Great for pet hairs

I'm absolutely delighted with this product. It really gets rid of pet hairs and the mini rotating brush is brilliant for the stairs, sofas, etc.
Can't recommend it enough.

BARGAIN

I have had his hoover for about 18 months and I have to say, for the £40 that it cost, its brilliant!. Rather heavy, but I got used to that and it really picks up everything in its tracks. Bargain I'd say. However, I did have the same problem a couple of months after purchasing, with it cutting out after id just managed to hoover the room carpet, just about to hoover the hallway and it would go. This happened on 4 occasions until I rang my Gran who has the same hoover, she asked if I ever cleaned the filter......NO! Ha. Once I had cleaned the filter, and put the spare filter in (very considerate of Morphy Richards, as I leave my cleaned one out to dry) it worked as new again. I clean it once a month and its never cut out since.

However, last week, a part fell off it(!) the bit that moves up and down underneath when you you switch the mode to different carpet piles/wood/tools. I rang the helpline, they asked me to fax a copy of the receipt and are now sending a new hoover, the next model up in replacement as it has 2 years guarantee. (By the way, my hoover didn't have a serial number printed on it for some reason, but if it had, they would have used that to replace the machine and no receipt would have been necessary, good eh?)

I would definitely recommend this hoover, its a bargain. Just for comparison, I had to use my mums Dyson this weekend while I wait for my replacement, which cost her nearly £300!!! (What?!!) I really wasn't impressed, its one on those with the ball in the middle and you have to use the handle to move the hoover side to side and the hose and the bits are too awkward to use...its like an assault course using one of these, too finicky.

As good as a Dyson should be

We didn't find it hard to assemble. It's hard to fault, but yes the mechanism that locks it upright is a slight 'get the hang of it' job. We've had a DC01, this replaces our dying DC07, which i can't bring myself to throw out yet. Is the DC18 worth £80+ more than the DC07. No. Unless you simply have to be able to switch the brush bar off. I would have bought another DC07, but my wife and children adore the 18. Oh the tank is small, but what do you expect with a slimmer, lighter model ?

Just bought this vacuum to replace my DC07.

It looks great,picks up loads more than our DC07,but it's VERY HEAVY.At over 10Kg my back was hurting and felt like I'd been at the gym and that was after only 1/2 the house.While the hoses do go right up the stairs you have to attach extension hoses not kept with the machine.Even with these attached the hoover fell over three times when I used it and two attachments fell off their housings! To use the hose you have to remove it from an inflexible plastic clip, which I feel might break fairly quickly, and I had to sit/kneel down to perform this action. My husband thinks it has great cleaning power, but I would have in hind sight brought a much lighter machine.

better than bissell.............

Nearly bought a dyson a year ago but for some reason ended up with the lift off Bissell..... Well thet lasted a full 14months before it blew up and so we now have what i should have got in the first place, the dyson dc14... Light, quiet does what its meant to do with no fuss, what more can I say, PERFECT and for £149.00 from amazon what a deal but it shot up £80 the day after I got one????????

A FEW YEARS BACK I SPENT A BRIEF TIME AS A VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN. THE CLEANERS I SOLD WERE MADE BY VORWERK AND WITHOUT A DOUBT ARE THE BEST ON THE MARKET. HOWEVER THEY RETAIL AT OVER £450 WHICH IS MORE THAN MOST WILL PAY FOR A 'HOOVER.'

THE SEBO, IN MY OPINION, IS THE BEST CLEANER UNDER £400 AND IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE IT'S COMPETITION. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR THE JOB:- GOOD SUCTION, AUTO-ADJUSTING ROLLER HEIGHT, EASY TO USE TOOLS AND A FILTER THAT EXPELS CLEANER AIR THAN IT TAKES IN.

TO FINISH, I WOULD SAY THAT EVEN IF YOU DON'T BUY A SEBO THINK LONG AN HARD BEFORE YOU FALL FOR DYSON'S GIMMICKS.

Rubbish

I think this is the newer version of the 1600w Vitesse. It certainly sucks up the dirt plus the dog's hairs but the trouble is that it clogs quickly because of the dog's hairs against the filter. Having done this the motor cuts out and you have to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down so it will start again. I emptied it and have just done the dining room which is about 4.5m x 3.5m and it clogged and cut out.

I'm going to take it up to the tip.

Best rechargeable vacuum cleaner

I bought this rechargeable vacuum cleaner on a half price offer, here on Amazon. I thought the full price seemed a little excessive as there are full sized vacuums cleaners for the same price and this was to be a second cleaner, for a"qucik" job.
I have had a couple of rechargeable cleaners, but this is FABULOUS. I can whip round the whole house in about 15 minutes, and the dirt and dust it picks up is unbelievable. I barely use my large cleaner now. The suction power that this little machine has is phenomenal. It is so lightweight, it goes anywhere.
The"pull out" hand-held cleaner is great for all the crevices and skirting boards and works well in the car.
It is easy to empty and the filter in the collection cup makes it clean to use. It is easy to recharge, on it's own stand. GREAT, I love it........

Do not buy this hoover

Please do not buy this hoover I have owned this product for several months now and it has to be one of the worst hoovers I have ever owned. The hoover is heavy and bulky and the suction is poor, especially if you are using the brush tool attachment but the worst thing about this hoover is the hose does not stay attached to the hoover so whilst you are busy hoovering away the hose is blowing everything back out onto the carpets I seem to spend most of the time re-attaching the hose to the hoover. I bought this hoover in haste (not from amazon)and when I go replace this hoover (which will be very soon) I'll make sure I do my homework first. It doesn't even deserve the 1 star it has received
