Good points: It looks very professional and feels solid. It was light and putting all the pieces together was a doddle. Instructions were clear.
Bad points: I tried steaming the tiles around the cooker, the toilet bowl, the glass conservatory door and a pair of my son's dirty trainers. I really couldn't see much difference after using the steam cleaner. The tiles need a good scrubbing at the same time. The old water marks on the toilet bowl stayed put. The conservatory door looked cleaner but it would have been easier to use a cloth and some glass cleaner. The trainers still looked dirty.
All in all a steam cleaner creates a lot of steam and not much action. I think I will stick to good old elbow grease.

Dreadful after sales service
We had the Magic Star for 2 years 2 months. Warranty expired after 2 years. Steam became uncontrollable - could not be switched off.Took for ever to make contact with Solarzone (the UK agent for Service), looks like only 1 operator answers the 'phone for all calls whatever their nature. Had no details of my purchase - excuse given - only recently taken over the UK service and had not received any documentation from LauraStar.
Was told to return the boiler and iron (which have to be detached from the board) and an estimate would be prepared. This came to £190 for parts labour and carriage.
Spoke to LauarStar MD in Switzerland and was told the same story. Product was out of warranty and that was the cost of the repair - on which I would get 3 months warranty.
After much protest Lauarstar agreed to pay for the parts - reducing my bill to £79.99.
Not a good experience - from a company that advertises -"you deserve the best" and on television (QVC) their salesman says the product is made to Swiss standards and hardly ever goes wrong, but when it does you will be well looked after.
My advice - take care.
