Simply Remarkable DE875
The last reciver I purchased was the DE315, of which at the time was top of the line. Recently I upgraded to the DE875 and it has been a most remarkable improvement. From basic Radio play, to DVD, the DE875 can do it all, while leaving an honourable impression among owners and guests alike.Complete with Virtual Matrix 6.1, going to the movies became a thing of the past, as audiences and neighbors alike now flock toward my door in search of entertainment.

Good value for money media streamer
I bought this item a few days ago, and all in all I am very pleased with the quality and sound. It was a bit of a pain to set up. I originally bought a wireless pci card for my pc to use as the network connection. I was then advised against this by my local computer shop and bought a wireless broadband router instead. I set it up as instructed but when the unit was plugged into the TV all i got was waiting for host. I knew the wireless part ws working, but it would not connect to the software on the PC. I checked my firewall and all access was OK. After reading some reviews on Amazon.com I turned of the Windows firewall and all worked OK. Now I am busy loading all my cd's to my hard drive. This is a good unit for the price and in my opinion much better value than a hard drive mp3 player.....60

this item may discourage buyers as it seems the cheap option, but the sony quality of sound is just as good, no matter the environment and it has more than enough power to handle any size room.
