Alright, at first at least

The first installment was good because it was new, soething different, and it was good to have the feeling of playing online without all the costs of playing online rpgs.
However, the game is very repetitive, something which folows in the sequel, and it is split into four installments when it could easily have been done in one go.
The dungeons are made up of pre defined pieces like a lego set or something, alomost every dungeon looks the same as there is little variety in the graphical aspec of them.
Voice acting is poor, but you do get the option of having the japanese voiceovers which is a plus.

Another winner from the Ape Esacape team!

I love this game! Its's yet another great title in the best-selling Ape Escape series from Sony. You can morph into different personas this time, such as WildWest Kid or Gotcha Man.
There are over 400 different monkeys to catch and many levels that all parodyfamous movies-particularly impressive is the Tip-Top Gun level,a parody of Top Gun,in which you jump over the wings of planes, trying to catch those pesky monkeys!
The game does smack of ploitical correctness in places-having a girl character and a female scientist is my point-and some of ther levels parody the first two games a bit much-even some of the music used in the game is from the first game, seven years ago!
Overall though, with Simian Cinema,Market Street and the excellent mini-game Mesal Gear Solid, this is one title that proves one thing-Ape Escape is a tried and trusted great game, that, quite literally,can so no wrong!Specter even has the same birthday as me, too-the 28th January!

What a waste of money!

I bought this game for about [...] in my local Gamestation. Figured I couldn't go wrong as I love Marvel Comics and it was cheap. Should be fun right? Wrong. I want my [...] back. Here is why...

Gameplay
You play through different episodes as a pre-determined Marvel Character. That is right you do not get to choose. Each character plays pretty much the same as well. Sure they each have different powers, but the format for what works never changes. It gets really old, really quickly. This is basically a 3rd person button masher.

Graphics
Horrible. Uninspired, dark and dingy.

Replayability
To be blunt you don't even want to play this game once. Definitely not twice.

So to sum up....It is rubbish. If you love Marvel characters and really want to play a superhero game. Get X-Men Legends 1 or 2. Failing that get an X-Box 360 & a copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Shooty shooty thingy

This is a perfect arcade gun-shooter, which also means its has short lived as it is polished. A typical on the rails shooter tha does it better then most of the other gun titles of its type. The graphics are great, the characters are delightfully created, but its so short you will feel short changed unless you bought it for next to nothing.

Bionicle : The Game

This is a good game but is a bit too easy. It follows the adventures of the six Toa playing as each one as the game continues. Your quest is to transform the Toa into th Toa Nuva (done by playing through the levels) and defeat the Makuta, master of shadows. You play as Tahu the Toa of fire, Lewa the Toa of air, Gali the Toa of water, Kopaka the Toa of ice, Pohatu the toa of stone and Onua the Toa of earth.The is also a Secret character,Takanuva: the Toa of light, the main character from the just released movie Bionicle:The Mask of Light. A free chronicler's staff comes with this game for the Lego toys. I would recomend you rent it to see if you like it first. This is not just for die-hard Bionicle fans.

Excellent Graphics Limited Life

The game is easy to get into once you realise this isn't another hurtle around at full whack and ignore the corners, braking counts for everything. The attention to detail is excellent, replays are so close to reality even down to camera shake as you go past. However only having five tracks does limit the life, after a month this will be but a distant memory that gets pulled out only in moments of ultimate tedium.

omega strain sucks!!

I bought this game for the ps2 the other day and it hasn't really taken my fancy. I think the problem is that they give you a time limit in each mission, which is something that I don't think they should do. I had such high hopes for it, but now I think Syphon Filter has taken a downhill toll. There's nothing else that I can say!!

Kick your ass

what can i say excellent. reminded me of the old game on the megadrive - just what i was lookin for. the moves list is endless and getting used to them is easy. Its a brilliant game for two playing as batman and nightwing and the bad guys just like the cartoon scarecrow, bane, clayface. Buy it you wont be disappointed

Rubbish game!!

I bought this game for my 5 year old as she desperately wanted it. When it arrived she played it and completed the entire game in just under an hour, It is way too easy, there are no separate levels, it is 1 entire journey and you just go from the next one to the next one and so on. Nothing difficult in the entire game! nothing to challenge a 5 year old who has never played play station before. Do NOT buy this!!

A Classic - Reproduced for the 21st Century

Summary: This game is simply tetris, times six! That's because there are 6 different types of tetris on one CD. All of them are fun as hell, and very addictive - the only one that I didn't like is called Hot Line Tetris. Only the best tetronic players should try this one, but all the others are great. If you love Tetris buy this one; after all it's half the price of a normal game!

Gameplay: what can I say.....Tetris will never change!!Everything is old school except for a game where the gravity is off and the pieces fall into holes beneath them - a refreshing change. There is also the fact that it's a 4 player game, which makes it even more fun to play. You and your nerd buddies from the gameboy years can have hours of fun reminiscing with this one.

Graphics: The background looks weak as hell, and you can't really change the unchangeable(ie. tetris blocks). But there are these little cube monsters called Minos that react when you move pieces and look like retarded icecubes. You can change them by playing the different games and getting higher ranks on each of them. Eventually you'll be able give them hair, different coloured eyes and different coloured skin!

Sound: the sound is so-so. The music mixes a little techno-trance with some classical stuff. When you score a single, double, triple or the all mighty TETRIS a sexy female voice will tell you so. The only down side is that the Minos don't make any noise...

Overall: The graphics and sound could be improved on, but you don't buy tetris for those qualities. The gameplay is great and it is still as addictive a game as it was all those years ago. Purists and fans of more advanced games may not like this update, but for Tetris fans, it's a must buy.

Star Wars On The Cheap.

This will be a short review. This game was a great game when it was full price. Now it's out on Platinum, it is a must buy if you don't have it. The gameplay can be quite simple, but it's great finger twitching stuff, and it's Star Wars flavour!! Excelent stuff once again from Lucus Arts.

Judge Dredd

No where near as slick as Medal Of Honour but a cracking game for the fan

Mega City One looks brill and Dredd actually sounds right (no one mention sly)

This is quite possibly the worst game I have ever played on the PS2. Why so many people have positively rated this game is beyond beggars belief; it is APPALING.

Where do I start? Firstly the amount of moves allocated to each character is terrible. If memory serves me right I think each character has at most 6-7 unique moves, that reduces longevity / playability considerably in my view and makes gameplay highly tedious. The fighting modes are very limited too; you always have to select three fighters which is annoying.

I dont see the need for 2D fighting games when you consider the power and capability of the PS2. I mean, its not a ZX spectrum for god's sake.

Compared to Tekken and Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, taking into account their own individual shortcomings, comparitively speaking this really is a huge failing on Konami's part. And the potential for a game of this kind is huge especially considering the scope that the PS2 offers to the fighting genre. However, it feels like you are playing on a 16bit console with this game most of the time.

This might sound a bit silly / wishful thinking but if you combined the concept of this game with the graphics of MK and the gameplay of Tekken 4 (perhaps slightly harder though) then you would have a winning formula. I guess that isn't really the point though.

This is a waste of time and money but, mind you, it has probably been discontinued by now.

Sell this and buy a Playstation NOW!

Having enjoyed Playstation for the last 2 years. I was lucky to having bought a PS2 with Athen 2004 and WRC 3. I feel like throwing the machine away and sticking to Playstation excellence with Formula 1. Monopoly. F1 Championship Season 2000. Toca World Touring Cars. World Rally Chamionship 3 is slow.has really bad sound. it really looks like me buying a Xbox or Dreamcast or sticking to Playstation. Dreadful!
