1. it is easy to use- you pump on the button and it works (anyone every have one of those spinners that you have to spin in the air by a cord? horrible) much easier to use than a cord spinner or a lever/knob spinner -where you have to rotate the lever/knob around
2. it stays put while it spins- others seem to dance around the counter, but this one has a little rubber traction ring on the bowl- lending it a"good grip"
3.nice brake, to stop the spin and to keep the"spin button" collapsed down for storage
4. easy to store- I sandwhich between my other bowls and the lid is to the side
5. very easy to clean

I have owned my oxo - good grips spinner for a few years now (bought it in a littke kitchen shop in Madagascar - it was their only one and they received it by mistake) and I think it is the best. Really, this thing is just hateful. And I hate it. What a waste of resources and energy. I wonder what the carbon footprint is for each of these waste of spaces.
I'd give it zero stars if I could but then, I suppose it will actually work as a cake slice rather than as a quality provider of musical entertainment and amusement, so shall comfort myself with that small compensation.
How do I know so much about this dreadful piece of tat? My mother thought it would be a good birthday present for me...

glass jug - wont harbour smells & more substantial
Ice crushing blades - essential
tap - very usefull
black & silver (even the white one is £50 in argos)
I certainly am not disappointed with this machine , its brilliant, ive made smoothies everyday & cocktails for friends at the weekends
ive found it whips thru ice cubes &* frozen fruit without any problem
Its easy to clean, but this must be done immediately, dont leave the fruit to dry on as it will be a nightmare - just a quick run thru with a COLD tap (so the fruit doesnt"cook" onto the jug) & then a rince in hot water is all it takes to get it clean. Perfect smoothies in less than 5 minutes including cleaning

Stylish product but too big to handle
I ordered this online while it was being sold in sale. And now I'm glad I didnt buy it full price. The idea of these attractive serving hands is quiet innovative but using them is inconvinient. They are too big to fit in your hands and don't give a good grip of the food. And if your guests don't know about this product, they'll keep wondering how to use it. Good for leafy salads only.7

Excellent Product
Neat little spinner. The plus points for me are:It's dishwasher-proof. I refuse to buy any kitchen aid that's not. (Anybody know where I can get a dishwasher-proof oil-sprayer?)
It's compact. Just the right size for two people. Well, us two anyway.
It looks good.
It works well. Push the central plunger and you get a good old spin. No clutch-slip. The brake works well.
One small criticism, not worth dropping a whole star, is that the plunger-spin mechanism, built into the lid, pushes down into the bowl. You have to leave a gap in the centre of the bowl to make room for it.
