Review for Palm Treo 680 Sim-Free Smartphone:
I now have downloaded Google Maps (log on to Google website via the Treo, tap the link, maybe a minute or so to do) and the clarity/cleverness/speed of this free programme on the Treo is quite remarkable - see eg the way a Google maps search result (nearby restaurant) can be clicked straight into Treo Contacts. There are countless other neat touches in the way the device works, but for this reason one does have to invest some time in playing with it to work them all out.
The battery ebbs away steadily over the day, but as I have bought a cheap car charger I'll be fine.
Basically, a stunningly simple and resourceful smartphone. I am delighted.
Update: One awkwardness is that items sent direct from the Treo email area via Gmail do not appear in either my Gmail account or in the PC Outlook Sent box. Odd. Not clear to me whether this is a glitch or a failure to get my settings right somewhere. The investigation continues.

Review for Palm Treo 680 Sim-Free Smartphone:
Excellent so far
I bought my new Palm Treo 680 ten days ago and was much impressed by how speedily and simply it got started when I inserted my Tesco payg SIM card. When I upgraded to an O2 card with web access and tapped in my Gmail coordinates, the Palm downloaded 47 emails faster than I would have thought possible (ie less than a minute). It also linked to the Internet really quickly with one tap on the Web icon.I now have downloaded Google Maps (log on to Google website via the Treo, tap the link, maybe a minute or so to do) and the clarity/cleverness/speed of this free programme on the Treo is quite remarkable - see eg the way a Google maps search result (nearby restaurant) can be clicked straight into Treo Contacts. Does not work with Vision:M
Bought this in order to charge my Creative Zen Vision:M when away from the computer but sadly it doesn't for some reason. Not sure what the problem is but I left it plugged in over night and it had not charged at all, even though the icon signifying it was charging was showing. Seems to work with most other MP3's judging by other reviews, but if you're buying it for a Vision:M, be wary.4

Review for HP iPAQ 114 Pocket PC:
Probably the best iPaq yet ...
I have now had this device for a couple of weeks. I have previously owned several Pocket PCs, including a few earlier versions of the iPaq. Of the ones I have tried, this is almost certainly the best. Having WiFi, Bluetooth, SDHC support (previous versions didn't support the new higher capacity cards that this one does - I have an 8Gb SD card in mine), a standard USB connection (previous iPaqs I owned use a proprietary USB connector) a relatively fast processor, the latest version of Windows Mobile (including useful new features such as SD card data encryption) all whilst retaining a relatively small form factor is a strong combination. Whilst many will opt for a Pocket PC phone (as my last Windows Mobile device was), having a seperate PDA from your phone has advantages for some e.g. if you are obliged to use a particular mobile phone for work (as I am) then you don't need phone features on your PDA. With this device I can keep all of my personal contacts seperate from the business contacts on my phone and use bluetooth to get my phone (a Blackberry Pearl) to dial any number I select on my iPaq Classic. Add in a high capacity SD card and this device doubles up as a reasonably competent media player. It has a standard headphone socket (no headphones supplied) or you can use the built in speaker. Web browsing over wi-fi works as well as any device I have seen of this size. It also comes with a rather nice slip case. Overall, not a stunning leap forward compared to previous iPaqs but its hard to find fault with it.5

Great business phone
Ok if you want this as a personal phone and get around 2 emails a week it really is not much use as it does not have all the special features that you would find on a Nokia N95 say. I wonder why you would buy it if you dont intend to use its business attributes??As a business phone it is superb, its sleek, attractive easy to use and really does compliments my work as I am constantly on the move.
So all in all its a great phone!!

Review for TeckNet A706 Bluetooth 2.6" Touch Screen PDA Mobile Phone With 2.0 MCamera, and MP3 / MP4 Player - Black:
I got this phone wanting to replace my sony ericsson, when it was delievered, which was very fast delievery, holding it seemed very plasticy. I turned it on and the welcome message blaired out at me and as I was looking through the phone there was no way i could keep photos or hold my sim contacts as the bluetooth wasnt working properly. I also had no help from the instructions as they come in disc form, but the disc wasnt working. Looking through the phone it looked very cheap and naff and I was very dissappointed. I did send it back and they gave me very good customer service which I was pleased with and although they said 15% of the discount I got full money back and I had deleted some of the original files off the phone.
I would not recommend you to get this phone if you havent seen it before you buy it. Very good customer service but the phone is cheap.

