Easy - but vital for completing the main puzzle

I bought this as it is important to get a clue to a piece position on the main Eternity II board. It only took me 7 minutes to complete (maybe luck - who knows!) and got my piece location from the eternity II website. Therefore it is an expensive puzzle to solve so quickly but vital if you want to solve the main puzzle. So if you want any chance of the $2m you must be prepared to buy both clue puzzles and the main puzzle (£65!)

A bit too light

As basic chips, these would normally be fine, however I was looking for the chips with the similar feel to casino chips. If that is also what you are looking for, I would recommend 11.5g or heavier.

Excellent Fun!

I absolutely love this game! Great fun night in with friends or family. The contents were clear and concise and really gives the feel for a night at the dogs with score board and betting cards and even wads of money.
The live races were great and as there are 30 races included there are plenty to enjoy on other nights too, so we can have many a night in at the dogs.
Great value too.

Hours of endless fun and it's educational too

This game is absolutely brilliant, it's like a sprint version of Scrabble but slightly different. We had access to a game of Boggle over the summer holidays and never have I seen our 'I'd rather watch paint dry than read' son enjoy a game involving words so much. It had everyone gripped from our 9 year old daughter to Nana who has two degrees in English. The adults got very competitive and slightly ruthless as to words they tried to use and the kids practised their spelling without even realising it. It's so good that I intend to buy a copy for us and 8 copies as Christmas presents.

Trivial in name...

For the first time, Trivial Pursuit lives up to its title. The question compilers had clearly decided early on that the appropriate reference source for this edition was Heat Magazine. Thus, Arnold Swartzenegger becoming the first owner of a commercial HumVee is considered a Science and Nature Question. Even interesting points, such as Mozart composing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, are based on inaccurate and disproven rumour. Having just spent a week playing the original version in the Highlands, it was a huge disappointment to play this version. Every player should not be able to put together runs of six of seven correct anwers in TP! Please re-release the original!

Utterly addictive!

This was the first Wasgij I've done, and it really was brilliant fun to do. I never thought I'd like doing a jigsaw, but Wasgij puzzles are more than just a jigsaw- they're a brainteaser and mini story aswell. The pictures are really detailed and funny, and I especially like the expressions on the people's faces. They look hard, but once you get into them you just won't be able to stop! I agree that the picture on the front is useful, and I would really like to see more Wasgij puzzles out in the coming year.

group game

this game has provided hours of drunken amusement for me and my friends. durability is dependent on your own imagination, eventually you rewrite the game in favour of creating your own scenarios. comic genious is behind many of the dilemmas.

Don't be fooled

Don't be fooled by the fancy picture, these aren't quite the professional poker chips they say they are. For a start they are plastic, not clay, and there are no markings on their sides.

Don't get me wrong, they are perfect for first-timers and for playing poker with your mates on a boozy Saturday night in, but if you want genuine professional chips you should look elsewhere on the net.

Can't argue with the price though, you could do far worse! I'd recommend them for anyone interested in learning to play. Perhaps, once you discover how into the game you are, you can then invest in some REAL poker chips.

Be prepared for a late night!

Great addition to a night in with your friends playing Poker. Easily folds out and simply plonks on a tabletop (round one recommended), crack open the drinks and fetch out the nibbles...and away you go!

Me and my friends started a game of Texas Hold Em at 7.30pm......the final 2 were still playing at 3.30am!!!

Makes for a great social night, so dig out your cards and put on your best Poker face!

The Daddy of all quizzes

I first played a kids version of this game when i was about nine. I got beat. badly!!!
From such a poor start it would seem unlikely that i would come back to it, but here i am twenty years later and i’m still hooked!
Like Monopoly, cluedo & scrabble, this is a game you should have whether your a board game player or not. I’m not a big gamer but i struggle to imagine a better rainy winter sunday with friends that doesn’t involve this game.
My only complaint with this later version is that it appears to have ’dumbed-down’ a bit and there seems to be less questions too.
As with all the previous editions, many of the questions are relevant to the here & now and will date badly, but you can normally buy top up questions so it’s ok really.
In the grand echelon of board games/quizzes this is still as timeless as a pack of cards.

Needs Better Chips

The Case for the Poker set is good quality and the cards are also good, as expected. The chips however are too thin and light and the dice were also chipped. Overall a good product for the price.

Arkham Horror Review

Arkham horror is a great game for people with some imagination. It is steeped in myth and legend and anybody who likes H.P. Lovecraft's work or video games such as Eternal Darkness or more recently Bioshock will love it.
It is very cerebral - you have to think alot. It isn't easy to play, but in my opinion that makes it more fun. The game can be played with very few players, but it benefits being played in a big group.
Each game can take up a few hours if you get into it properly. So, this is definately a 'night in with friends and a pizza' job.
