My daughter suffers from ADHD, she's nearly five...she loves this because it's easy to handle and she can make houses and pendulums. She especially enjoys the way she can collect all the pieces together by their instant attraction

Fantastic toy for both kids and their parents

Geomags has the ability to capture the interest of both kids and parents. Magnetism is very facinating. You can easily build squares, triangles and other small shapes, and getting into the larger scale of building is very challenging.
All in all a very recomendable toy.

Bag your own 'Mag !

If you don't already own some of this, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you do already own some, you're probably too busy trying to make a hammock out of it to read this.
For those of you who have never heard of it, Geomag a fascinating magnetic construction kit, which you can use to build any geometric shape from a pyramid (my favourite)to a sphere, or model anything from a stealth fighter-plane to a cathedral.
The price seems more than a little steep, I know, but once you get your hands on the stuff, you'll understand why it's so expensive.
The kit consists of surprisingly strong magnetic bars about half an inch long, with a very tactile, slinky metallic finish, and precision-made stainless-steel bearings. Fix the bars together using the bearings to change direction and create 3-D forms, and you're away. Obviously, the more pieces you have, the larger and more ambitious the shapes you can make.
This is as good as executive (sorry, educational)toys get.
Perfect for wet afternoons just before pay-day (whether you're at work or not), and you can even use it to keep the kids amused while the grown-ups talk - if they can prise it from your cold dead fingers!
The only problem with the damn stuff is that you have to keep putting away - if you don't, you'll never get anything done. And when you find that you need just a few more bits to finish your latest creation, you'll be back for more.
Verdict: It's geometric, it's magnetic, it's metallic, and it's lunatic. Must have more! More! More!

Great fun

Bought this for my 5 year old girl as she constantly was playing with her older brother's set, she just had to have her own. Now they play joining both sets together to create amazing constructions. This product is extremely solid, easy to use and fantastic fun, it's definitely one for all ages.

Addictive!

All I can say about Geomag is that it's brilliantly addictive. The number of different shapes/objects that you can make are limited by your imagination (and how many sticks/panels/balls you have).
Great for all ages (although parts are small, so not advisable for little ones) and it teaches you quite a bit about magnetism.
The only down side that I have found with them so far, is that as I get more experienced with the set, I try to make bigger and more complex shapes (easier with the panels as you need less sticks and balls for the shapes). As a result I run out of pieces and have to buy more, which is proving somewhat costly!(I own 1*220 panels, 2*48 color, 1*14 color and 1*20color)

geomag is just the best

My son is nearly 5 - he got this set from Father Christmas this year and loves it; even though the construction range is small, with only 12 bars and 8 balls, he thinks it’s amazing that he can build such shapes as pyramids and cubes and ladders (and even a reindeer). The magnets are really strong, so even watching them roll across the table towards each other is fun. It’s a great starter set, highly recommended.
