I love the hedgehog family. I remember I once had two sets of the hedgehog family, and I lost the parents to one of the sets so I created my family to have four hedgehog children instead of two.

Lego continue their 30th anniversary releases with this fantastic Jedi Starfighter with detachable hyperdrive ring.
Based on the previous releases of Anakin Skywalker's Starfighter and the two from the Ultimate Space Battle set, the blue Jedi Starfighter has the same design with a few improvements built in. The cockpit assembly is sturdier than the previous issues and the hull has special adaptors to allow it to connect to the hyperdrive ring. Because of this, other Jedi Starfighters cannot dock with the ring which is a shame.
The ring itself measures a full 28cm across and has six engines and two missiles which can be launched with a flick of the finger. The ring itself is a little fiddly to assemble, relying on small Technic parts in the construction and as such, younger builders may find this difficult.
The kit comes with two figures, Obi-Wan Kenobi and for the first time, Kit Fisto! Kit comes equipped with a green lightsabre.
Construction time is about 50 minutes. A great looking kit and a must have for those fighter squadrons.

For adults not children!

My son enjoyed patiently building this model over 4 days at Christmas but found that every time he wanted to play with the model it fell apart as its base is not strong enough to support the model and the engines stick out below the base so they fall off every time it is put down. Finally after months of frustration we contacted Lego who supplied some extra bricks to try and stabilise the base (a known problem obviously) but that didn't work so we returned it. A great model for adults but simply not suitable for playing with - don't waste the money for kids.

Dora

Bought this Dora for my daughter, she loves it and she is only 2 years old. It is just the right size for her and bigger than i thought it would be. The hair on Dora's head is lovely and soft and so is the rest of the toy and solid for a beanie. Also colourful and with a backpack which is a must for any Dora fan. If you are not wanting a big size Dora for your little person to carry around with them then this is the one for you to buy.

Not so stretchy!

My 4 year old daughter wanted this for Christmas and it was top of her list for Santa. The day after boxing day a split had appeared under the armpit under normal use from a 4 year old. I will be returning it and would not recommend that you buy. Check the reviews for stretchy Homer Simpson as this seems to be a common problem.

Fab toy!

This Makka Pakka was bought for my 2 year old son for his Birthday and he absolutely adores it. It goes everywhere with him. It is a lovely toy and makes cute little noises aswell as a little song. The only down side is the colour of him as my sons has become quite dirty - but there is no way I can take it away from him to clean as he sleeps with him too! Massive treat for any In The Night Garden fan.

Green is for grass

So it’s a green base plate - it’s ideal for building lego structures on and as it’s green you can pretend that it’s grass, great for gardens I hear you cry!

If you (or your kids) want to build houses/zoos then buy this.

A good starter lego box

I purchased this box of lego for my niece for Christmas. It's a good first selection of lego, you have wheels, you have everything you need to make a house (door/window frames and roof tiles). You even have a base plate (even if it is a bit on the small side. The selection of pieces is good. There is an ideas book with some interesting creations in. In fact there isn't really anything you can say that is bad about this box.

This makes a great first introduction in to the realms of real lego.

didicar assembly

have purchased this car for my nephew - haven't got it assembled yet as I don't have the correct tools - will have to go get a tube spanner from a DIY store as it doesn't come with it - you will also need a hammer or mallet. The instructions very poorly translated and the tools are not included. I am sure it will be great fun but, if I was doing this on Christmas Eve I would be pretty annoyed. I found decent assembly instructions on the internet by putting 'didicar assembly' into google and found good clear instructions - now am off to B&Q!

hi, had the starter pack which included lotus and duece plus the funkey that plugs in to the usb on your computer, plus 2 extra one twinx and exener, they are really great. my older brother whose 13 even likes them as does my younger sister. you are able to live in a fantasy world and design your own room. they are really good value for money and i think that they might be on lots of xmas lists as most of my friends like them.
