, clicking 'No' when I still had the problem, after a few steps it was suggested that I do a Soft Reset and this worked. Hurrah, my faith in Palm is restored!17
Review for Palm m130:
I also had the chance to use a friends Mobile phone with infrared, this was also a very easy task to achieve, I only had one failure and that was due to the fact I couldnt be bothered reading the manual, which is quite hefty and well laid out I should add.
Once connected I could connect to my email and send email...how very pleasantly quaint an idea, so instead of being stuck in front of a TFT monitor and P4, I now use the PDA... Thats how good this PDA is.
Its ease of use and many functions are more than enough for the newbies and expanding the m130 is easier still, simply dropin a 64Meg or 128meg card and away you go.
You can even watch mini movies, ideal for sharing babies first steps to everyone on the Bus or Train. Office use is also easy, simply take it to work and add all your appointments or is I do Plan my Holidays and time off with it, working permanent Night Shift and funny rota's, I can plan my Hols to perfection now, without having to wait for Outlook to open (and freeze..)
E-Books, Excel, Word and all other need to hand applications are there on your m130, maybe not as clean and crisp as the Ipaqs, but who cares, for the price, You cannot complain. If you need to get organised and are on a tight budget, Buy the m130 and you will never have to miss an appointment again...unless the trains are running late or you miss your stop(not paying attention to your stations or announcemnets as you are too busy with your handheld)
I would have given this a 5 star rating, but I am still playing around with it and using fast machines does tend to spoil your outlook on anything less.
Excellent buy nd Glad I did!!

New to PDA's, then this is the one!
Having looked at the growth in popularity in PDA's, I decided that I should really look into buying one. So I did. The m130 has dozens of 'comes as standard' features and didn't dissapoint. Being new to PDA's and having tryed others, I was a bit sceptical about it. Once I had installed the software and charged the little monster up, I was up and running in 10 mins having installed most if not all of the applications.I also had the chance to use a friends Mobile phone with infrared, this was also a very easy task to achieve, I only had one failure and that was due to the fact I couldnt be bothered reading the manual, which is quite hefty and well laid out I should add.

Review for Palm TX Handheld PDA Ultimate Edition with enhanced WiFi software CD:
A nice new palm with a few little difficulties
I bought this to replace an ageing Palm IIIxe and am well pleased with it. The wi-fi doesn't work as well as I'd like but I don't need it so its not much of an issue. The other main problem is the screen cover: the leather flap supplied with mine is ok but it doesn't offer as much protection as I'd like. The screen is bright and clear, the sockets on the bottom a little fiddley but they work well enough, Grafitti 2 is different from the original but it didn't take me long to adapt and a lot of it is similar enough that no substantial adaptation is needed. The battery lasts me well and doesn't need topping up very often and the included software has done most everything I've needed thus far. Oh, the included audio player doesn't do WMA files, that costs extra!20
Review for Palm Treo 680 - Crimson (Touchscreen, MP3, Word, Excel Powerpoint, Bluetooth, Vga Camera, Video):
And WOW!, what a treat the Palm Treo is! The full keyboard, which looks like it might be fiddly, is actually quite easy to use. The colour screen is absolutely gorgeous, and being able to personalise the Treo with the use of colours and pictures is a nice touch. While it is bigger than my old Nokia phone, it's much smaller than my Palm 3, and you can do so much more with it.
And therein lies my one real gripe with this: despite the host of things that you can do with this genius bit of kit, the manual only barely touches on them. I have had to download a far more detailed manual from the internet, in order to help me get to grips with this it. Having said that, the programmes are quite easy to use, and it's easy enough to work your way around them.
I understand from reviews of the standard Graphite version that there are issues with battery life. I have to say that this doesn't seem to be relevant to the Crimson version, as it was released several months after the Graphite, and this is one problem that appears to have been ironed out (my boyfriend bought a Graphite at the same time as I bought my Crimson, and the difference in how they hold their respective charges is really quite astonishing).
Finally, since you're looking at this review and not the one for the Graphite, I should mention that the colour really is quite lovely - a proper crimson - and that it's also on the back of the Treo, something that PDA/mobi manufacturers sometimes miss out on in order to keep costs down (presumeably). The Treo is all the better for having the colour wrapped all the way around.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone looking to upgrade their PDA, especially with a view to moving from another make to Palm: as with Nokia, there are plenty of reasons as to why this make is a brand leader; others simply don't do the same jobs as well.
(N.B. Much to my astonishment, I have been able to transfer the data from my Palm 3 to my Treo, thanks to the avalability of software on the internet)

Review for Palm Treo 680 - Crimson (Touchscreen, MP3, Word, Excel Powerpoint, Bluetooth, Vga Camera, Video):
The Scarlet Palmpernel
I upgraded from my Palm 3 in July 2007, after nearly nine years of heavy use. There was nothing wrong with my Palm 3 as such, despite its decreptitude; it was just that technology has moved on an awful lot in that time and I decided to treat myself. And WOW!, what a treat the Palm Treo is! The full keyboard, which looks like it might be fiddly, is actually quite easy to use. Disappointing response from Palm Tech Support
I love my Treo 680, but recently my phone carrier, Orange, ceased support for it, which means that although I can make phone calls, I can't use the web or e-mail. I've been doing some online research but haven't yet found a carrier which specifically mentions the Treo 680, so I e-mailed Palm Tech Support, explained my problem, and asked if they could let me know which carriers do (or don't) support the 680. Their response? "Just find out for yourself." (True quote!) So although I would have given the Treo 5 stars, I'm going to have to deduct one for Palm's really strange idea of what constitutes customer service.
