Review for Canon Black ink tank (twin pack) BCI24BKTWIN:
Except, they have limited functionality, too small and too expensive for the lifetime that you get out of the product. Once you have bought the printer you have no option but to buy these carts. You don't get many printed pages out of these (or the complementary colour) carts.
5 stars for product quality. 0 stars because I have to regularly purchase a low lifetime product to use in my printer.

Does the job
Excellent! Waits silently until I want printouts, then 0sec wakeup time and straight into action! Word to the wise, if you want to print card then set the paper type to card because this changes temperatures, print speeds etc - and of course it won't print card both sides because the corners are too tight (but you can use FinePrint to do this). Absolutely brilliant printer for almost no money!44

Top Scanner
Very impressed indeed with this item. I bought the Plustek Opticfilm 7200i scanner at first but the software was so unstable i couldnt run it on Vista. then i saved a bit more money and got this baby and i'm so glad i did. the quality is brilliant. professional mode gives you all the control you could want and the silverfast software has some great features too. you can scan 35mm, medium format, large format and its great for my panoramic swing lens camera too. Also scanning a whole film at high quality is a dream on this compared to the Plustek. i can leave this working away for hours (24 frames on very high settings) and be sure its fine, where as the other one could crash and burn after seconds.very pleased and would certainly recommend this if you can afford to pay out a little more.

Review for Dymo Labelwriter 400:
My main gripe, which is why I'm writing this review, is to warn people to make sure that this machine is compatible with Vista. Mine is not, I found that out after I bought a new office computer. I wrote to Dymo who said, sorry, you can't use it with Vista, goodbye. I now have a Dymo Label Writer that cannot be used and Dymo don't care a jot.
Do your home work before buying this printer. I will not be buying from Dymo again, some customer service they've got.

Dymo are not always compatible with Vista
I own a Dymo label writer 320, I found it to be okay, it would occasionally stop working and you'd have to unplug it and faff about to start it up again losing umpteen expensive labels into the process. The software loaded after some encouragement, it's okay, but has a tendency to list your addresses American style with the last name first. It becomes tedious to keep changing the names around. My main gripe, which is why I'm writing this review, is to warn people to make sure that this machine is compatible with Vista. Review for Epson PictureMate 260 Easy To Use Personal Photo Printer:
I've not had one of these little photo printers before, and have spent plenty of time wrestling with full size printers trying to get them to print photos the way I want. I'm very pleased with how easy things are on the PictureMate. Very quick to set up, and quick and clean to load the ink cartridge. The printer just accepts images from memory cards, computer, or camera without any fuss - it would be hard to go wrong. The photos were very good quality 'straight from the box' but it pays to also have a look at the menu options listed in the printed manual. You can make your photos a bit sharper or the colour a bit stronger etc. if you want. It comes with a reasonable amount of paper and ink to start you off. Subsequently you buy the paper and ink cartridge as a pack and each photo will cost about 20p.
There is no cable supplied to connect the printer to a computer and, of course, you are limited to 6 x 4in prints. That said, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would happily make the same choice again. Should have bought one ages ago!

Review for Edimax PS-1206MFG 1 Port USB Wireless print server for All-in-1 Multifunctional Priner:
I followed the clear, step by step instructions to the letter and the installation was a breeze. My Canon iP4500 is now being shared by 2 laptops and a PC, 2 running Windows XP and 1 Vista.
The only minor problem I encountered was a conflict with my firewall, Zone Alarm, which was easily solved by uninstalling and reinstalling Zone Alarm.

Review for Lexmark Wireless Inkjet Printer, 4 By 4 Photo Printing, 24PPM Mono, 18PPM Colour:
FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY
Having just bought a wireless laptop I decided it would be useful for me to be able to print general letters etc on a printer which would not take much room and be able to print wirelessly at a cheap price. The instructions were extremely easy to understand and the printer was installed in about 10 mins from opening the box. It looks a bit cheap and tinny but for the price I paid, I think it is incredible value for money and it is extremely fast. Money well spent54

Review for Pure One DAB/FM Portable Radio - Pink:
Sound quality is good, as is build quality.
Get a chargepak (you need the C6x, the standard one won't fit) - a set of batteries costs £7.50, so it will very soon pay for itself.
My big gripe is with the ergonomics, which I think are poor.
The twenty presets are not really presets at all, as you can't just press one button and go straight to the station you want. Really what the Pure One offers is a favourite stations list and no presets. To find your station, you have to look at the display, scroll through the list until you find the one you want, and then press the select knob. NOT a quick process! The list doesn't even position itself relative to the station you're on - it always starts at position 1. So for example, if you are using preset 9 and want to go to preset 10, you have to scroll though nine stations to get to preset 10.
The daft thing is, this radio has seven buttons that could have been used for proper one-touch presets, and they have been used for other, less frequently used functions, such as the timer (which I never use), and these buttons are not even in any logical order! Get a grip, Pure, and think about how your radios will actually be used!
This is a very good piece of kit, spoiled by a badly designed and irritating user interface.

