Perfect for movies and games!

Best value for money if you just want to watch movies/dvds or play games. Very light, small and bright picture. Not recommended for using it to work as a gigantic screen for working on the computer, because the text gets fuzzy when not in native resolution.

But why is this keeping getting more expensive? The first time I saw it on here it was £235, bought it for £245 and now it's £275???

I got this set via Amazon prime with the discounted stand and wall bracket.

I did quite a bit of research before purchase and looked at a number of TVs in shops before making my choice. There is so much choice and so much data to compare the decision was not easy but I have had Samsung before and never had a problem. One shop was selling this exact same model for £300 more than I paid!

For me this TV hits the sweetspot between price/brand/quality. In store I compared it directly against Sonys, Panasonics and others and this set not only looks better stylistically but performs better as well.

As other reviewers have commented, the sound is probably average to good but the screen is awesome. The olympics look great on BBC HD!

The 6/7 series (this is a 5 series) are supposed to be better but I could not see a huge difference and bearing in mind the shelf life of TVs these days and the pace of innovation I see no reason to pay any more than this. It has all the connections you will ever need and Full HD resolution.

Polaroid TLU-03723BU - 37" Definia Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview - Black

My five year old could have set this TV up!! I literally took it from the box, put the leads in the various holes and it proogrammed itself........Since we have had the TV, everyone who has visited has commented on the picture clarity (I have found in the past that the bigger the screen, the"fuzzier" the pic but not so with this one). It is strong and robust without taking up much room. Would recommend to anybody looking for a clear, dependable TV.

Samsung 22" How God thus bless us all !

Oh goodness me ! I have had a 20 inch Alba for the last 10 years and it has started to go Pink on one side and that isnt a Euphemism saying its turned a little gay !
no no the Tv started getting a strange pink colour on one side and it was becoming annoying !
So I ordered this TV ! The SAMSUNG 22 INCH ! widescreen and my God it delivers everything a man could want all served up on a Huge tray with beef and gravy and sauce and roast lamb and sugar lumps and sausages and chocolate dessert with sprinkles ! MY GOD ITS GREAT .

So I got the Tv on time ( thanks delivery driver ) . One thing that was a bummer was the set up time . It actualy required me to read the instructions. WAHT" i hear you cry , yes yes I had to read something .. it was no plug and play episode like last of the summer wine which is not on at the moment but who cares.
I had to read how to get the digiview thing to work . I had to press a button on the remote called" dTV" MY GOD i believe its the best button I have ever pressed in my entire life. ( I shall explain why )

.. its 1993 my parents by me a Tv for the first time . it has 4 channels .. I cant believe my luck . A TV WITH CHANNELS ! 4 ! I cried myself to sleep that night knowing that my life would never be the same again . no more MR men books for me .. oh no . it would be Murder she wrote followed by Love Joy on a sunday . Then in later years Channel 5's Porn nights would provide me with much needed Material through my teenage years. That TV served me well !

ok anyway .. the DIGIview has soo many different channels it amazing . just absolutely amazing !.

I have My TV hooked up as a 2nd PC monitor . a DVD player . an XBOX 360 seeing device . and as an orniment in my room .

I would recoment it TBH omg wp Samsung . WP indeed .

Stylish, good quality and easy to use

I was after a nice LCD TV for the bedroom which wasn't black, that was quite good and didn't cost me a fortune... Well I found it!
Very stylish, it looks great but it does the job well too. Extremely easy to set-up, it's all automatic and you just need to press the Ok button few times, great picture and quite good sound too really. Also, menu are quite intuitive at least compared to other brands... which is a plus! Freeview is as good as with a set-top box and connectivity is very good. I've got to try it with my Xbox... :)
So overall extremely pleased especially if you think about the price is currently on sale for! Very good value for the money spent. Oh, delivery from Amazon was fast as usual and without problem.

hd good

i bought this tv few weeks ago,hd is stunning but standard def pictures arent that great.iam watching with virgin media v+box trough hdmi at 1080i, i have also tried 720p, there seems to be some smearing and text is very blurry ,i have tried loads of different settings but i cant seem to get the picture right.can anyone help.

