Not fully Satisfied with the item
The Iron I used for 4 years broke a few days ago and needed another one immediately and bought this one on Amazon as a Prime member I get a next day delivery on all items (but not always! u know this is Amazon!!!) The item arrived the next day itself, but the base is a bit rough and does not move smoothly as my old one with a stainless steel base would. Still it does the job. So I would not recommend this item to anyone!56

Faulty one week after warranty expired...
I have brought this iron just over a year ago but it failed just a couple of weeks after the one year warranty expired! I had a look inside as i'm an engineer by trade and I found that the heating element had burned and was beyond economical repair so it went straight in the bin. The iron is heavy and stable but the"Advanced permanent anti-scale" technology is nothing but pure hype in my opinion. Inside the steam chamber was full of scale despite having always used filtered Brita water and having always discarding the water from the tank after use as detailed in the instructions. When using the steam mode we often found scale coming out staining shirts etc... This is one of the few times when I spent much more on a solid brand and model expecting quality and peace of mind. Unfortunately it has been well below my expectation hence the poor rating.
