Review for Acer AL2216W 22" Monitor - Silver - 700:1 - 300 cd/m2 - 1680x1050 - 5ms:
A bit washed out
Brought this to upgrade my 20inch GNR monitor and have two monitor set up. In comparison to the GNR the Acer colours look washed out no matter how I set it. Still using the GNR for most things as the screen is much better. My opinion is the Acer is an OK monitor but not outstanding.105

Great companion
I have incurable renal cancer and bought this little TV to keep me company as I am spending longer confined to bed. It is terrific - but the supplied aerials in the area I live in (south Hertfordshire) are all but useless. However, connection to the house aerial resulted in an excellent picture, and I delight in the ability to play DVDs, CDs and even movies saved on USB memory sticks as AVIs. The picture quality is first class for such a small unit - my wife, who rarely notices these things, even commented on it. If I were to make any complaint it would be that it doesn't allow a slide show with music - but then that is what digital photo frames are for, isn't it? And I have yet to find a way to speed up the display of pictures in a slide show....106
Review for August 10.2" Digital Freeview and Analogue TV with Sharp 16:9 TFT LCD Widescreen:
Tested to connect the TV to my laptop as a monitor, works ok and VGA is quite useful while connecting to the computer.
Only downside of the TV is the sound is not quite powerful due the speakers are at back, but it is acceptably enough for a TV of this size.

Review for August 10.2" Digital Freeview and Analogue TV with Sharp 16:9 TFT LCD Widescreen:
Excellent Service and Product
Ordered 3pm yesterday, arrived early morning today just after 17 hours. The first impression was that the TV looks nice and cute. Plugged to power socket and home TV aerial, scanned 65 Freeview and digital radios channels within 2 minutes. TV pictures are very clear with good resolution. Lost a few channels when plugged to the included portable aerial, understand this is due to signal issue as my home in Herts is not good for reception coverage, but the analogue channels works fine with the small aerial.Tested to connect the TV to my laptop as a monitor, works ok and VGA is quite useful while connecting to the computer.
Only downside of the TV is the sound is not quite powerful due the speakers are at back, but it is acceptably enough for a TV of this size.

Review for Easycom MEC2700DVBT 39cm (15") Kitchen LCD IDTV with Multi-region DVD Player (+Built in Freeview):
The first problem was in fixing the tv to the underside of the kitchen cabinet.I had to drill four holes through the cabinet(brand new by the way) and then had four long protuding screws sticking up into the cabinet. Surely with a product this expensive a better design could have been available for fixing. However this was a minor issue compared with the quality of the picture and sound. The picture only offered one reasonable vantage point, sit to one side and the picture deteriorated.
The adjustment menu was so limited as to be meaningless. The sound quality was irritatingly tinny-again the adjustment menu could do nothing to improve this. I initially thought that the problems might be with the quality of my imput signal etc.but having contacted the retailer from whom I brought the product, their engineer installed one in his shop and the results were just the same. My money was immediately refunded.I then purchased an orthodox branded 19in flat screen tv for two thirds of the price wich works perfectly.
Do not buy this tv!

Review for Gadmei TV5830 XGA/VGA LCD TV BOX With Build In FM + Play Video Games On Crt & TFT Monitors:
I already have a TV Tuner card in my PC and this played my SNES with some lag (roughly 1 second). However, the Gadmei box plays it perfectly. The graphics are slightly blurred if you sit close to your monitor, but if you are a reasonable distance away (i.e. 3/4 the length of the controller) then it is comparable to a TV.
With the SNES playing well, I tried the PS2. You may notice that the PS2 has three pins, yellow (video) and red/white (for audio), however the Gadmei's corresponding inputs are red, white, blue, pink and green. After connecting the red/white inputs, all you have to do here is plug the yellow PS2 input into the Gadmei's green input and choose 'Video' as the source and all is well. I tested a few games and there is no lag present at all, however the same graphics issue from the SNES applies to the PS2 (just a mild annoyance, nothing more and non-existant from a distance).
For the sake of this review I did try the TV Tuner, and I found this to be a bit fuzzy and not a good substitute for a TV. However, I have a Hauppauge HVR-1300 which performs the job as a TV Tuner perfectly.
Regarding your PC, you can easily toggle between PC/Console just by using the power button on the remote. Also, this box only uses VGA, so if you have a DVI-only video card, you will need to get a DVI-VGA adaptor. Assuming you already have a VGA-VGA cable (male/female) you do not need to purchase any cables to fully use this product.
There is also a 'pip' feature, which allows you to play a console/watch TV in a small box on your desktop whilst working, but as toggling between the two inputs is an ease, I do not find myself using this feature.
All in all, this box is perfect for connecting any sort of consoles (ancient ones that use aerial input and newer ones with AV input) and using your PC at the same time, but users may have to sacrifice DVI input. People wanting a product solely for TV purposes may want to look elsewhere however. Based on my experience with my interal TV-Tuner card, I would reocomment Hauppauge.

