very disappointed - 28/4/08 UPDATE, MUCH HAPPIER

Amazon have never failed me before but they have this time.

This storage unit is VERY flimsy considering how much it cost and it's not finished well with several bits of 'extra' plastic attached.
The instructions are not the best I've ever used but we managed, however, actually putting it together was a struggle.
We found that the pieces didn't fit that well but were afraid to use too much force in case we snapped off the fittings.
The top is still not properly attached to the bottom (maybe because neither my husband or myself is that tall!) and I am going to have to ask my brother for help.
One of the door handles won't push into the slots provided - again we're afraid to force it in case the fittings break off.
The shelves are not very stable at all - they keep falling off the back supports.
I'm not convinced about it being waterproof but I'm going to have to chance it as I desperately need the space.
I would return it but I got so fed up with it I hit it with my walking stick and broke a non vital part!

28/4/08 MUCH HAPPIER NOW IT HAS BEEN UP FOR A WHILE. SEEMS TO BE WATERPROOF AND IS STILL STANDING FIRM. NOT AS MUCH ROOM AS I HOPED. NOW THINK IT DESERVES 3 STARS - STILL VERY EXPENSIVE WITH REGARD TO THE QUALITY

Sturdy and does the job

This is a very good quality knife rack with plenty of room for lots of knives, scissors etc. The magnet is extremely strong so everything stays secure. The only very slight point is that the wall it is fixed to has to be fairly flat in order to clip the magnet to its mountings. With a bit of effort we found a level that was flat enough and it's turned out to be a really good buy.

Box OK, but packaged poorly

Ordered one of these and it arrived badly damaged because there is very little protection in the box. Amazon quickly sent another, but that too was damaged. Managed to make a complete one out two and sent the bits back.

Box is very easy to assemble and quite strong. However, lid is not that well designed. With it locked, it's quite easy to lift a corner a reach in with you arm, so not that secure. Also there's not much of a lip around the lid so there's the possibility of water ingress. Time will tell.