Review for Epson Perfection V750 Pro - Flatbed scanner - 216 x 297 mm - 6400 dpi x 9600 dpi - Firewire / Hi-Speed USB:
What you need to know.
It comes bundled with Monaco EZColor to control colour, using ICC profiles. You calibrate your system using the targets (film and paper artwork.) You get to calibrate your scanner, monitor and printer. It's quick, easy and produces consistant colour.
It comes bundled with LaserSoft Silverfast Ai. Takes a little learning due to German English, but it's very good once you get used to it. The autopilot settings produce good results straight away. Remember to get the free upgrade from Silverfast, after you have registered the copy that comes with your scanner.
It does not come with the Fluid Mount Accessory (FMA). You have to send your invoice off to Epson (email a PDF) for them to send you the FMA. If you want the very best scans this unit can produce you need to use the FMA. Especially if you have a slides and negs that are dirty, scratched or grainy. The difference after using scanner fluid is amazing. (Look up Haynes Graphic Arts Ltd and ask about the V750 (FMA) starter kit.
The Epson scan software is not bad either, many will find this sufficient to get good scans without taxing the brain cells.
This unit is so good you will be able to get perfectly acceptable 16x20 prints from those old Ektachrome / Kodachrome slides with a little care.
You will be save countless hours in Photoshop by using Digital ICE to clean up your scans.
It has a IR sensor and can be used in multiple scan / pass to render a greater dynamic range (using Silverfast.)
You can pay £[...] for a 2nd hand Nikon film scanner, that will only do 35mm film. You can pay £[...] for a new Nikon scanner that does only 35 and 120 film. The scans you get from the V750 are of similiar quality, but when you get to 120 there is not £[...] worth of difference.
I reckon this is the only scanner you need to convert your film stock to digital. It might even convert you to digitised medium format film workflow. No digital camera will hold a candle to a medium format slide / neg that is scanned using this unit. Plus, no mucking about in the darkroom.
I'm impressed, you will be if your looking for a good scanner that is good at all it sets out to do.

Review for HP Photosmart D7360:
great prints - not great feed.
This printer can produce excellent colour prints - with a bit of judicious setting-up, but, and it's a big but - if you want your A4 240g/m2 paper to emerge every time I would forget it. Photo paper feed, especially erring on the heavy side (240 incidentally should be well within this printers' capabilities) is - well let's just say the chances are slim that you'll ever see your print. Now the inherent snag with this type of paper feed is that you can't tell if the paper is jamming until waiting for a couple of minutes (or for hell to freeze over) to find that your paper is still wound around the back rollers (after removing the backplate) or not gone in at all. These are not great traits for a fairly expensive printer. Not to mention the massive loss of ink printing all over the rollers!! Ordinary A4? No problem at all. It's a shame because on the rare occasions the paper does emerge the results are very good. Sorry but it's a daft printer with great potential if only HP could sort out basic problems - i.e. getting the feed to work properly with heavy-ish photo paper. And yes - you should be able to use other makes other than HP papers - obviously. Maybe not so smart!! One to avoid58
Review for JVC HA-FX66-B - 'Air Cushion' In Ear Headphones - Black:
I have a lot of trouble finding earphones to fit my small ears. These came with a variety of different sizes, and even a set of foam-type buds which could be moulded to fit your ear. They are easy to fit onto the earphone, and they stay in your ears fantastically. It takes a good firm tug to dislodge it.
It also came with a small carrying case to store the buds in and to prevent the wires getting tangled, which is handy.
The sound is great. Maybe not as good as you may get for a more expensive pair, but still pretty great.
A great buy. Your defintly getting your money's worth.

Review for Canon SELPHY ES1 Compact Photo Printer:
Some streaks
I love Canon products, so I was expecting flawless prints form this. For pictures that are rich in colour, it is astoundingly good. I'm looking now at a print of some red flowers against green leaves with blue sky in the background. Vivid and realistic do not begin to describe it. However, in a couple of prints I have made that have black or very dark areas, there is deep red streaking across those areas. In a shot of houses and trees silhouetted against a purplish sunset, you can see the streaks in the silhouette. Only visible at an angle, but it is there. In that picture and in another which has no dark areas there are also some mysterious red lines at the bottom of the print. They look like someone has just caught the edge of the paper with the tips of a few brush bristles. A charitable guess might be that these issues are specific to the trial pack of paper that came with the printer. In any event, neither of these problems deeply upsets me and for the vast majority of my snapshots, this printer is very good. But, these are definitely not lab quality prints. Consumer electronics quality, certainly.I have no need for it, but if you have hopes of using this with bluetooth (Bluetooth gizmo sold separately), you cannot print via Bluetooth from a computer. Also, you will need to provide your own USB cable, since the printer does not come with one. Excellent prints
This is a great compact printer giving excellent results. I went for this as I didn’t want a scanner, printer, fax, copier all half good, but I wanted real quality pictures in a simple small unit, and the Canon delivers.
