22 hrs after ordering this tv online it is now installed and fully operational, no doubt I will be able to tweak the settings when I am more familiar with the remote,autotuned on minutes around 76 channels on an old roof top aerial.Delivery was as stated following day,hope this set gives us several years enjoyment.

A 32" Sony for £450 - Bargain

For months I've been trying to decide which LCD to purchase, but having researched the area heavily I was no nearer a decision. For my budget of £450, I couldn't decide which was the best 26" TV to get. Then, wandering round a well-known supermarket, I saw this 32" Sony for under £450. The price immediately grabbed my attention, and looking at the picture, I was impressed by the way it handled Standard Definition TV. The sound was also good - admittedly, it doesn't compare to a dedicated surround sound system, but it's one of the best sounding TV's I've ever owned.

To get the Sony Brand name at such a bargain price is amazing - I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Wow what can I say,

Ordered TV on Saturday and was delivered Tuesday morning as promised (owing to no dispatch on Sunday).

Stand takes about 2 minutes to set up. TV auto-tunes in about 2 minutes also. The TV looks great, nice classic sophisticated look, and the 37" is a very good size, like having a cinema in my room.

The quality of the Bravia engine's imaging is astounding. Watched a bbc wildlife documentary last night and the colours of the tigers and vegitation were unbelievable (I have backlight, colour, and contrast all cranked up to 100%). It looked very clear, smooth, and with no judder, considering it was Freeview in a bad signal area. Noise reduction-high really helps improve your signal, and the built-in receiver is much stronger than my external Philips box was.

Have my PS3 hooked up via a £30 HDMI cable and the image is stunning, hi-def, great colours, smooth. Of course the PS3 has a built-in blu-ray player and these look simply stunning, although you have to play around with your visual settings to get the best image. The remote is a good remote unlike with some other makes.

Sound quallity is very good considering the size of the 2 built-in speakers. The Viva BBE is my mode of choice, with powerful detailed sounds. I have a powerful sound system which I have not bothered hooking up to this TV.

I have had this TV for a day and am very pleased so far. I can't believe how amazon can sell this tv for £525, as it is actually worth £750. Sony Centre couldn't believe it either. the 32" version got a 5-star rating from march's what hi-fi?, beating other brands such as Panasonic. This is the same TV but a much better size, including all the same Bravia technology. If you are looking for an 'entry level' (this is anything but entry level in comparison to cheaper makes, but is not 1080p) 37" TV, look no further, this TV excels in every department and will not disappoint you. Great buy.

First class TV

Received my 32D3000 a few weeks ago now, and have been very happy.

Installation:
Very quick setup. TV already attached to stand.
As soon as I turned it on, it knew this was a first setup. Chose language quickly and was asked if I wanted to auto-setup, which I said yes. 5 minutes later all Analogue and Digital signals tuned in.

Setup:
Menu was easy to navigate, fast, and not too complex options; changing options to test TV setup was simple. Tried a few settings over the weeks to find a good balance on the TV. Used someone else's settings here on Amazon and was very happy. There ar some features that I turned off (backlight changing to room light).

Picture:
I knew that a SD signal is not going to be as good as on a CRT, but this is as close as dammit. Cannot fault picture. Even football, rugby, horse racing and cycling (handy they have all been on in recent weeks) show without any blur at all. I didn't expect it to be THAT good! I use mine with Virgin Cable, but Digital through the aerial was also fine. No dead pixels that I have found.

Sound:
Sounds great! Everything is clear.


Films look incredible, and that's from a regular DVD.
This TV makes everything seem more 3D! I even saw an old Friends episode on E4, and it seemed more real than when viewed on a CRT. I don't know why. It's really like it's in your room than on TV!

Regular TV (SD signal) has absolutely no problems on this TV.
I have still to try the VGA cable with a computer.
I also have not tried HDMI as I have no HDMI sources.

Definately would recommend!

Good bedroom TV buts its no Sony

This is a good all round TV and good size for a bedroom. I've only given it three stars because of Samsungs poor customer service. Three weeks later after buying this TV it developed a fault, fine I accept this happens to all good TV's. I had to return it to Samsung direct, after 61 days of Samsung incompetence, 10+ phone calls (including 10 broken promises to ring back) and a lot of anger I received a new TV after they admitted it wasn't repairable.

In this time I had borrowed a 20 inch Sony to which I realised the picture quality was far superior.
My verdict: Good value for money, hope it doesn't go wrong, there is better if you need it

An amazing product!

Having not experienced the benefits of HD television and LCD screens before, i decided it was time to invest some money in a small TV for my bedroom. A well rounded product, recieves amazing quality of TV signals and well worth the extra £80ish when compared with other makers of the 20" screen size market!

Versatile LCD TV with excellent picture quality

Bought this TV from Amazon after much research in Department stores and recommendation from the Gadget Show. Very happy with the set,excellent picture quality with good array of inputs on the back. The built in Freeview tuner appears to be more sensitive than my Human Tuner. Two nice features worth noting are: 1. Ability to set the timer for a connected Panasonic DVD recorder from the TV EPG. Very handy! 2. Ability to connect a PC/laptop. I connected my laptop and was able to use it to play movies and video podcasts from Itunes. Overall very pleased

Clouding Issue

I was initially highly impressed with this TV. That was until I adopted my favourite viewing position, which is lying on the floor in front of the TV. Viewed from slightly below, the picture is much darker and any dark areas in the image which is being viewed appear matt black / cloudy. I now understand this problem is known as mura. However if if you view from your armchair you will be well satisfied.

virgin tv or sky picture

I got my tv about 8 months ago my first one I had the remote control and the tv didnt responded to each other. My second tv Iam having problems with watching tv on my virgin + box I keep getting the digital lines goning down the screen. Ive turned them off in the settings but you still can see them. Ive got it connected by hdmi cable still getting the same issue.
Ive know connected it buy hd component and it is a perfect picture.

