FORGET DYSON

A FEW YEARS BACK I SPENT A BRIEF TIME AS A VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN. THE CLEANERS I SOLD WERE MADE BY VORWERK AND WITHOUT A DOUBT ARE THE BEST ON THE MARKET. HOWEVER THEY RETAIL AT OVER £450 WHICH IS MORE THAN MOST WILL PAY FOR A 'HOOVER.'

THE SEBO, IN MY OPINION, IS THE BEST CLEANER UNDER £400 AND IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE IT'S COMPETITION. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR THE JOB:- GOOD SUCTION, AUTO-ADJUSTING ROLLER HEIGHT, EASY TO USE TOOLS AND A FILTER THAT EXPELS CLEANER AIR THAN IT TAKES IN.

TO FINISH, I WOULD SAY THAT EVEN IF YOU DON'T BUY A SEBO THINK LONG AN HARD BEFORE YOU FALL FOR DYSON'S GIMMICKS.

A beast of a hoover!

I have bought bagless hoovers before and they have often been quite a pain to properly empty, this is not the case with the Dyson it was the simplest thing in the world to empty it.

The normally dull and laborious chore of hovering the houe was turned in to a simple 5 minute job as this hoover glided across the floor leaving a carpet that hadn't been hoovered for 2 weeks before look brand new!

This is a fantastic hoover that despite being very efficient at picking up dust and even larger items with ease is not even slightly awkward to push around the room!

Buy this hoover and you will certainly not regret it!

Coughing and Spluttering!

At first, the hoover picked up everything and worked well, although we had to constantly adjust the brush head. About three weeks after purchase the hoover is leaving as much dust and dirt as it picks up. It blows out a lot of dust through the hepa filter. I literally end up covered in dust after I vacuum! When the hoover is propped upright it leaves piles of dust on the carpet. I cough for hours after vacuuming - this was a relacement for a Dyson which we got because we have three dogs and thought it would be more effective - we were wrong!!!

Superb!!!

I have had this Vax hoover for about 6 weeks and overall have been really impressed. I initially bought it because of the appearance; it looked like a machine which would be very powerful.

I wasn't disappointed, this is incredibly powerful. When I first used it, it was only the day before I had cleaned with my old Dyson and even so, there was so much dust collected in the bin that it looked as if my carpet had not been vacuumed in years!

This Vax also has an adjustable brush so you can use it on our kitchen lino and also wooden floors, without fear of it scratching - my old broom has gone in the dustbin! It is a little heavy, but no more so than my old Dyson (I think it is because the suction is so strong) and it doesn't really matter because there is a long hose (also a very long cable) which reaches to the top of the stairs, so you do not have to lift it up the stairs as you clean. I really liked the tools for cleaning the stairs, it was really useful.

I have a dog and one thing which initially put me off buying the V-060C, was that it did not specifically say it was for pet hair, however, when I opened it, it does have a `Turbo tool' this is a very powerful little brush, which rotates and therefore is fantastic for picking up dog hair, even when it is all tangled in my rug. It also has a filter which is supposed to get rid of pet smells, and so far so good - my wife has said there is no doggy smell from the hoover.

I would really recommend this; it performs extremely well on carpets, wooden floors and dog hair. I think it is great value for money.

BARGAIN

I have had his hoover for about 18 months and I have to say, for the £40 that it cost, its brilliant!. Rather heavy, but I got used to that and it really picks up everything in its tracks. Bargain I'd say. However, I did have the same problem a couple of months after purchasing, with it cutting out after id just managed to hoover the room carpet, just about to hoover the hallway and it would go. This happened on 4 occasions until I rang my Gran who has the same hoover, she asked if I ever cleaned the filter......NO! Ha. Once I had cleaned the filter, and put the spare filter in (very considerate of Morphy Richards, as I leave my cleaned one out to dry) it worked as new again. I clean it once a month and its never cut out since.

However, last week, a part fell off it(!) the bit that moves up and down underneath when you you switch the mode to different carpet piles/wood/tools. I rang the helpline, they asked me to fax a copy of the receipt and are now sending a new hoover, the next model up in replacement as it has 2 years guarantee. (By the way, my hoover didn't have a serial number printed on it for some reason, but if it had, they would have used that to replace the machine and no receipt would have been necessary, good eh?)

I would definitely recommend this hoover, its a bargain. Just for comparison, I had to use my mums Dyson this weekend while I wait for my replacement, which cost her nearly £300!!! (What?!!) I really wasn't impressed, its one on those with the ball in the middle and you have to use the handle to move the hoover side to side and the hose and the bits are too awkward to use...its like an assault course using one of these, too finicky.

Great for pet hairs

I'm absolutely delighted with this product. It really gets rid of pet hairs and the mini rotating brush is brilliant for the stairs, sofas, etc.
Can't recommend it enough.
