Easy money!!!

This has to be the best investment i have ever made....for less than 40 quid i have gained over 700 quid in just two sites!
Its so easy to use, (once you get your head around the buttons etc) and very easy to publish too!....the templates are fantastic and look so slick!...and it so easy to build from scratch as well!....the only draw back is when you build a contact page with an online submission form the user has to have an active outlook account (as far as i can see anyway)...which not a lot of people have these days....but the software merges with frontpage beautifuly...so no worries there either!....
As you can gather i recomend this bit of kit to any one from the very beginer to the top web designer pro!....go make some lovely dosh!!!!!

Fantastic value

CompositeLab is a great piece of software at an unbelievably low price. Where certain compositing tools cost a multiple of it, CompositeLab reaches and sometimes even surpasses them in power, easy-of-use and flexibility.
The incorporated filters include grading, masking and all kinds of different compositing filters suitable for almost every kind of footage. It has been specifically designed to work with DV footage, which still often gives bad results with other software because of the different color sampling. CompositeLab has grading filter which allow to improve the color info your footage before applying the key, so you can get clean results even at badly light green screens or blue screens.
The incorporated garbate mattes are fantastic for hand drawn masks and even make complex rotoscoping a job of minutes instead of hours because of it's flexible keyframe system.
Apart from the fact it runs a bit slower then other packages - which I'm sure will change with future updates, fxhome made a gold mine for filmmakers here who want to have big budget results on a low budget price.

Best Software Ever

I really could talk for days about what this software can do, but i'll try and keep to the main points. I've owned VisionLab for two months now and haven't regretted it one bit. The four effects engines are so versatile that there are litterally billions of effects you could crete. You're really only limited by your imagination. Add to that all the grading filters and the ability to composite using green/blue screens effortlessly, and you've got a pretty sweet program, worth much more than the asking price, and with a commercial license too. You could get 'after effects' and do all that i suppose, but that'll cost nearly 4 times as much.

Where this program really outshines anything else out there is in the support, which is basically flawless. Often you'll be able to chat live with the software developers about any issues your having. I don't know anywhere else that even tries to match the level of support Fxhome gives day in day out.

Frustrating - do it yourself or use a designer!

I am not a graphic designer so I thought this software might help me overcome my major limitation as a builder of web sites. It has lots of reasonably designed menus from which to choose. It even allows you to choose where you want to store the graphics that make up your menu. Do not use this option.
I use Dreamweaver with Xara. Integration with Dreamweaver is poor. OK, so Xara adds a menu option to the insert menu which will launch Xara. However, selecting the menu graphics on your page in Dreamweaver gives no information in the Properties Inspector.
When you save your nice new menu graphics it allows you to secify the folder. Do not do this. Unless you use the folder where your HTML file is located (the default), your web page cannot fine the graphics! Yes, I know. I found this so hard to believe, I tried it four or five times.

The not used it since Review

Well I got my package.. and spent a couple of days getting very flustrated because the keys would not work.. once I decided to think what would the numpty doing the putting of the stickers of the ids go and mess up.. yep you guessed the stickers were the wrong way around for each of the two xara products. In the end Amazon gave me a £5 voucher which I used for a valentine pressie for my hubbie and a voucher for vistaprint which has come in really handy so I forgave Amazon. So I used it and found the code does not validate I had to spend time validating the code.. and I hear the latest stuff does not validate either... much use that is! Xara nice graphics shame about the code... if your going to get into the business of creating stuff that is going to be used on the web MAKE IT VALIDATE! I was not happy using templates that a lot of other people were using either, so once my mother board burnt out and I got a new lapt top with vista I've not bothered reinstalling it... it would be interesting to see what hoops I'll have to jump through to get it working on Vista. Not impressed so far.

Not one regret!

I recently brought LiveMotion and for someone who was unfamiliar with the world of web animation I honestly felt a little intimidated when it arrived. Could I use something this advanced? I'm only 15!

The software installed without glitches and it was up and running without a re-boot. At first the program appeared to be very difficult to start using like Macromedia's FlashMX. Very soon into using the program you begin to pick up the fundamentals and it becomes very easy to use. Even after a few hours you can begin to create impressive stuff. The online tutorials are great and the LiveMotion manual is an excellentplace to start to learn the program.

I have no regrets about buying the program it is far less overwhelming than Macromedia's FlashMX and cheaper! Although it isn't the offical program for creating Macromedia Flash objects it can still compete with the offical program and maybe better?

Outstanding software...

Although at first sight the new version of Flash appears to be not much of an upgrade from 4, once you look deeper into the program it becomes clear that Macromedia have completely redesigned the way it works. It is still familiar and easy to use, to the extent that a child could learn it, but when you want to go deeper into web design the oppurtunity is there with Flash.

The inclusion of ActionScript is a big change from Flash 4, a lot of people will be unhappy with having to relearn how to program more complex actions, but anyone who is going to be doing anything that complecated should have no trouble picking up ActionScript. It is based on the standard for Javascript and therefore has much in common with any programming language, making it easy to pick up for anyone who has the slightest idea how to programme. The possibilities for things to do with ActionScript are endless, as through a combination of code you can achieve pretty much anything, which is an improvement on the slightly restrictive version 4.

Flash 5 is worth buying whether you are just upgrading from version 4, or starting out with web design, if you have trouble using this program then web design is not for you! Anyone with any previous knowledge of Flash should be able to pick up 5's features and use them in some detail in a matter of hours! Definately worth buying!

There's a reason why this is the industry standard

Enough said, really. Nothing comes close to Dreamweaver for developing web sites. Fireworks is a useful tool, and if you need to create Flash content then you have to use Flash, simple.
