An excellent, easy to use campact printer
I am buying this for a friend. I already own one.I bought mine for my daughter who loves it as she has difficulty with all the set up instructions on her computer. One thing, I couldnt find anywhere in the instructions that you could use a flash drive in the usb port. However I tried it and it works! This means you can crop etc on your computer and then transfer selected images onto your flash drive. This also saves having to trawl through all the pictures on your memory card!I did check on the Hp website and it does say there, it is compatible with flash drives using the usb port on the front.Using the correct paper and ink cartridges ( reccommmended) It is not the cheapest way to print photos But if you are selective about what you print, the results are excellent and extremly satisfying

Review for Lexmark Z735 Easy Colour Printer:
This printer copes admirably with that and up to now I have had nothing more serious than a paper jam (easily cleared). The only drawback with being a casual user is that sometimes the printer heads `dry up' causing poor quality print outs, but I have not experienced any of this up to now, although the old Epson was very prone to this problem. The cartridges are reasonable and there is only one to purchase. Yes I know we would all like them to be cheaper, but this is more moderately priced than many.
I think this printer is adequate for most people's use. If you want one with all the bells and whistles (copier, scanner, fax etc.) be prepared to pay a lot more money, but I doubt the print quality will increase with the price.

Excellent, Economical Printer
I recently had to send my old Epson printer to the rubbish tip and replaced it with this printer and I have been very happy with it. All of the technical specifications are shown on this page, so do not need to be repeated by me. Suffice to say that with printers more than any other peripherals you get what you pay for. At home I am a casual user of the printer, mostly black and white e-mails etc. with the occasional graphic or photograph. This printer copes admirably with that and up to now I have had nothing more serious than a paper jam (easily cleared). Ink Thirsty
I have no problems with the price or quality on this machine but I find myself actively avoiding using it because it cost too much to keep the machine in ink. I cannot remember the last time that a print job was sent without me having to acknowledge the annoying pop-up window telling me that one or more of the ink cartridges are low or out of ink. Previous inkjet printers I have owned have owned have never consumed so much.27

Review for Canon SmartBase MP390 Photo Multi Function Device (Print/Fax/Copy/Scan):
Beware of this sexy looking but useless bit of kit
From the time I got the MP390 it has copied/printed so wet that if there is much solid colour/black on the page it comes out like a wet dishcloth. Canon helpdesk say this is normal. I get round the problem by using a (reliable) HP printer for printing and using the MP390 only for the occassional copying, when I have to manually (it cannot be done from the PC) select the lowest density. However after a few seconds the density reverts to default (ie soaking) just to catch you out - and there is no facility for adjusting the default. The result is hugely expensive (about £1 per sheet/10-15 sheets per black cartridge)and often unuseable copies. I shall be steering well clear of Canon in future.28

Review for Canon Pixma MP170 Direct Photo Printer All in One:
Excellent printer
I was mainly looking for a scanner and photo copier as I already had a colour printer but decided to go for the 3 in one option as my original printer is a few years old. I never thought of Canon as a make as most 'off the cuff' reviews you hear about are for Lexmark or HP or Epsom but having read several reviews decided to go for it. If you want value for money this is it, forget about all the technical stuff - pages per minute and DPI's - if you want a 3 in 1 printer thats easy to use, easy to set up and is compact than this is it. You get a photo print program with it which is very basic but a doddle for quick quality printing and likewise a scan program which is designed for the layman. As for the print quality its fine. I know your not going to get fantastic quality for this money but for our use its great - if I want top quality photo prints I still go to Boots. My only critism if you want to be picky is that it is a little noisy and clunky when feeding the paper through. All in all an excellent printer.35

Great when working but recurring problem with print head
I have been very pleased with the ease at which this printer produces photographs, copies and prints direct from applications such as Word or Excel. However from time to time it shows an error - incorrect print head. When this happens, I have to remove the print head and then put it straight back. It then works for another 10 days or so. If it were not for this problem, I would give it 5 stars. I don't know if this is a unique problem.36
Review for Canon CP220 Compact Dye - Sublimation Photo Printer:
Excellent results every time, good connectivity, portability and style.
Maybe a little expensive to run compared to high street printing, but there is little to compare to excitedly watching your precious memories appear before your very eyes!
A superb machine.

Review for HP Photosmart Printer Portable Photo Studio [HP Photosmart M415 Digital Camera 5MP, 3x Optical Zoom and HP Photosmart 422 Printer]:
I got all that i required with this camera and much, much more with the added bonus of the printer, which even a two year old could operate as it’s so easy. (You literally just dock the camera into the printer and press print from either the unit or with your remote from your armchair!) The camera takes, and the printer prints, the most vibrantly coloured photo’s i have ever seen (both indoors and out) Every single one of my friends whom i have shown these photo’s to has been impressed not only at the clarity (that’s only on the default 3MP setting) of the pictures but also with the vibrant colours, they really stand out.
I would definitely, definitely recommend it.
If there was a downside to this camera, I would say that the viewing screen could do with being a bit bigger (I have seen better clearer ones on other camera’s) and also it cost me a fortune in printing my photos. Not that it is anymore expensive than any other printer’s pictures to print, it’s just that as they are so fantastic I keep printing copies for everyone! Why say it when you can show it!
A poor but very happy HP Photosmart M415 Digital Camera 5MP, 3x Optical Zoom and HP Photosmart 422 Printer user. Happy Snapping!

Fantastic camera and printer
I had been looking around for a digital camera for a couple of years before i finally settled on the M415 Digital camera and printer package. I wanted certain requirements out of my camera, including great pictures, video (with audio) a decent optical and digital zoom, and more importantly being easy to use at an affordable price.I got all that i required with this camera and much, much more with the added bonus of the printer, which even a two year old could operate as it’s so easy. Review for HP PhotoSmart 7660:
at last one lives up to its title
Having recently had to return another well known branded printer which ate more paper than in actually printed I turned to HP for no other reason than my computer is an HP and my wife wanted the facility to simply plug in the digital media(xD) from our camera(Olympus 300 mju) and get out a 6x4 photo of reasonable quality with little fuss. What we got were excellent pictures without any fuss. Borderless prints of superb quality within minutes of opening the box. The photo quality at that size is even very good using the black cartridge with the tricolour one rather than the photo and tricolour mix recommended. The instructions and software are simple to follow( just as well). Its early days yet so I am unable to comment on the economics of running it but its just such a joy to buy something which does what it says it does, cost per print seems a little too churlish at the minute to consider. Not the cheapest to buy but worth it.40

short term product
I agree with previous reviews on this regarding the paper feed, which has now packed up completely. Has never worked well and in the beginning thought it was the way I was loading the paper. Have since bought an epsom printer - much more sturdy and reliable.
