The worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had

I have had this vacuum cleaner for several months, and it is by far the worst I've ever had. Talk about a false economy! It simply doesn't suck. The only way to get it to do anything at all is by removing the long straight tube and using the little attachment on the end of the hose to vacuum inch by inch. Ludicrous!

I have finally found the PERFECT vacuum cleaner! This is it!
Price: fantastic. Performance: fantastic.

My story, why I bought this Premair Allergy vaccum cleaner is this: few months ago I bought a"bagless" vacuum cleaner and I had nothing but unhaappiness with it because it turned out to be noisy, dusty, and unefficient machine even though the engine was 1800. Physically draining sweaty excercise, not to mention the problem of the"bagless" trouble!!!

MORPHY RICHARD'S PREMAIR ALLERGY VACUUM cleaner with a 2300 engine is what I always wanted. It is silent, very powerful, slides through surfaces like a dream, cleans everything, and not an iota of dust particle in the air because all dust and dirt is collected in a tightly sealed bag. THIS IS A DREAM MACHINE. A pleasure to use!

Don't buy"bagless" vacuums. The dust which is not captured,will block your engine. When you have to empty the dustbags, the air fills with particles and you have to breeth in dirt. The so called washable HEPA filters are impossible to brush out or wash clean because the slots are so tight. The filter gets blocked with dust, and your engine will not work well. HEPA filters to replace are very very expensive. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TOLD ABOUT THIS aspect of"bagless" vacuums because they are a totally useless design for someone who wants to stay healthy.

Fantastic!

Really impressed with this great value for money cylinder! I did a lot of researh before buying and took a chance because it was so cheap! It's a lightweight and extremely easy machine to use! On 1st hoovering my carpet tiles,it removed dust from the edges, that's been imposible to shift before! I'm so impressed that I'm going to purchase another one for a family member! Only downside was it didn't come with an instruction booklet but was so easy to use it didn't really need one! Can highly recommend this machine!

Brilliant - look no further for a new vacuum

I have owned a Dyson before which was rubbish - biggest waste of money ever spent. This was followed by an Electrolux which only lasted a couple of months.
I decided to splash out and get a more expensive vacuum cleaner and I'm so glad I did.
I have a lot of wooden floors in my house but a few pile carpets too + stairs and a cat. I also have very long, dark hair which used to be a nightmare for vacuuming up from a carpet, as it generally either snarled up round the rollers or tended to just get pushed backwards and fowards along the floor and I'd inevitably have to bend down and pick it off the floor by hand.

I spent hours researching all sorts of cleaners on the internet and finally decided that the Sebo K3 on paper at least looked like it would cover all of these situations.
This machine screams quality from the minute you take it out of the box. The unit itself is sturdy and the tube is metal with a robust hose (which doesn't give static shocks when vacuuming the carpet!). It comes with an excellent variety of tools - including a powered floor head but to be honest I've hardly used this as the standard head that comes with it works really well. It also has a really long crevice tool which is fantastic for getting down the sides of chairs and for getting into all those awkward spots in the car.
It's quiet(ish), has excellent suction and manoeuvres easily - especially the floor head which has a swivel joint connecting it to the hose making it a dawdle for vacuuming between and around things like chair legs. The bit I like best is that there is a variable power/on/off swtich on the handle for instant use.
I had been worried that a 'bagged' vacuum would work out expensive to run because of the cost of the bags but the dust bags work out at about a £1 each. I've been using this vacuum for months without having to change the bag and have only just changed the first bag. The beauty being that you don't have to choke on all the dust like you do with a bagless vacuum when emptying it. It also means that the suction now is as good as the first day as none of the inner workings get clogged with dust.
I'd highly recommend this vacuum to anyone thinking of purchasing a new one: splash out and get yourself a decent machine that will last for years.

Light, powerful and flexible

We've used the same Sebo for more than eight years without a single problem. But we wanted something lighter and more powerful for a bigger house with lots of carpet, some lino, two kids and a cat.

Dysons are all heavy and we had concerns about reliability - I don't know of many that are still going strong after eight years of heavy use, anyway.

This new Sebo is light but really powerful. We bought the duster brush too, which is excellent at stripping dust and webs from venetian blinds, curtain pelmets, picture tops etc.

The two floor heads (one for carpet and one for hard floors) interchange easily. You can leave the heads off and just use the hose and body for the stairs, which makes light work of it. The height on the carpet head adjusts for optimum performance and the power can be varied, too.

The handle height is adjustable. It's really easy to steer and one side of the head sticks out like a hammerhead shark's eye, so you can whizz easily along under radiators.

Don't be put off by the fact that this vacuum has a bag - it has more than enough power to deal with the job in hand; power is what used to let vacuums down but Sebos are good in this department.

Finally, this Sebo comes in a choice of designs that look either groovy or just neat. That doesn't really matter, since most of the time it's tucked in a cupboard. But a Dyson is a pricey-yet-tacky, plasticised cross between C3P0 from Star Wars and a traffic cone. Yuk.

Excellent value for money!

I completely agree with S. Whittle. After having got increasingly frustrated at expensive domestic hoovers, my husband splashed out £150 on a commercial model. Needing a second and knowing I had a better eye for a bargain I found this model. It's a very good mid-ground between a commercial hoover (heavy weight, large capacity, large motor) and a domestic (telescopic attachments, adjustable power, on-board tools). As the previous reviewer says, the only thing it lacks is a power lead winder! The suction is fantastic and it's an absolute joy, rather than a battle, to hoover the flat. If you need a work-horse, for heavans sake buy whilst it's at this great price!