Review for Gadmei TV5830 XGA/VGA LCD TV BOX With Build In FM + Play Video Games On Crt & TFT Monitors:
Perfect for what I needed, but maybe lacking for others.
First of all I was pleasantly surprised to see how small the box was, measuring only 14.5 x 10 (approx). I planned to use this for my Super Nintendo (via aerial input) and Playstation2.I already have a TV Tuner card in my PC and this played my SNES with some lag (roughly 1 second). However, the Gadmei box plays it perfectly. The graphics are slightly blurred if you sit close to your monitor, but if you are a reasonable distance away (i.e. 3/4 the length of the controller) then it is comparable to a TV.

Review for Toshiba 32AV505DB - 32" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview:
Sleek, minimalist design is perfect for a medium-sized living room. Set up was easy and the picture looks great through my V+ box.I fiddled about with the settings (found the default was a little too bright) but after a few minutes I had a really good picture.
Here's a quick rundown of the different sources I have tried:
PS3 - Have this running at 1080i and it looks amazing. Very clear and even though there's no 100Hz/24fps on this Tosh TV, it handles motion in games brilliantly. Colours stay sharp and there's no juddering at all. Tried a range of games including COD4, GT5p, PES and Burnout and all played superbly. I made sure RGB was set to Full on my PS3 and was very impressed with the blacks and contrast.
V+ - I recommend that you turn the sharpness down a little from the default settings, but otherwise SD pictures look great, especially on Setanta and BBC channels. Again, motion for sports such as football (I watched the French Cup Final between Lyon and PSG to test) is great, with no blurring - everything remains crystal clear.
DVDs - Anime looks fantastic upscaled on my PS3, as did Deathproof (even though it's shot with a 70s 'grainy' filter). Haven't tried a Blu Ray yet, but I'm sure it will look really good.
All in all a great TV. I'd been procrastinating for ages about which HDTV to buy, and I'm glad I finally went for the Toshiba 32AV505DB. The remote is well laid out and responsive, though the one thing I will say it that it is a dust-magnet! A small price to pay though.
A highly recommended HDTV, especially for the price (under £400 with a bit of looking and online voucher codes).

Review for Samsung LE26R87 - 26" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview - Black:
The TV itself is great, albeit the freeview as mentioned can be grainy and the response time of the remote is slow. However watching tv through the sky+ digibox is as good a picture as my old panansonic CRT once we got the settings sorted out, which can be fiddly, and the gamer mode in HD for the XBOX 360 is incredible - Call of Duty 4 is scary!!
Overall a great little TV and for the money as good as anything around - we did our research.

Sony KDL-40X3000
I spent a lot of time on the internet researching my next Sony and I'm glad I settled on the 40X3000. The picture quality on 1080p is absolutely stunning, even using out of the box settings. You can fine tune it to suit your own particular preferences depending on what input you're watching. The number of inputs was a big plus for me, 3 x HDMI which means Sky HD, Xbox 360 and Sony DAV-IS 10 all have HDMI connections.
Amazon force you to use their"White Glove" delivery service for this and if I'm honest I was a bit shocked to find out that this was with Home Delivery Network. I shouldn't have worried though, I received a phone call 48 hours before delivery giving me a 4 hour window and also a call from the driver 45 minutes before they arrived.
