At first I was pleased with the iron as it made easy work of the ironing and worked fine, however 3 months down the line it has started to get continuous air locks and ends up pumping our more water than steam which is really annoying!!
I have also been unable to source the special filters from anywhere which also adds to the frustration.
My recommendation would be save your money and spend a little more on a decent steam generating iron as this model is clearly a cheap attempt to enter into this market! I will be returning mine to buy a better model!

Weighs a ton
I was ironing the other day with my lovely Braun Iron and was sad when it kept tripping the electrics and had I to make a decision to buy a new iron. (I would buy another Braun Iron at the drop of a hat but they are tricky to get hold of)Anyway, I ploughed through the many models of irons on offer and finally chose the MR Confi Grip. I was excited about the auto shut off function as any job I do around the house is often cut short with the word `MUM! can you come and help me` from somewhere around the house so thought that this would would be a fab feature. Good points = huge water tank, long cable to get to end of ironing board. Bad points = It is sooo heavy even without the water, the audible alert to let you know it is at optimum temperature is quite annoying after a while, not a very pointy end to get into those nooks on some items of clothing. All in all really uncomfortable to use. Please Braun, bring back your lovely irons.29

It's given me tennis elbow!
I have been using this iron for the last couple of months and find it really heavy and awkward to use. So much so that I now have a nasty case of tennis elbow! The bottom filling thing is a pain in the neck and the cord rubs on my arm as I'm ironing. I wouldn't recommend this iron to anyone.33

The results from this iron were very disappointing. It does not remove creases successfully. Each time you pick up the iron to use you need to press the steam button which quickly becomes tiresome. I would not recommend anyone to buy it.36

Having been the lucky recipient of a trouser press for my 30th birthday, I can tell you that the Corby 7700 presses trousers really quite well. Simple to use, once you've lined up the trousers, it leaves a decent crease and reduces the need to use expensive dry cleaners simply for the appearance.
