"The original men in black!"

Hasbro's second wave for the 30th Anniversary includes this excellent figure of the Death Star Trooper. The last time this was released was way back in 1998 in the very rare last wave on the Kenner label and this issue is a great improvement over its predecessor.
The figure is incredibly poseable, with multiple points of articulation and comes equipped with the trooper's signature style helmet and a black E-11 rifle.
The figure also comes with a silver coin which is for the album that comes with figure #1: Darth Vader.
A great trooper and a must for all those army builders out there!

"I can't see a thing in this rain!"

Hasbro continue to celebrate Star Wars' 30th Anniversary with another figure from the Clone Wars animated series in the shape of #50: Hawkbat Battalion Clone Trooper.
Based upon the 2003 Clone Wars super articulated Clone Trooper, this one has been updated to feature a removable helmet while still retaining the poseability of the previous release. The trooper has head, shoulder, elbow, wrist, waist, hip, knee and ankle articulation.
The trooper comes with a removable helmet, a brown cloth poncho and a heavy assault blaster rifle. There is some great paint detailing on both the trooper's boots and poncho. There is also a silver collector's coin that goes in the album with figure #1: Darth Vader.
A very nice Clone Trooper and a must have for all those army builders out there.

"The hardworking Droids of the lava rivers."

Hasbro kick off their first releases of 2008's Complete Saga collection with a wave of figures from Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith. The next figure in the line is #08: Mustafar Panning Droid.
This is the first time this droid has been released and is an obvious accompaniment to the 2005 Revenge Of The Sith Mustafar Final Duel playset.
Droids usually have limited poseability due to their structure but this one has several joints and Hasbro have done a great job with the detailing. There are figure stands on its head so you can balance Vader on it.
The droid has 4 arms which rotate all the way round and they are attached to a shielded limb which also rotates.
There is a lava bucket which the forearms plug into so it can carry it away. Also included is a repulsorlift platform with figure stands so you can put Obi-Wan onto it. This plugs into an orange lava effect base and the droid's legs can be turned so that it holds the lava bucket behind itself and pushes the platform. The front legs plug into two holes in the lava base for this pose.
There is also personalised figure stand which is the same design that we had in the 2006 The Saga Collection line.
A very nice droid and a must have for the Mustafar Final Duel playset or to go with this wave's #01 and #02, Obi-Wan and Vader.

"I saw the future Master."

Hasbro continue to celebrate their 30th Anniversary with their first batch of figures from the Clone Wars animated series. The third of the three is Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker with the tattoos that he painted upon himself after he had visions in the caves of Nelvaan.
The figure is a good likeness for Hayden Christensen and it's quite poseable with head, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip and knee joints.
Anakin's right arm is removable and you can attach a severed stump for a battle damaged look and he is armed with his blue lightsabre.
There is also a silver collector's coin which goes in the album you get with #1: Darth Vader.
A good figure and a must have for the Clone Wars collection.
