DYSON DC22 A new bouncing baby from Dyson

Just got it today,
VERY EASY TO USE.

VERY LIGHT WEIGHT its around 5 kilograms but you dont need to hold on to it.
Beautiful design of machine and package, (whom ever packs them must be a mensa genius, you will see why when you buy one).
VERY SMALL dyson design, very cute, and space saving too.
VERY USEFUL and tiny you could carry it in your school/college/kit/gym-bag.
VERY HARD...
VERY QUIET, unbelievably compared to the old models.
Comes with a good range of attachments.
MADE IN MALAYSIA.
It needs VERY LITTLE STORAGE SPACE when not in use.
So there is no need to hide it in a cupboard it really is a work of art, you could put it on DISPLAY AS A SCULPTURE.

Only gripes and they are very minor.
It heats up a lot which is a very nice feature (its something to do with the laws of energy).
And no ON!!! switch on the handle, Mr Dyson if you read this wifi the power button WIFI IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And finally.
I just cant wait for the next installment from Dyson. But for now I'm off to do some Dysoning and put this BABY to the real test a teenager like bedroom eek!!!!!!!!

I would not recomend this product

I would not recomend this hoover, although it looks really cute from picture, it is not very strong and it broke within a couple of days. It doesn't make much of a noise so my son soon got bored of this. We have since replaced this hoover with an ELC Supervac which is brilliant.

Nice design, shame about the suction

I had high hopes for this flexi crevice tool but it turned out to be quite a disappointment when in action. Although one can use this tool to reach narrow corners and under the bed, not much dust and dirt can actually be extracted without constantly de-clogging the brush head. Quite a bit of the suction is also lost from joints between the flexi plastic tube and the rigid plastic tube; as well as between the tool itself and the dyson.

Delighted with Sebo 4x

I have just purchased a Sebo 4x vacuum cleaner and I am delighted with it
very easy to use the dusting brush also good on hard floors and the long lead is very useful.

vax rapide spruce carpet washer

this is brilant .very fast delivery and i couldn't wait to try it .i have got a old one but it was to heavy for me at 63 .i managed to get it set up and working in a hour and my living room carpet looks wonderful and so much easier to use . my old one is going in the loft .i can recommend it .

Back breaking

I bought the hard floor tool to use with my DC07.

On the plus side it cleans my laminate floors really well and easily fits under my kitchen cupboards and around tables and chairs. However, I have 2 complaints. Firstly, it is a poor fit on the end of the wand - it falls off after a couple of minutes use and needs reattached. Quite annoying. My major complaint is the angle of the tool. I find I have to bend quite low or it doesn't make good contact with the floor. (I'm only 5'2" and it is probably worse for taller people.) The angle of the joint with the wand need to be sharper.

Using this floor tool has made me realise that in fact I'm better off with a cylinder hoover rather than an upright. So I have now dumped the Dyson in favour of a Miele and am very pleased with it.

I love it!!!

I bought this to replace a two year old Bissell model (which still works; it is just going to reside upstairs now) and am totally impressed with the improvements in design that have been made.

One of the most irritating issues I had with the old machine was that the hose fell off from time to time - not a big problem, but irritating none the less. This has been solved by the addition of a catch. A further improvement has been made to the design of the hard floor attachment - to the extent that it is now fit for purpose. Instead of leaving the floor really wet and not really doing a good job of cleaning, the attachment now leaves the floor pretty dry and, because it picks up more of the dirty water, it is cleaner too!

It is so easy to clean this machine in comparison to previous models - all of the front section can be removed easily (one screw to undo) so that there is no problem removing fluff under the tap. The best addition to the design however is a carrying handle - so much easier to move around the house now.

A minor gripe - I don't know why the gadget that indicated when you had run out of formula/water has been removed from this model. I found that rather useful, but the benefits of this machine far outweigh this small drawback.

I really cannot recommend Bissell carpet cleaners highly enough. The old machine has kept my ivory carpets clean even with traffic from five cats that love to get muddy paws. This one will also do the same for my tiled kitchen floor in addition to the downstairs carpets. I love the new design so much I might even upgrade to this model for upstairs as well....

On ebay much cheaper

Ive just ordered mine so havnt got a review to write about its performance yet but this item is on sale on ebay for £45 and £10 delivery. Bargain!

Does what it says

I saw this on Amazon and thought why not. We have a Dyson (DC14 Animal), and so an extra attachment to add functionality sounded good. Basically it's similar to an attachment we already had, but is about 3 times wider. So it sucks up more in less time. When changing the sheets I thought I'd try it out on our matress and protective cover. They appeared cleaner after passing over (but it's hard to tell with grey/beige), and you could see more dust in the Dyson, so it must have done something!

I wouldn't say it's a must have, as you could do the same with the standard accessory (taking much longer). It's good to see you can get these bits at reasonable prices - and since they fit all Dysons you could lend it to friends/family to use as well.

Great value - it's a pack of 3 kits, not just one.

I purchased this set because it's genuine VAX and I didn't want to risk damage to the vacuum by using non standard parts. I thought it was just a central filter and 3 alternative pre-motor filters but it's actually 3 packs each containing 1 main and a choice of 3 pre-motor filters.Great value and the cleaner now works like new again.

Brilliant concept but bad design!

I purchased this in august 2007. It was fantastic to start off with. It got into awkward places, had excellent suction and a good battery life! What more could you ask for!

In October 2007 a little piece of plastic broke off it whilst emptying it. Unfortunately this single piece prevented the dustbuster from retaining any dust. I sent it back to black and decker. They said that it was a common fault and they are working to try and fix the design.

It took 8 weeks and several phone calls until we finally got it back, albeit a new one, as they lost our original one. Unfortunately this one was the same design and the same problem re-occurred after 2 months. I am sending the product back in exchange for a refund.

If the design was changed i would buy this product again as it is good value for money.

Wow! What a clean car (and stairs) I have!!!

This is without a doubt the best thing I have bought for cleaning! And I hate cleaning!! The turbo brush is great at picking up all those pesky pet hairs from all those places the main Dyson can't get to! My stairs have never been so clean!!!! The flexible crevice tool is good for getting to awkward places too like round the back of pipes and the brush attachment for the end means that no cobweb is safe!!
I was looking at the mini turbine head, and had concerns that the head of this turbo brush might be too small, but my doubts were quashed as soon as I opened the box. In my opinion your money would be better spent on this than the mini turbine head as you get extra tools too!!!! £40 from Dyson, so another bargain from Amazon!
