Really clever.

This was bought for use with a compact digital zoom camera. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, light to carry and easy to fix the camera onto. It is practical, durable, flexible and versatile. It can easily be bent into all kinds of shapes to hold the camera just where you want it and fixes on to all kinds of things by twisting the legs around. Just the job if you don't want to carry a standard full-size tripod.

Brilliant Tripod for the Price.

I read many reviews of various tripods before I settled on this one.

There are number points that should be considered before buying.
Tripod height - this is one of the tallest around, also once folded one of the shortest (150.5cm/43.5cm).
Tripod size - once folded this fits easily into my backpack (43.5cm).
Tripod Weight - it is light (0.98 kg).
Ease of Use - simple fold out legs, and height adjustment.
Tripod Head - it is simple and straight forward to use. It can be set up for photographic or video use. This means it will work on three axis or just two. Great for panoramic photos! Simple trigger lock, no three way adjustment to worry about.

The main complaints that I have read are that people think that the tripod is top heavy when using a D/SLR. Well folks, read the fine print, suitable for compact and crossover cameras. 1 Kg is about the most they recommend, and my FZ20 is about 1.5 kg with straps, covers, and full metal hood and UV filter. I have no doubt that it will support the weight, and have even left it standing in moderate wind.

Some tips for use, at the base of the head extension pole is a small plastic knob, unscrew this and it becomes the screwdriver required to mount the camera to the adapter palate. Also there after some use, there is a bit of sloppiness about the extension pole, especially at full height. I have resolved this by wrapping the pole with bands of electrical tape at the heights I use constantly.

Remember you get what you pay for, but I think that this is a bargain. If you are looking for a cheap, tall, light, easily stored and used tripod, then this is for you. If you are using a D/SLR with all the goodies, then maybe you will want to get something more substantial.

Cracking little camera

I got this Camera for my birthday and its superb. The improvement in picture quality and facilities since I bought my only previous digital Camera five years ago has to be seen to be believed.

This is smaller than my previous Camera has more facilities, and requires half the number of batteries. The basic settings are:
Auto
Movie
Landscape
Portrait
Digital Zoom
Red Eye Reduction
Picture Stabilization
Baby Mode

To be honest Auto and Movie are the only two I've used. The movie facility (with sound) is unlimited within the limitations of the memory card. The 1GB card provided will give you almost 1/2 an hour of video. The picture quality is very good and its easy to link to your PC. With the benefit of photo software even the most average picture can be cropped to look good.

Another excellent feature of this Camera is the large viewing screen (54mm x 40mm).

A great little Camera that does everything I need.

Fantastic Value

I took a long time choosing a tripod for my Canon HV20 camcorder, and based on much research, settled on the Velbon DV-7000. I was not to be disappointed!

This tripod is simply amazing, especially when the price is so reasonable for the features included.

It has an extremely smooth pan and tilt head with fluid joints, both with adjustable friction controls. The bubble level in the top is very useful to make sure it's mounted level. The vertical rack winder is smooth and well engaged, and the whole unit feels very sturdy indeed. The leg brace fits well, and the legs open wide enough to keep the unit stable whether fully extended or not. No shake, no flex. Large mounting pad, and buying a second pad is relatively inexpensive (only comes with one).

This small, compact and very light tripod is easy to use and easy to carry.Excelent.

Light but beautifully engineered

This head is a work of art! The weight is very low, but it feels solidly built and includes a spirit level to help get your camera level. It is very compact as the handles are short, but they tighten well and don't appear to allow any slippage. The only downside is the relatively low maximum weight (3kg) but for a SLR body and short/medium lens this shouldn't be a problem.