When I watch dvd's on my samsung hd dvd player it is fantastic. I would advised anyone who is thinking about getting this tv to get it. But I do advise you to get the samsung hd dvd player to.

Ditto Jimmy d's review.free view is as good/better than my old Toshiba 3339DB. free view channel guide is very much like sky easy to use and well laid out.PS3 looks amazing(son in laws) Pro street,Resistance,Fifa 08 connected via HDMI and optical out from TV to Amp Dts on pro street lampposts hitting rear speakers ect, no judder at 1080p,(Packaging box is sealed with Toshiba branded Tape) all in all a wise purchase, price, picture,performance will be hard to beat,as for Amazon well done delivery 17 hrs from order to front door tracked all the way.

Great TV from a TV Hater!!!!

I reluctantly got a TV for my little girl as I had been without one for over a year!!! Got used to the peace and quiet which was lovely.... however eventually gave in to this model and I have absolutely no complaints. For the price this is an excellent deal. My cousin has a Sony, and in my opinion, this is almost as good for half the price. Go buy one! ;-)

Sony makes it easy

Just plug it in, and the TV sorts all the analogue and digital channels for you. Picture is great - we typically watch from about 3m away. Hiding the shopping channels took a bit of time, but as long as you read all through the manual, it's all there. Very pleased so far!

I ordered this TV on the 25th of February (1am+), recieved it on the 27 of February (12.00am) with Express Delivery. First of all I'd like to thank amazon for a great delivery service! I couldn't have asked for better.

The TV itself is a great buy for the money. With the amount of ports on the back to the screen resolution and contrast ratio... you really can't ask for much more. Another nice feature for this TV is 1080p, a great fuction for PS3 gamers, (although not all games run at 1080p, it's nice to see it when they do!) I currently have my Freeview Box, PS3, PS2 and PC, without having to change any connection, which is bliss. No hassel with no problems, the stand only took a few minutes to set up too.

If anyone is considering this TV as a purchase, then I'd highly recommend! You probably won't find a TV like this with the high spec it maintains anywhere else. Well done Samsung and Amazon!

Bravo ! - for Sony Bravia 23"

Isn't it difficult to know what tv to buy these days, especially if you're a non-techy like me ? Anyway I plumped for this Sony - an excellent service from Amazon by the way - and can't praise it too highly. Arrived today, and first thing I noticed was how light it was taking it out of the box. Very easy to set up, went without a hitch, not like the old days. Good to see that you can vary the bass/trebble on the sound (about time this was included) and there is also an option to keep sound 'constant', ie to stop that annoying way in which the volume is increased for advertisements and trailers (an infringement that should be outlawed).
By the way the 'mocha' colour of this model seems to be a shade of grey..
So all in all this seems to be an excellent buy and I would recommend it highly judging by my first impressions.

HD Ready? - I'll never know!

After much trepidation I decided to ditch my old faithful CRT TV in favour of a new HD Ready LCD.

When I saw the deal on Amazon to get a Toshiba with a free glass stand at a very reasonable price, I thought I'd take the plunge.

The free glass stand arrived within 2 days and the TV turned up the following day - and what a handsome TV it is, lots of connection options, easy to follow instruction manual and well packaged.

This is as far as my review can go as despite following the set up guide to the tee, the TV was unable to display a picture. Just a vague greyness emitted from the screen. I unconnected, reconnected, unconnected and re-reconneted everything until I was blue in the face - not a dicky bird or hint of a picture. I have a fair amount of experience with setting up and maintaining electronic equipment, but this counted for nothing when the TV provided was broken to start with.

Disappointing doesn't even come close. I thought Toshiba would be a household name one could trust, even going so far as to buy a matching Toshiba DVD player with upscaling - but seeing as though thats only compatible via HDMI I can't even test it via my old television. D'oh!

Avoid buying this TV and - if you can - purchase a TV from a high street store where you can complain in person rather than via email, which I'm currently having to do with Toshiba/Amazon.

If/when a replacement turns up, I may be able to give an honest review of this television's performance, but until then - nil point!

Awsome TV

I was not sure whether to get this or the model S, but a quick review of features on the Sony website (when are you going to allow Comparison on Amazon to save me leaving your website and risk me buying elsewhere guys??) revealed the T had a much better spec for very little extra.

The picture is fantastic and the sounds great too. I am a Sony fan but when they keep producing such good products why would I go elsewhere?

Sony Future-proof TV.

I recently bought this television having had to replace my old 28 inch widescreen tv. Digital pictures are stunning and DVD just as good. We did our research and compared screens - the Sony had the best picture by far. Normal sound is better than some reviews but I have a Sony 5.1 system. If you can, get the Bravia Theatre compatible surround system. Have not got any HD or Blue Ray devices yet but looking to upgrade to Sky HD soon. If you want a quality picture that will last a few years this is the one to go for. Easy to set up and, unlike some HD Tvs will actually auto change to sky. Two very minor quibbles - seems to take a while (ok 2 seconds) to change channels and its now £100 cheaper than I paid three weeks ago.

Panasonic tv TX26LXD70

Brilliant service from Amazon. Ordered on the Monday, arrived Wednesday morning. I have no problem recommending the TV & Amazon. I am currently running the TV off an ariel in the loft and the picture quality it still great. Very easy to set up, does it all for you, takes around 3 mins and continues to autoscan and save new channels as they are broadcast.
