Review for Eva Solo Spoons & Spatula & Whisk Set:
There is a small circular silver base that holds all the utensil upright, looks fantastic. But for this price, I would expect a stainless steel base, but it's not. Just silver plastic.
Oh, the black utensil gets scratched very easily. There are kind of white scratch lines (probably scratched by other utensil while I was washing them).
In summary, it's a beautiful set of utensil that looks fantastic (excellent for studio flat or open plan kitchen) and it's only suitable for occassional cooking. Not recommended for everyday cooking if you want to preserve the look. I wouldn't pay this price for a set of utensil but got it as xmas present, so I can't complain.

Beautiful Set.
I got this Eva set as a Chrismas present last year (2006) and have been using it for the last 3 months. I have to admit the set looks really good on my black worktop (my 3 years old son called it 'the flower') and next to my stainless steel hob. The spoon is actually quite deep and easy to use. The whisk is like any standard whisk, other than it's safe to use on non-stick pots/pan. The spatula is good for flipping burger or steak. But I prefer an slightly angle spatula for cooking, so I usually use my Le Creuset silicone spatula (it's an amazing product).There is a small circular silver base that holds all the utensil upright, looks fantastic. A VERY Well Named and USEFUL Product
The `Le Creuset' Multimat is a superbly versatile item, making itone of the better multi-tasking kitchen tools available.
As per the manufacturer's claim, its purpose is four-fold:-
a) Use instead of a trivet for stable kitchen surface heat
protection.
b) Use under a chopping board or a mixing bowl as an
anti-skid device, for extra safety.
c) Use instead of an oven glove.
d) Can be used as an aid to open those stubborn jar lids.
In a variety of colours to mix or match with any kitchen colour
scheme, or just pop it in a drawer - it takes up so little space!
The `Le Creuset' Multimat is a ridged circular heat resistant
silicone mat of approx 8"/20.5cm diameter which is also
dishwasher safe.
I find it particularly useful for stabilising a bowl when
whisking the cream for 'Nigella's Instant Chocolate Mousse', keeping a carving dish steady when carving the meat and prising off that stubborn new jam jar lid!
