best drinking game?

Was given this game as a present. It is a drinking game, but best? I don't think it is the best. You need to read the instructions and rules before you've started drinking as they can get you rather confused. Its long winded and you tire of it rather quickly. The tongue twisters are fun to pass around at a party, but leave the game in the box! Far too complex for drunk people!

Needs Better Chips

The Case for the Poker set is good quality and the cards are also good, as expected. The chips however are too thin and light and the dice were also chipped. Overall a good product for the price.

Fantastic party game

We already had a pop quiz board game by the same manufacturer and we enjoy playing that, so I ordered this game for my husband for Christmas. I must admit that when I received it I was unsure how much fun it would be.

We took the game to my in-laws and we had a great laugh playing it. Everyone takes turns to hum tunes from the 1950’s to the 2000’s and the others have to guess the tune - people soon get over the initial embarrassment of humming and it is a great fun game.

It is an advantage if all the players have a broad knowledge of music, but despite the generation gap we managed to play the game successfully and have lots of fun on the way.

I would highly recommend the game for hours of amusement.

Good value

I play regularly with friends and am used to kitchen tables. This table top is a nice addition to our sessions and has gone down well with all players. It can accomodate 8 players, although you will probably be touching shoulders. It's fairly solid in construction. A funny material to be honest - doesn't seem that any wood is involved, just a strong vinyl base material. The covering is nice, and cards glide well on it. The only gripe i have is that as it folds down to a quarter size (which is great for storage by the way) there is a break in the surface when you open it out, and as the construction isn't rock solid, the table doesnt always lie perfectly flat across all four segments. However this isn't the end of the world and can be sorted by a little weight on the offending segment (such as a drink in the drinks holder!). The chips holder takes regular casino size clay chips nicely. It's fairly lightweight as well, and folds to a sensible size - i managed to carry it home from work on the train in rush hour.... all in all a wortwhile buy for the price.

And it gets meaner

Please note that is an expansion to the original Carcassone and cannot be played as a game by itself!!!
While in Carcassone you can claim land, roads, cities and monasteries by placing your characters on the tiles, with the Tower you can claim even more: your opponents' characters. By building towers you can take your opponents' characters hostage and keep them until they take one of your own prisoner and arrange an exchange. The higher the tower the further your hands can wander to imprison your opponents' players.
This leads to changes in tactics and to higher risks in comparison to the original game:
* you will not want to place a character where it stands in danger of being captured. Therefore you will have to forego items to build.
* if you character is taken hostage you will make it your business to take one of your opponents' hostage so you can retrieve your own character
* items your are in the process of building are even less secure, eg. if your character is taken hostage from a piece of land you're building and expanding all can be lost if that particular character is taken hostage.

This makes the game meaner and calls for harsher tactics as the stakes go up. This makes it even more fun. I do feel that playing with the Tower is not so much fun if there are just two of you, as you might end up just going back and forth taking each other hostage. From 4 up the Tower will really have on effect on the course of the game, without focussing solely on hostage taking.

Utterly addictive!

This was the first Wasgij I've done, and it really was brilliant fun to do. I never thought I'd like doing a jigsaw, but Wasgij puzzles are more than just a jigsaw- they're a brainteaser and mini story aswell. The pictures are really detailed and funny, and I especially like the expressions on the people's faces. They look hard, but once you get into them you just won't be able to stop! I agree that the picture on the front is useful, and I would really like to see more Wasgij puzzles out in the coming year.

Brilliant quality.

These poker chips are heavy and the best that i have been able to find anywhere on the net and with a lovely price to go with them. Would strongly recommend to all poker players. Beginner to pro.
