Enjoyable Game

Good game, Don't know what the other review was about but the graphics were as good as anyother PSP game. Fun to play but could have been longer.

Almost perfect for the PSP

I love this game...at it's really suited to the PSP.
The graphics are cool, the music is excellent and the theme of the 80s LA style is almost perfect really.

I've only given the game 4 stars for"fun" because it can be a little difficult, although I'm not the best gamer in the world so it could just be me!

If you've played GTA before then you know all about the format and how it works and it may be a little"been there done that" for you.
But if you haven't, or you're new to the PSP then this is the one game I heartily recommend. Seriously. if you could have one game for the PSP this may very well be it!

Great game - must buy at this price

This game retains most of the fun and the features of the PS2 version. Some bits are missing, like the commentary but so what. Really good fun and addictive. The fewer buttons actually make it more fun!

Wasn't pleased to begin with, but then i got into it.

I bought this game because it looked good. Eager to play it i was suddenly disappointed, people couldn't speak and the action game i thought i was buying was filled with fluffy, cute animals! But then i started to play it for real and it was brilliant. It's so detailed, you get to fish, set traps and even cook meat, but don't leave it on the fire for to long or it will actually burn. There are eleven, yes eleven weapons to choose from! You get to customize your character, go on quests to slay rare monsters or lead a happy normal life in the wilderness and catch your food. Brill game, don't be too disappointed at first impression.

Does exactly what it says on the box.

I been using these adapter for a couple of weeks now and had no problems with it so far. And another thing is that even though it say 4Gamers on Amazon, it's actuarial manufactured by Gamexpert.

It's good but not brilliant

If you're a fan of the genre and like a good PSP FPS then, let's face it, you're probably going to buy this game anyway. If you are undecided and don't own the orginal then please buy MOH1; cheaper, much more in the gameplay and more extras. MOH2 is good, the graphics are slick, the sound effects will have you ducking your head to avoid incoming and you will have probably around 8-14 hours of gameplay before you reach the last level. Incidentally, the previous reviewer is absolutely right. The last level is a variation on the 'Get out of the building before it blows up' against the clock theme and is probably the most frustrating, infuriating and annoying thing to hit a computer since those ZX Spectrum tapes which used to make a screeching noise while loading. Simply impossible to complete without anger manangement classes. Other than that, not bad. There are better but if you've got more money than time to look around why not?

Multiplayer disappointing

Got this game a few weeks ago. At first it was excellent but unfortunately it causes my PSP to crash every time I try to play a multi-player game against my brother. In two weeks of trying we've only managed to complete one match!! Sega should iron out the bugs before release.

On single player it is brilliant.

Top-notch!for a little format like a psp, its just like playing vice city on ps2 only its psp and you can take it anywhere but why 4 outa five? because of when you steal a fast car like a cheeta and drive fastit takes time for the landscape to load making things suddly apear and damage your ride!

Theres so much to do like buy cool guns and kill people or missons what are very atictive youl love the missons where you get to fly helecopters! the missons are very good! this is also a great freee roam game as well just drive and expore! and shoot people your player is victor vance, yes hes the guy that was killed in the orinnal vice city thats because stories is set 2 years before the oringal vice city

you get to do karate on it spy gadgets galore you get to flip threw lasers ive your a fan of james bond iw would get this game cos he has some of james bonds gadgets like the black out pen ect.

The first game in the epic Final Fantasy series is now available on PSP and its great. The graphics have been updated since the NES days and looks positively nice on the little handheld.

The gameplay is really good. Its a good premise, with certain items needing to be found to unlock a new area, to get new stuff etc. It has a lot of play value in it and you may well find yourself stuck.

I have racked up almost 10 hours of play already on this and I'm only about half way through. If you like your games long and deep there is no better buy than this, especially at this price.

A genius update to the classic formula

OK, so it is Space Invaders, relatively unchanged too.

But what it does add it does with style, class and finesse.

The structured powerup system, the Rez-style synaesthetic beats and backgrounds, the branching level structure, bonus rounds, bosses and more.

It's a much more nuanced game than you once knew, requiring a little more thought and skill. It can still be played as a hectic blaster but there's a lot more depth if you want it.

Absolutely genius for bus/train/tube journeys!

