Nearly perfect essential for the Scrabble fanatic

You can play up to 3 other people on the official Scrabble board, with all the tiles, word score boxes and more, but this is ideal for use in a car (maybe not while you're driving!), bus, train, plane, etc.

The letter tiles clip securely onto the board, scores are kept on the side using smart number sliders, and even the player's tile racks fold over to hold each person's tiles in place between turns. If the game has to be interrupted, the racks fit under the board and the board folds over on itself to store the game in progress until everyone is ready to go again. I say 'nearly' in the title only because there doesn't seem to be enough room to store all the tiles, bag and rules in the folding box that makes up the board. Other than that, this is a great way to get your Scrabble fix, and for the price it can't be beat. Get this for travel and the deluxe wooden set for home play.

Showing that family boardgames need not be random

This is a fantastic game, truly a classic. I can play this with my family and have an hourof fun building roads, completing cities and watching a landscape unfold. I can also play it with more serious game playing adults and its a tense game of strategic tile manipulation to sabotage cities and steal points from other players' fields.

Wonderful to play, easy to explain and customisable to your taste with the array of availabe expansion sets. This is perhaps it's only weakness: it almost needs expansions after a while to keep it lively. Playing with people who can memorise the tile manifest is deeply, deeply, painful. The expansions keep the game fresh.

My son aged five loves this game, I know that the age range is from 6 years on the actual box, but five is an ideal age to start trying it out.

It really gets small children to recognise colours and the shape of a circle without even thinking that they are learning something, you know what they say if they enjoy playing with something and it also teaches them something then it cann't be too bad a toy. (Cann't remember who said that, but from somewhere in my distant memory I can remember that being said when I was a child).

The game is quite robust even when five year old and 15 year old daughter and friends join in, it doesn't tear or rip and best of all it can be used outside in the summer, so instead of the children being couch potatoes, especially during the summer hols, get them outside with this, whilst you can have some peace inside without them!

The game can also be played with just two people, both of mine also play together and wear themselves out.

Great to take on a camping or caravanning holiday, small to pack but endless fun.

Good for adults too after a barbie, but not too much alchol though as could be a trip to casualty needed.

Glad I bought it as it did produce a good many laughs and gymnastics at the same time.

Quite a good priced game, if you think of the amount of times and people who can play it, without loosing lots of little pieces, great for a birthday present, as then when it comes to a quiet moment and prizes have run out, you know when younger ones want more and more prizes let them play this.

Have noticed that as of 5/5/07 when I was in Toysarus that they were doing a deal of buy any MB Game and get a free £12.99 Little Pets Tomagoche, or free football DVD (cann't remember exact title sorry) but well worth it as the Little Pets free gift is worth £12.99. I bought the Operation game for £9.99 and was amazed that my free gift was worth more than actual game I bought. (Could be worth putting away for present for someone for Birthday or Christmas).

I felt I just had to mention the whole bartering part of the game; it's great fun.
Like the previous reviewer, I love the new board and it's a lovely, snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug fit. I've introduced the game to a few friends, some of whom are not normally into games, and they all love it. If learning the game seems a bit too much effort they have their own dedicated website to teach you how to play!

I was happy with the quality of poker chips and case. Some of the playing cards were slightly marked....and there was no instructions on how to play Texas Hold Em...like it said that there would be in the Set.

Best board game ever

We bought this for christmas when the family come over but gave it a trial run with my cousin, aunt and mum today and there wasn't much silence in the house cause of all the laughter.

We really enjoyed it, just a great game that seems more entertaining the more people are involved.

If you could only own one board game, I'd choose this one, you shouldn't even hesitate buying it.

A great upgrade

This is a classic game and with good reason. It's simple to play, but with infinite levels of game play for all ages and ability. Not only is it fun, but it stretches your vocabulary and mind as well. You'll have many a happy hour if you buy this. Highly recommended.

Jigsaw Roll 2000 pc Puzzle Holder Mat

Just simply a great practical item. Does what it says on the box!

Make up your puzzle on the felt mat, then when you want a break, simply pull open the telescopic tube, roll the puzzle and mat around it, and secure with the elastic bands provided.

A simple concept but great fun

Based on previous reviews I purchased this as a Christmas present for my 9 year old neice and have to agree with previous comments - this is an excellent toy. It had my neice, her parents and myself captivated for hours as we worked through the levels. Highly recommended.