Review for Palm Bluetooth Keyboard, QWERTY:
Great Keyboard
I bought this keyboard to use with my Palm TX. It was quick and easy to set up and works really well. The previous reviewer found the space bar a bit fiddly: I have not found this to be a problem. Using the keyboard solves all the niggling problems of the TX touchscreen. Indeed, as the previous reviewer found, this keyboard just about allows the TX to replace your laptop.12

Review for Palm Treo 750 Smartphone:
1. Battery Life: 1 and a half batteries a day. I use this phone for work and there is no way you can get through a full day with one battery, so you will have to have 2.
2. It takes too long to connect a call, when someone rings, it takes 4 rings at their end before it rings the phone before (we've tested), so people that don't know your phone does this often disconnect, with the blue tooth you can add another ring.
3. I use the Bluetooth in the car (audi)to connect to the handsfree, I have had to turn it off as the phone continually connects and disconnect. With a colleagues Nokia, it stays connected.
4. Had the Treo 650 with Palm OS before and it never crashed, the 750 falls over the moment you start to work at any speed or multitask it.
The usability of the Treo is very good, the whole thing can be operated with your thumb. I am a treo believer, I had the 650 (Which was brilliant), but had to swap as work needed me to have Windows. The new 750 isn't a patch on the 650.
What really bites is that Palm give you 1 call to Technical support if you need help, after that you are paying for technical support, which is ridiculous. If I am asking 'How to use it' well that's fair, but to charge me to tell them it doesn't work is disgusting.
So I love Treo, but this isn't as good as it could and should be.

It's OK-Good, but far from great
In essence this is a good product it does all the things it says on the box, but there is a but:1. Battery Life: 1 and a half batteries a day. I use this phone for work and there is no way you can get through a full day with one battery, so you will have to have 2.

Review for Philips ID9372B/05 XD Sound Cordless Phone - Twin With Answer Machine:
But the worst part is the reliability. Dropped calls, phones 'rebooting' in mid conversation and most frustrating of all, caller unable to hear me when I could hear them.
In the past I have always found Philips kit to be reliable...I just hope they had a duff batch for their sake.

Poor build Quality
Have had two setts of these phones and both proved to be less than reliable. The design looks great but isn't that easy to use. The tinkling sound made every time you put the handset back on the charger is very annoying. And the message waiting light isn't very bright or prominent enough. But the worst part is the reliability. Dropped calls, phones 'rebooting' in mid conversation and most frustrating of all, caller unable to hear me when I could hear them.

Review for HTC Touch P3450 Pocket PC Phone:
There are also simple but significant errors that HTC has overlooked, including the previously mentioned problem in which one's ear during a call will open programs and maybe even end the call unless the user hits the off button before putting the phone to the ear. This never, ever happens with the iPhone because it switches off the screen during a call when it detects the screen is near one's head, via an IR sensor. And then there's text input. With the HTC touch it's not fun and it's completely unintuitive. There's a tiny keyboard that you need to use the stylus with which makes typing painfully slow in comparison with the iPhone, with which I can type at near full-size keyboard speeds comfortably and easily. You can use the stylus to write with the handwriting recognition feature, but this can still feel painfully slow if you're like me and type three or four times faster than you can physically write.
Really, if you're considering this phone, I'd say you should go to an O2 or Apple store and try out the iPhone for yourself. Then, go to a store where you can get a hands-on demo of the HTC touch. Trust me, the HTC will feel sluggish and in-elegant in comparison.

Review for HTC Touch P3450 Pocket PC Phone:
iPhone rival? I think not.
Granted, the HTC Touch is satisfactory by the standards normal human beings lived by before the iPhone was announced. And yes, it is a good competitor to other Windows Mobile devices. But is it at all well executed by our newly iPhone-defined standards for touch devices? Well, in two words, no way. HTC seems to think that this phone has a chance of taking on the iPhone. But the simple truth is that the iPhone is in its own league. The HTC touch lacks the simplicity, ease of use, and style that the iPhone exhibits, and the Windows Mobile interface really is useless without a stylus. Sure, the TouchFlo is a nice touch, but as soon as you've selected a feature from the TouchFlo screen, you're thrown right back into Windows Mobile where you can really only use a stylus. Bought this item in conjunction with the car charger they also make. Both have worked fine. It got warm as you would expect but did not over heat.
I charged a Samsung T10 mp3 player from near empty and encountered no problems even after the device had reached full charge.
It's made of fairly good plastic too.
