However I can only rate it as 2 stars because after a couple of months of use the handle snapped off when I picked it up full of water. I'm not sure if mine had a weak spot or if this is a design flaw - it does appear that the full stress of the weight of the jug and water is applied to one specific point, where the handle meets the jug. I'm awaiting Amazon's view on this.

Handle snapped off after a couple of months
From a practicality point of view this water filter is ideal for people who drink lots of water, it filters quickly and the capacity is great. The price is reasonable too.However I can only rate it as 2 stars because after a couple of months of use the handle snapped off when I picked it up full of water. Nice Decoration but Undrinkable Water!
The Simpsons Water Dispenser is a nice little feature to have in your room, or where ever you like realy. What attracted me to this was that 3 eyed fishy floating around the water tank! Unfortunatly that little fishy makes the water taste like rubber, and if you don't clean the water tank out 3 times a week he goes moldy. Speaking of cleaning it, its very fiddley to get the water bottle off the top without spilling some water on the floor. Also the tank isn't actualy attached to the dispenser in anyway which could cause a few accidents. And encase you were wondering, it doesn't cool the water its just a storage tank.I probably wouldnt reccomend this to anyone, sorry.

I bought this jug because of its size so that it would supply water to my family of four. I was disappointed to find that the filtered water it produces has a chemical taste which I do not like and also that it does not fit easily into the fridge and I've had to remove a shelf to get it in. Before buying this jug I would consider individual requirements before investing in such an expensive and cumbersome size object.53

Seriously though it is a great product. Water lovely and cool and tastes great. Easy to refill and beautiful colours"flowing" through the water unit (this can be turned off).
At first I thought it was noisy but I have mine in a kitchen and, when I shut the door, I hear nothing. It is a lot quieter than my fridge anyway.
Only downside is I now feel the need to upgrade my kitchen to match this uber-cool unit!

A great treat
I am very happy with mine not least because I ordered it free with my Nectar points (!)Seriously though it is a great product. Water lovely and cool and tastes great. Easy to refill and beautiful colours"flowing" through the water unit (this can be turned off).

Unfortunately shelling out for a more expensive kettle delivers nothing extra in terms of function or reliability with this kettle. I also have a model with a lid that pops up mid boil or during pouring such that you get a nice blast of scalding steam on your hand when you least expect it. I barely got 6 months use out of it before it started doing this.