Exciting, but not for the very shy...

I bought this game for my partner and I to give us a bit of fun, spice up our love love and so that we spent some 'quality time together'.

The game is fairly good quality, nice board and cards etc.

You go around the board, removing clothing, eating food in erotic ways, drinking, performing tasks and answering personal questions. The more times you go around the board the more erotic the questions and tasks.

My partner is quite shy so found some of the things a bit too much, but you can just repick cards or do the things you feel most comfortable doing. Obviously you need to both be in the mood, but you also need to have a bottle of something on stand by, some nice nibbles and about 2 hours of uninterrupted time.

Overall a good game, recommended for those wanting to spend more physical time with their loved one.

Good clean Adult Fun

Unexpected guests? Power cut? Has the rain spoiled your BBQ ? or do you just need a fun game to play with friends.
Then this is the game for you.
Not only is it good fun, but you really do get to know how well that friend or loved one really does know you.
Take it with you on that caravan holiday in case it rains.

Very poor design

There is very little to recommend this product. When it is opened out it is huge and unwieldy. To close it up all the pieces from the side flaps have to be removed and then all put out again next time. In desperation I cut the side flaps off so I can place the three parts separately on the table then when I want to store it I place the sections with the loose pieces on top of the jigsaw. If I want to store it vertically I place felt on the pieces, then cardboard, secured by elastic!! What a performance. The Jigsort is miles better.

Great fun for all the family

We loved this game at family parties - it has something for everyone and little kids, big kids and even sulky teenagers seem to enjoy being involved. We discovered talents in the family that we never imagined! develops spatial awareness, confidence building, language, drama, teamwork, dexterity. lots of fun! You do need a minimum of 4 people to play and it's not really easy to adapt the rules to play with just 3 people but thats my only criticism. I gave 4 stars for durability becuse you do model with playdoh which dries out if you don't put the lid back on and over time you use up the paper provided for drawing pics.

Essential Upgrade

If you've played the basic game and enjoyed it, now is the time to add an expansion or two.

Several expansions are available and this one being the first of those I would add it as soon as possible after you are used to the basic game. Adds a few more tiles into the basic game, a couple of new rules, making it slightly more challenging. After this expasion I recommend Traders and Builders.

Portapuzzle Deluxe - Not as good as expected

I left plenty of hints every birthday and Christmas and finally received a Portapuzzle.
I am so disappointed with it I wished I had never asked for it!
It is not possible for 2 people to share the enjoyment of a jigsaw unless the Portapuzzle is completely folded back on itself. This not only risks the danger of breaking the zip, but could also scratch any surface it is placed upon.
My husband and I are addicted to"Wasgijs", and as anybody who does these knows, portions of the puzzle need to be made up without actually knowing where they fit. The problem is, there is no 'slidability' on the padded felt surfaces of either the main board or the sorting boards, so everything breaks up when you try and put it in position.

Having tried this rather expensive item, I think I will revert back to my old method - a recycled kitchen cupboard door and the cork side of table mats for sorting the pieces!

Great Galloping Fun

This is a fantastic fun party game for friends and family. The DVD works really well with clear, easy to follow menus - you are quickly launched straight into the action. The races are great (although nail-biting) and the commentary really builds the atmosphere. There's a bookies board, form guide and a wad of pretend cash! I would recommend this 'GREAT NIGHT IN' to anyone - you don't have to be a racing fanatic to enjoy a flutter with this game!

shock ball

This ball is so much fun. The shock you get depends on where it touches you. It's very durable, i've dropped it lots and it's still working. You can play so many games with it like, hot potato and you can put the ball on different parts of your body. It's well worth £15, it makes you laugh. I expected it to be bigger but when you play with it you can see why they have made it smaller.

FANTASTIC

This is such a GREAT GAME! I can't tell you how funny it is and how quickly you pass the time....and you definitely get the creative juices flowing! We played it with a group of five and of seven, both of which were fine sizes. Probably not a best one for under 12's or just two people. Its a little like 'Call My Bluff' (the TV programme) and its fantastic - set yourself up for A LOT of laughter and enjoyment. Definitely a must have.

Hmmm... I'm surprised...

I'm indeed surprised of the REALLY GOOD QUALITY of the chips! They are one of the best chips I've ever used! I used to be a croupier and used to handle all kinds of chips, and found that these are HONESTLY GOOD!!!
