Imposing Poseable Figure

The Judoon were impressive on their debut adventure with Doctor Who and this figurine with Helmet, Weapon and equipment captures that impressive/imposing appearance. This articulated figure captures their hulking presence perfectly with fine modelling and details adding to the believability of this mercenary police commander - perhaps the perfect bodyguard for a young child frightened of the bogeyman under the bed as this toy would 'kick its a**e'. With this character being alien but not a baddie I'd think this would add some variety to play/story telling.

A Steal of a price for Doctor Who !

Awesome, well and truley a good buy!

Bought this from Amazon as the price was well below anywhere else, less than half price actually, so well worth possibly buying and putting away for Christmas for any serious Doctor Who fan young or old. (Earn extra brownie points buy buying this). Well worth the £14.00 something. Plus free delivery over £15.00, a steal.

I thought oh another piece of over priced plastic, will last no more than ten minutes than boredom will set in ..... no husband thinks it is great (and no it wasn't bought for him). Bought for our son's birthday, so he still doesn't know.

Have tried it out though, put it through its paces and I can say money well spent, it looks the part, the head size is adjustable I know I read a while ago somewhere that the size is small, but it fits me as an adult.

The sounds are great, and the lights really super, just the present for any serious Doctor Who fan, young or old, girl or boy. .

The best bit is that it is not just cheap and flimsy but quite robust and does look really good especially if you were going to a fancy dress party, just have to find the rest of the body though .....(Blue Peter eat your heart out) Priced so cheaply, does make you consider the fact you could hold your own Doctor party, much better than a costume ball, a cyber ball !


I have had so much fun with it and that is before our five year old has seen it . (more batteries now required). Warning if buying it for a present for someone other than one living in your home, buy two as you will want to keep it.

Brilliant for kids

Our three children received this as a present one year ago. The 5 year old played with it daily for a month and even now it still has a regular outing, and although the 12 year old would prefer the adult version, she's still happy to play. Educationally its good for easy counting. There are only £1,£2,£3,£4 and £5 and the cost of the property is the same as the rent, until you get both of the same colour and then its doubled. At first our 5 year old used to find it a bit tricky to work out which notes to hand over, or how much change to give, but he soon got the hang of the maths. All the property is based on fairground rides and attractions, and is brightly coloured. Excellent

... Still not a Time Lord. Even when I put the batteries in. :(

... okay, so, yes, a toy. For ages 5 and up. I'm, er, up.

It is plastic. Except for the chain. The chain makes the plastic look cheap. But does function to keep the watch where it is put, so that part works out. The case has patterns just like on the show, and seems fairly accurate. Same with the watch face. So that's nice. But the light effect is pathetic - I've got a better light on my keychain, and it doesn't light the center of the watch at all. And the sound effect happens whenever you make the light, so it isn't much use if you, for instance, want to know the time in the cinema. Plus it sounds like the Doctor only if the Doctor is talking through a comb after inhaling helium. Actually come to think his voice doesn't change when inhaling helium, so it's just out of character. Er, I mean, it sounds mostly like hsssh shhh crsshh and you can only tell what he's saying because we have it memorised from TV. Bit disappointing really.

On the plus side - Time Lord watch! Wheeee!

Pretty boring

Just about everyone knows Top Trumps, but does everyone like them? I did at first when we played a 10 minute game, but towards the end I started getting bored. The whole concept of this silly cards game is boring and pretty much a waste of time and money. Im my case I would rather play with Texas hold `em cards every day rather than play Top Trumps once a week. For those who don`t know the game it involves comparing values of different characters from Dr who and the one with the `better` values wins. It soon becomes silly and repetitive after a few rounds, so if I were you I`d buy proper cards and learn how to play.

unsuitable material

I was so disappointed with this purchase for my Power Ranger mad grandson. When the 9" green Power Ranger I ordered arrived it was made of something very similar to potty putty. It cannot even stand up on its own it is so bendable. It is useless to play with. All you can do with it is to pull it about so it elongates, but the product material is so pliable that the figure cannot support itself and so my grandson cannot stand it up because it just falls over.

Disaster, and not cheap! I thought it would be made of plastic like the small Power Ranger figures. This one is made of a rubber like material and so is just a bendy toy. I would not have bought it had I known it was not made of the same material as the small figures.
Very very disappointing.

Hooked!

After playing Carcassonne once I was instantly hooked. Briefly, the game consists of the following. Players pull a tile from the deck and place it against an already present tile. If you create a new object (a city, a road, a monastery, or a farm), you can claim ownership to it. Your score depends on the items you own, whether or not they have been completed and how developed they are.

To win the game you need good strategy and luck. The rules are easy to learn, and the game can be finished within the hour so you can play it more than once in one evening.

To play the game you will need Carcassonne, the original game. There are many expansions available that can only be played with the original game. There are also variants to the original game that cannot be played with the expansions. So read the description carefully before you purchase any additional items.

When purchasing the original Carcassonne I strongly recommend that you also buy at the least the first Expansion: Inns and Cathedrals, which makes the game more challenging and with higher risks.