Star wars fans dont be dismayed this game is ok

This is my first time at writing a review but its about quite a good game i brought this game by accident insted of the PS2 version but i later got a PSP, overall its a good game. There are a few things wrong with it though, the controls have 4 different modes defult,basic,advanced and retro on advanced and retro you can roll but on basic and defualt you cant this make using the controls difficult if youve got used to 1 set and want to be able to roll,also on the first game you have free acsses to wookies and jet troopers but on this one you dont you have to get points to get them why did the makers do that? , that aside though its a Amazing game the graphics are good and the missions were you can be a rouge assassin, impereal inforcer and rebel raider are really fun but the best thing is you get to be a jedi!! I hope i was of help to whoever reads this

M.G.S rocks

Metal Gear Soild is awesome but DO NOT play this unless you have played M.G.S3 snake eatter coz you need to play that one coz this is the lost chapter between 3 and 1 coz in M.G.S it goes 3.1.2.4

What a disappointment - stick with the original

This game promises so much and yet the designers have messed up on all the basics while trying to get back to the basics of the original game. Jumping for example is really really hard - there's no slow walk facility to enable you to line up your jumps. The camera also, is hard to use and does not help you easily trying to see the game environment from different angles.

I'm not sure if other users have had this problem but I've found picking up objects and the pushing action to be really tempramental and it seems like there is occassional button failure with these two actions.

On a plus the game does look and feel a bit like the original and you can see they've tried to get back to the tombs but the poor control interface makes this game a massive disappointment. A real missed opportunity.

The best protection for your PSP slim

I recently bought a PSP slim and did a lot of research on the different cases you can buy for the PSP. The main problem I found was that it wasn't always immediatly obvious whether the case was for the old PSP or the newer PSP slim or if it even mattered. I concluded that unless it categorically states that it is for the PSP slim you have to assume it is for the older bigger model and that it might not be suitable for the PSP slim.

This Logic3 case IS designed for the PSP slim. It is a sturdy looking case that claims to be unbreakable. It is made of hard clear polycarbonate plastic ecterior with a smooth black rubber interior. The PSP slim fits perfectly inside and is held in place when the lid is closed, absolutely no rattling whatsoever.

When the lid is closed there is access to the headphone socket, charging socket, on/off switch and the shoulder buttons. The lid folds back on the hinge to turn the case into a viewing stand at which point all buttons and ports can be accessed. A quick list of the good points and bad points:

Good Points:
1) Sturdy design
2) Holds and protects PSP slim perfectly, no rattling.
3) Looks good
4) Not bulky

Bad Points:
1) A bit expensive at £13
2) Only holds the PSP (somebody mentioned memory card storage in the lid, where?)
3) I find it hard to believe that it's as indestructible as it claims.

I know that i've waffled on a bit here, but the right case for your PSP is an important decision as it makes the difference between a nice shiny PSP and a scratched/broken PSP. As far as i'm concerned this is the one to get, the official Sony soft case is not designed for the PSP slim and is not as sturdy.

honestly, the orignial was better.

i bought this 34.99 in hmv. no way was it worth taht much. its ok, but i still prefer battlefront 2 for psp, and the graphics are better on the second one. its a shame really - there was so much more they could make of this game. the personalisation options where quite weak, and there was only really 3 varients of 3. gameplay gets repetative quickly. if you get it, i hope you enjoy it more than i did.

A Good Value Pack

In this review, I will go through each item and explain why they make up a great pack.

- Carry Case: This is a snug case which fits the psp well. It also has a little pouch to carry headphones and the screen cleaner in, but I would advise you buy a UMD Disc carry case because the space isn't really secure enough for games.
- Data Cable: Your average data cable. Works fine and is essential for getting all your music, videos and photos on your psp.
- Car Charger: A useful little device. The lead is long enough and its great for long journeys.
- Earphones: They produce a decent sound whilst also not dusturbing anyone else. Essential for those quick games at home when no one else wants to hear you blowing things up.
- Wrist Strap: Although it doesn't look all that stylish, this strap still feels strong enough to support your psp. It can also be easily detactched to store in the pouch of your case.
- Screen Protector: An excellent protecter which is easy to fit and has rigid sides so no air bubbles get stuck. It fits and protects the psp well and you don't notice it's there.
- Cleaning Pad: A useful cleaner which you can keep in your case. It is effective but, with the screen protector on, it hasn't seen much use yet.
- PSP port covers: These are three small rubber stoppers which cover the data cable, charger and headphone inputs for your psp. They prevent dust from coming in, but I don't think they are realy that necessary. Nonetheless a bonus.

Overall, this pack is great value for money and all the items in it perform excellently.

It's finally here, and it's better than Legend!

Okay. Where do I start? I played the original Playstation Tomb Raider to death back in 1997. While I bought a couple of the sequels I never really got into them in the same way as the original. I never really bothered with the PS2 only Tomb Raider games, either. When I bought a PSP, I got Legen with it, and I really enjoy it, though I found that the tendency of the game to produce odd camera angles did detract somehwat from the gameplay. I've been waiting for this since March, and even bought the PS2 version (excellent) to keep me occupied while the PSP version arrived. And it's finally here! The way they have kept the feel of the original levels with updated puzzles and better graphics is excellent. The big difference with Legend... is that the controls have been changed giving you better control of the camera angles. The whole thing feels much more natural than Legend (which is still a good game).