Great Little TV

We purchased this TV recently and have been very pleased, great picture, clear sound. Perhaps the best feature is the Steady Sound feature that stops the volume shooting up during the advert breaks, well done Sony for finally offering a solution to this annoying aspect of commercial television other than reaching for the volume button during every advert break.

The only downside is that it is not wall mountable, but we knew this in advance so not a problem for us, but others may want to bear this in mind before buying it.

If only Amazon could sort out their delivery programme

Excellent product. Crap delivery. Paid for next day before 1pm, at 12:30 thought I would check on the status, delivered to a Citylink branch with no attempt to deliver to my house, no phone call to say it wasn't coming so half a Saturday ruined. Finally got it on the Tuesday. Disappointing service and will only use Amazon in future if the purchase is a bargain that can't be matched.

Very Impressed

The Sony KDL 20S3030 came today and was so easy to set up. This is my first personal experience with LCD television. The Sony is a replacement for an old CRT tv that lived in the kitchen. The 20 inch size is perfect. I am very impressed with this Sony's ability to pick up digital channels so well as I am in a notoriously bad digital reception area.
In fact the picture is SO good it now makes my Panasonic CRT in the sitting room a poor second, even with Satellite reception. My only and very little niggle is that the back of this lovely white TV is, in fact, black. Sound on this unit is very good.

Full marks to Amazon also for efficiently processing my order and keeping me informed of dispatches, etc. And the price was £100 cheaper than what I could buy this TV for locally.

- Sound settings needs fiddling with for it to sound 'right' (I suggest the 'Cinema' setting from the Audio menu.)
- I found the auto brightness/contrast pretty annoying - this can be turned off by changing 'Fresh Contrast' to off in the Picture -> Advanced options, however this will reset if you change the AV Mode.

Sony KDL-26U3000 - 26'' Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview

We had the misfortune of my old JVC CRT TV which weighed a tonne to stop working just before Christmas, which was not really what we wanted. So we searched around for a replacement and came up with the Sony Bravia KDL-26U3000. The build quality is excellent and looks superb either switched on or just switched off. The colours are amazing and as with Sony TVs the black is really black giving excellent contrast and sharpness, when the TV is off this is apparent as you can just see how dark the screen is rather than that greyness some TV's have. So far we have connected Sky, DVD RAM recorder by Scart lead giving excellent picture quality, along with and old PS2 by component lead which gives a better picture and sharpness than standard Scart or leads supplied by Sony originally. You can label or rename your inputs with 4 letter rather than just AV1 etc, so you can have HDMI, PS2, SAT, DVD etc making selecting inputs a lot simpler .The Digital / Freeview tuner has given excellent picture results, using a non digital aerial, just amplified by a powered booster; along with its own built in menu display and favourites menu you can select you own list of favourite channels. Sound wise it's pretty good, but we have it connected to a Teac Stereo, as this just gives a richer sound than the standard TV speakers. Looking forward to trying a PS3 by HDMI sometime to see what it really can do picture wise. All in all this is a great TV, you feel you get your monies worth, with the build quality, feel and look of the TV, and after all it is a Sony. We have a 22 inch LG, which is excellent for the price, but lacks a little as it just seems not in a league of the Bravia's build although it in itself performs excellent as a TV, it just looks cheaper whereas the Bravia is like a piece of quality furniture and an excellent TV all in one. So if you're looking for a great TV you will not be disappointed with this one.

Do not trust the 3 star review on this page... They are not the most observant of people!!! This TV is amazing! I can't believe there aren't more reviews - Is anyone buying it?!?! It's an absolute steal at this price! You will not be disappointed - especially if you have a blu-ray/ps3/360 - It shines!!!!
