The leads are sufficient for all the speaker's connectivity unless you have a large size room although the adaptor I must say is pretty heavy and ugly but whose gonna notice that anyway.
Overall a great price in terms of quality and design for this compact 5.1 set which is more than enough for PC output but I would have preferred it to be all silver hence the 4 stars. Worth buying.

Hi Fi quality but portable
I brought these for my niece for Christmas after reading the reviews on here, they are really great, and you would not believe they are portable speakers, we were all amazed at the sound coming from them, Hi Fi quality but portable. You can plug anything that has a headphone socket into these even your old portable TV. So 10 out of 10, from me, and my niece. Just got the Visorblade a few days ago. Ready straight out of the box. I connected to my phone ( Samsung G600 ) with no problems. Fitted onto cars sun visor with metal clip, which can be left in place, and Visorblade held there by a couple of strong magnets. It feels safe, and won't come off and kill you if you corner too fast. The small lights which show it's status, are not distracting. I rate it. The mic is a bit tinny, but most of this size are. It's got plenty of volume though, and you should not miss a conversation. My natural instict is to raise my voice to speak to it, and I have been told not to shout. So yes, it's good for the money.Buy one.

The unit is just as cute as it looks in the picture and while light, seems to be solidly made. The remote is small and tidy, though maybe a little too small and tidy.
It comes with a range of different sized bases for different sized iPods - it doesn't have one specifically for the 3rd Generation iPod Nano, but the Nano is so light that I use it in a bigger base and it is absolutely fine.
All in all I'd say this is a cracking piece if kit. An absolute bargain for the price.

A great bit of kit
As other reviews mention, the sound this thing produces is surprising good. It won't fill a warehouse, but for around the home it's pretty decent. I rarely have it on at full volume, though when I do the sound quality doesn't suffer.The unit is just as cute as it looks in the picture and while light, seems to be solidly made. Worth the money
This speaker system is much better than I expected , having had a play with some of the products offered in the usual electrical shops for the same or usually more money I was expecting rather less quality than I got, the system has a good robust feel. I use it with a Sony nwz818 it fits nicely , the only down side is if you want to charge and play your mp3 at the same time it ends up as a bit of a rats nest of wires, but, if your just playing using the jack plug stalk it works well and its quite neat too. Not quite the sleek form you'd get with many ipod dedicated docks but fair enough, a workman like effort and worth the money50

I bought these speakers after reading the thoughts of other amazon customers, who all bar one gave rave reviews.I have to admit that when set up i was rather disappointed.Altough the sound quality is quite good it is no better than the built in speakers of my laptop (Toshiba 1.66 GHZ). Nothing more than a gimmick
While the Creature IIs may look ace, they don't sound it. With poor midrange sound, the trebel sounds tinny, and the bass from the sub-standard subwoofer is an overpowering blur. It took me a while to get these working, with the right speaker refusing to make any noise (a common complaint with these speakers). After less than a month, they've broken, and I'm replacing them with some Creative Gigaworks T20s, which I hope will be much better. Only buy these speakers if you just care about their looks and not the sound - after a few recommendations I was severely disappointed. I would advise you to steer clear of these speakers. If you don't want to spend any more than the £43, get some Logitech X-230s (£25) which sound quite a lot better and are far cheaper.53

PS3 gaming with sound
when I was looking to buy a head set I wanted one that would allow me to use it for music with a pc and for gaming on a pc and a playstation 3. I already knew logitech headsets tend to work well with a playstaion 3 and I had read about the problems the bluetooth headsets caused to your controllers. I opted for this headset and it set it self up to the point of me checking it had been recognised which it had, I then tested it in battlefield bad company and call of duty 4 and it worked a treat. everyone I asked said it was clear enough for them to hear and it improved the game for me as I could warn people they were going to be shot and taunt those I had shot as well as congratulating those who shot me. Bob Hopkins said it was good to talk and he was right.54

It charges your ipod.
It is quite compact, light, and if you use it with the batteries the case is great.
The sound is amazingly good for the size. It's a lot better quality than I expected and louder too.
I've given it 5 stars for the sound quality and also for the fact that if you need to buy a charger anyway (around a tenner) these speakers work out at around £15. I'd have been happy with the sound at the original £70 RRP.
I'm off outside now with my IPOD, speakers and a nice glass of white!

compact, light and excellent sound

SIZE AND WEIGHT - very light and easy to pack in an overnight bag. I travel for work and stay overnight in hotels often and these speakers easily fit in my overnight.
CONSTRUCTION - they seem well made and can take general bumps and scrapes.
Despite the loudness issue, which may be me being unrealistic, I would recommend these speakers - and I would buy them again.

Very good, but I wish they were louder
I give four stars for this product cos of one gripe - the speakers are not quite loud enough for my liking. Though I am a DJ and I like my music loud. But given that these are portable speakers I ought not to complain too much. It would be unfair to call them quiet but they sure ain't loud.Let's look at the good stuff.

This excellent iPod dock has surpassed all my expectations. There is no doubt it out performs competitor products (Bose, Apple HiFi) having heard these other devices. Altec Lansing have always been in the speaker business and this becomes very clear with this product. Although not high end Hi-Fi, it fills the room with excellent sound and has the added advantage over the competition in that there is very neat bass and treble adjustment with clever hidden level indicators. My taste in music is eclectic, and I find this system faithfully reproduces music right across all genres of music. I definitely recommend this product over the competition, with the added bonus it is the cheapest in it's class.

Truly excellent!
After much deliberation over which new speakers to buy after my old Logic3 ones packed in, I decided on the Creature System - and I can say I'm not in the least bit disappointed in my purchase! The satellites are really small but are more than loud enough and the mighty sub-woofer looks (and sounds) excellent. Best £50 I've spent in a while! Recommended.
