It's not cheap, admittedly, but then neither are Manfrotto tripods - I took the view that having spent £160 on a quality tripod/head, the least I could do was to ensure that it was well protected. Being padded, there is absolutely no chance that the tripod is going to suffer any impact damage, caused by drops, knocks etc. The bag also has an adjustable carrying strap, meaning you can sling it over one shoulder.
If you like nice things, and like to keep them protected and looking their best, you ought to consider this bag!

Worth Buying!
The MBAG80P is quite simply, the best way of protecting your Manfrotto 050 (or similar) tripod - without exception.It's not cheap, admittedly, but then neither are Manfrotto tripods - I took the view that having spent £160 on a quality tripod/head, the least I could do was to ensure that it was well protected. Not steady
This is a very inexpensive tripod that has such superb features for the low price: quick-release platform, 3D pan & tilt head, spirit level, ruber feet, carrying handle. Its also very light and the legs are separately adjustable.The biggest problem however is the steadiness. This tripod is NOT steady enough and especially not when you wind up the column for some extra hight. Your camera gets a little wobbly then. If you can use a remote control to shoot, the tripod will suffice (and as long as there is not too much wind and the surface is steady too). If you are planning to use the tripod more often, perhaps take a look at other models that are more steady.
